"Solid Time Tracker with Great Integrations, Needs Mobile App Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I like that Toggl helps me keep my time tracking accurate, from start to end, and provides visibility on what I've done and how much time it's taken. I appreciate that Toggl is integrated with the software I use, like Jira, Google Calendar, and Google Sheets, making it easy to time tasks directly from those apps without needing to create new descriptions myself. It's really convenient that I can time tasks right from the ticket interface in Jira, and I don't have to type or copy-paste details. The ease of starting and stopping the timer with these integrations saves me a lot of time, especially because accuracy is crucial for the KPIs and SLAs in my work. Also, I love being able to monitor my time from the Toggl website without needing to switch tabs, as it's visible at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

Sometimes Toggl isn't perfect because of the frequent updates, which can be both helpful and annoying. For example, there's a new feature that notifies me when I've been idle, which is nice, but sometimes the timing isn't accurate. Particularly with Jira, the timer doesn't always show on the tab, making it confusing to know if it's running unless I check directly. Also, the mobile app is the weakest part, as it doesn't show real-time updates and often requires refreshing multiple times to reflect times accurately. It's not as comprehensive as the website version, which can be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Solution for Client Time Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

It’s very user-friendly. By the end of the day, I hardly even remember all the work I’ve done, and Toggl really saves my life. I use the timer to log time across multiple clients and tasks, which makes it much easier to stay on top of everything. Performance is very good too—it doesn’t lag, and it can easily pull my reports and our team reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I don’t see any major downsides to Toggl overall, but I would like more advanced reporting features and additional options for customizing dashboards. At times, it takes extra effort and time to extract the data and analyze it in the exact format needed for management reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Google Calendar Sync, but Project Autopopulation Can Mislog Hours"
3/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I like that I can connect it to my Google Calendar. In the morning, I time-block my day on G-Cal, and then at the end of the day I can easily log my hours in Toggl. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I don’t like that it doesn’t always autopopulate the project number. Sometimes I have to go in and enter it manually, and even when it does autopopulate, it sometimes fills in the wrong project. I’ve gotten in trouble a couple of times for logging hours incorrectly because I didn’t catch that it had autopopulated the wrong project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Toggl Keeps Us Organized Across Multiple Clients and Billable Hours"
5/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

Toggl is a great platform for us to stay organized managing multiple clients we are managing. It links to our Google Calendar and allows us to stay on track with meetings, time spent working in systems and keeping all billable hours organized per client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

With working across multiple clients, one of the biggest challenges we face is switching between clients and projects. It would be helpful to have stronger tools for managing multiple clients at once, particularly around switching projects, reviewing time per client and identifying how much time is spent on each client. "Seamless time tracking from every angle"
5/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

It’s very easy to use and genuinely user-friendly. Right from the start, a new user can log in and quickly understand how to log time and sync their calendar. It takes very little hands-on support to get familiar with the basics.

The Outlook integration makes it incredibly easy to pre-plan time. With the AI features, time entries can be predicted and autofilled; after just a few weeks of entries, it starts noticing patterns and making suggestions, which is a huge time-saver.

There are also frequent updates. Ideas our team shared were quickly pushed through the development cycle, so it’s great to know the Toggl team truly listens and adapts the product to the unique needs that come up.

There are so multiple places to log time - the app, the web page, a browser extension. It makes logging time feel seamless and quick, and each environment updates immediately to reflect the addition in any space. That alone has been a huge boon for our team. If you like to use a timer you can use a timer, if you want to use an app to track your calendar, you can, if you prefer just clicking a button in your browser, its there. In addition to the integration with Slack and Jira, it fits into our current processes so well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

