# Is Stack Overflow for Teams (now Stack Internal) worth it for an engineering team, or does a lighter tool like Tettra do the job?

Stack Internal wins when engineers answer engineers. Voting (0.92), Reputation (0.89) and Q&A (0.94) scores reflect the public Stack Overflow model: the best answer rises, the asker marks it accepted, and duplicates get closed. Reviewers are mostly software engineers at mid-size and small companies. It's built for code-level questions with several plausible answers.

Tettra wins when the question has one right answer and someone has to own it. Searchable (0.96) and Knowledge Integrations (0.94) are its high scores, and the verification workflow assigns a page owner and flags it when it goes stale. Free up to 10 users, priced per user after. It's built for process and ops questions from support, marketing and small engineering teams.

For long-term engagement, Stack Internal feels more likely to stay active if engineers are constantly solving nuanced technical problems. I’d also add Guru to the comparison for teams that want lightweight knowledge capture with stronger verification and workflow support.
