We were using Deltek and it seems that they have been making longer strides over the course of the last 12 months. We took on Unanet because our BD team had launched Unanet CRM. We reviewed AE, liked the UI and found it more modern than Deltek. What we have come to learn (the hard way) after doing a deep dive and ongoing implementation is that many of the things we didn't like about Deltek live in Unanet AE just under a different mask. Accounting - accounts receivable, payable, invoicing, and performance reviews. Ease of implementing payments, invoicing, and receivables is very straightforward. Unanet is project management software that allows detailed information on your projects, by constantly tracks employee’s work. Unanet’s timesheet feature allows you to get detailed insights on your projects, tasks, and company performance at any stage of a project. Unanet’s learning Center and customer support were very helpful when I first learned. Still today I use the learning Center to enhance my work efficiency. All in all, Unanet AE ERP is very user friendly. **What do you dislike about Unanet AE ERP?** Cannot track invoices sent by email. There should be some sort of flag marking an invoice that was sent by email. Currently sending an invoice by email only shows immediately after sending, but no other flag shows up in the project document area. There is an extra service that you can pay to have them track your invoices. The system does not integrate easily with other systems. Customer support is primarily through connecting customers with one another to problem solve together. But it is overall pretty user friendly. Support is helpful and very responsive. I've not used other softwares so I can't really compare it to anything to know if there is something better out there for architects and engineers. **What do you dislike about Unanet AE ERP?** Reporting is limited. Unless you know how to write scripts you are stuck with the out of the box options or spending a lot of money to get reports created for you. Most reports you need to create for yourself and that is a big time sucker. **What problems is Unanet AE ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** The new addition of the AP invoice approval system has been a big help for a firm. Unable to find alot of reports out of the box that are promoted as existing on teh Unanet website.