The biggest issue we’ve run into is inconsistent reporting between administrators and end users, especially when it comes to viewing non-billable time. Each team member has their own needs for tracking billable versus non-billable work, and an admin can easily see those two categories separated in reports. However, that same functionality doesn’t extend to team members. We did find a workaround using tags, but it means they have to filter every time, rather than getting the quick at-a-glance view that admins can access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Time Tracking with Powerful Jira Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I really like Toggl's integration with Jira, especially the auto-start and stop feature which makes time recording seamless. I don't have to worry about manually tracking my time as it syncs automatically. Additionally, the Sync feature simplifies my workflow. The reports summary and detailed options are also useful, and I export them as PDFs at the end of the month for submission. These features make Toggl highly efficient for my time-keeping needs at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I find it a bit annoying that when I make changes from Toggl, I have to go back and unsync and then manually sync again in Jira to get everything updated. It would be really nice if that process could be smoother and more automated. Also, I wish I didn't have to use an external tool to combine the Summary and Detailed reports into a single PDF. It would be great if that could be done within Toggl itself. Another feature that would be handy is the ability to duplicate calendar entries with a new time instead of having to enter everything manually each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Time Tracking with Minor AI Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I really like the intuitive interface on Toggl, which feels playful and engaging. The push play option is a game changer for tracking time; it's really easy and eliminates the need to input tedious codes, which was the case in my previous experience with another company. I value the ability to slice and dice my data, helping me to analyze which clients I dedicate the most time to and make batch changes easily. Toggl has been the easiest tool to use compared to others I've tried, and it's great that you can use it on both your phone and laptop. The initial setup was super easy, which just adds to the overall user-friendly experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I wish that the area where you type to put in a certain code worked a little bit better. Sometimes I'll type something in and it won't come up—I have to delete it and put in two letters to see if it comes up, which is a bit annoying. I think the AI feature or the guessing of what I'm going to put could be improved. Also, the navigation for reports is a little confusing. Once you've done it, it makes sense, but I wish it was a little easier to understand right from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Time Tracking That Helps Me Stay Organized"
4/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

What I like best about Toggl is how easy it is to see where my time is going. I work across different clients and types of projects, so being able to track time by client, project, or task keeps everything organized. I also like being able to go back and review my entries when I need to check how I spent my time. It gives me a much clearer picture of my workload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

The biggest challenge for me is figuring out which category certain time should go under when there are several similar options. The actual time tracking is simple, but the setup can become confusing when each client has different rules for how time needs to be tracked. Clearer guidance around categories would make the experience easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time Tracking That Works!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

As an admin, I like that I can easily monitor hours, pay contractors, and compare their submitted time against their invoices. I can also go back and pull up historical data to see how someone’s workload has grown over time, which is helpful when evaluating capacity or making the case for a pay raise. That same data helps us show when there’s enough work to justify adding support to the team.

I also appreciate that Toggl keeps everything in one place, because it makes it easier to spot patterns and understand how the team is operating. It gives me a clear, reliable picture to reference when planning for the new year during budget season. On top of that, I can filter and organize the data and pull reports in different ways depending on what the CEO is looking for. Overall, Toggl is easy to use and convenient for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

I think Toggl could do a better job of offering simpler, more intuitive admin dashboards. It would also be great if contractor invoicing could be connected so Toggl can quickly flag discrepancies in logged hours, instead of having to catch them manually. I also wish it provided notifications when someone exceeds a set number of hours on a project, or when they haven’t submitted any time at all. Lastly, it would be really useful to be able to correct or update multiple entries at once, and to integrate projects and work in a way that automatically adds entries. That would streamline the process of making edits before submitting time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Time Tracker with Powerful Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Toggl?

I like the Mac interface and love that I can work with the API to connect Toggl with cloud services, ChatGPT, Apex, and more. I enjoy using AI to streamline tracking and generate reports, which helps me check time across different teams. The ability to connect with platforms like browser, Slack, Monday, Asana, and Jira is very beneficial. I also like the calendar view, which provides a clear perspective on my schedule. Generating graphics and reports is another feature I appreciate, as it aids in organizing and managing projects efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toggl?

Sometimes I feel like there should be more tools available within Toggl to keep track of what I'm doing inside the browser. It would be nice if I could upload my browser history and Toggl could see where I was and what I was doing based on the websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
