How much does Toggl cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Toggl pricing in 2026 starts at $9.00 and can reach $18.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Toggl's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Toggl pricing best suited for?

Toggl Track's pricing is best suited for freelancers and small businesses, who represent the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers. The free plan is particularly well-matched to solo professionals and teams of five or fewer in industries like graphic design, marketing, consulting, and legal services, where basic time tracking and reporting suffice. G2 reviewers in these segments frequently report the free tier fully covers their needs. The Starter plan suits small teams needing billable rates and project estimates, while the Premium tier appeals to growing agencies and service firms requiring timesheet approvals and labor cost visibility. Enterprise reviewers on G2 are less common but note Toggl Track scales adequately for larger organizations.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Toggl?

Toggl Track's free plan supports teams of up to five users and includes unlimited time tracking, projects, clients, tags, exportable reports, automated tracking, and integrations with Google and Outlook Calendar, but limits inactive data storage to six months. Toggl Track's paid plans starting at $9.00 per user per month unlock billable rates, time rounding, saved reports, project estimates, and unlimited data storage. The Premium tier at $18.00 adds fixed fee projects, timesheet approvals, team reminders, labor cost tracking, and native Jira and Salesforce integrations. G2 reviewers frequently cite billable rates and advanced reporting as the primary drivers for upgrading from the free plan.

Is Toggl considered good value for its pricing?

Toggl Track is broadly considered good value, particularly at the free tier. G2 reviewers consistently praise the free plan as surprisingly capable, with many small business users and freelancers reporting it fully meets their needs for time tracking, reporting, and project organization. However, pricing concerns are a recurring theme in G2 reviews, with multiple users describing the paid plans as expensive, especially for solo users or small teams scaling beyond five members. G2 reviewers in design, marketing, and IT note that while the Starter and Premium tiers unlock genuinely useful features like billable rates and timesheet approvals, the per-user cost can feel steep relative to the core functionality delivered.

"Intuitive Time Tracking with Minor AI Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I really like the intuitive interface on Toggl, which feels playful and engaging. The push play option is a game changer for tracking time; it's really easy and eliminates the need to input tedious codes, which was the case in my previous experience with another company. I value the ability to slice and dice my data, helping me to analyze which clients I dedicate the most time to and make batch changes easily. Toggl has been the easiest tool to use compared to others I've tried, and it's great that you can use it on both your phone and laptop. The initial setup was super easy, which just adds to the overall user-friendly experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I wish that the area where you type to put in a certain code worked a little bit better. Sometimes I'll type something in and it won't come up—I have to delete it and put in two letters to see if it comes up, which is a bit annoying. I think the AI feature or the guessing of what I'm going to put could be improved. Also, the navigation for reports is a little confusing. Once you've done it, it makes sense, but I wish it was a little easier to understand right from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
