**What do you like best about TRAITS?**

TRAITS presents very insightful information on the individual and how they may be amending their traits in their role.

**What do you dislike about TRAITS?**

I have to be honest. In 12 years of using TRAITS there has never been a downside. Users are very positive about the insights it offers.

**What problems is TRAITS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TRAITS to address various issues such as recruitment, performance management, role transition, and executive coaching. We don't use it to judge individuals, but rather as a starting point for discussion. We let individuals know that a role requiring certain traits for high performance may not align with their preferences and strengths. This helps them understand the importance of finding a role that fits their natural strengths and preferences, rather than feeling like there's something wrong with them when they struggle in a role that doesn't align with their traits.

We also use TRAITS with teams to create a team profile that helps members understand each other's strengths and preferences. This often leads to eureka moments where team members realize that certain traits may be missing on the team. While some individuals are highly adaptable, many find it stressful and unproductive to act "out of preference," which is why aligning roles with individual traits is crucial for engagement and productivity.

This benefits both my clients and myself personally. Clients find their TRAITS results empowering, often for the first time gaining a deep understanding of why they haven't been happy in their job or role. The additional information in the report about what would motivate and engage them enables them to make more informed decisions about future possibilities. At the very least, they gain insight into how they may need to act out of preference in their current role to deliver what's required.

**What do you like best about TRAITS?**

"Right person - right seat" is the quote we have all heard many times in our businesses. It’s the benchmark for untapping personal performance. As much as this quote is said, how often are we actually considering all the resources available to make this happen? This was the case in our business years ago. We did what we were supposed to… review resumes, select some for interviews, prepare for the interview, conduct the interview, maybe have another interview, and then select the best candidate. Then something would happen; they would either thrive or move on… Turnover was costing us more than we knew. Since using TRAITS, our turnover related to role–individual alignment has been eliminated. TRAITS's clarity allows us to select the right candidate for the role and further develop them into the performer they want to be. TRAITS is very simple to use and understand, and I strongly encourage any business leader or manager to give TRAITS a try.

There is nothing we dislike about TRAITS.

**What problems is TRAITS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TRAITS provides us with a significant layer of information when selecting candidates for an interview. It also helps us choose better questions to maximize the critical time we have with our candidate during the interview process. 

Personal development also becomes easier using TRAITS. If there are issues to resolve, the TRAITS reports can provide insights into where things are becoming off-track.
