What I like best about TimeLog is how easy it is to track time and manage projects all in one place. One thing I dislike about TimeLog is that some features, like detailed reporting or integrations, can be a bit tricky to set up at first. The level of integration with other project management software and office suites is limited. For example, in a corporate environment, if a team primarily uses Microsoft Project for project planning or relies on Office 365 for document collaboration, TimeLog does not integrate seamlessly with these, resulting in poor data flow. Intuitive and userfriendly interface. PSA in ERP systems are often overengineered and does not integrate PM processes. TimeLog starts with PM processes and it's therefore easy to get started Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Linking TimeLog to financial management processes is where we experience some challenges.

Integration to economic: certain fields are overwritten and customer email is not transferred. Integration of project master data is limited to project name/ID. I would like all masterdata transferred including project_customer. Only invoice line i transferred to ERP. In order to match revenue to cost centers in an enterprise setup, I need all data on the spec (cost centers per resource and item/account no.), regardless of invoice layout.

Reporting is a mess. Too many reports and none of them gives me the data I need. I presume that most companies have a preference for BI tools and analytics. As a finance professional, I would love a TimeLog adding to excel, were I could work with timelog data in a data cube - or directly with the tables. We use Timelog mainly to track the salary, time-off, holidays and illnesses of our employees. With TimeLog we can see which of the employees are expected to return the next day to work. They are also able to put input in the system so that HR can approve their requests. This way there is no more need of writing e-mails to the HR in order to get a paid leave or holiday.

TimeLog also helps our employees to plan their backups more accordingly. We run a business that is open every single day of the year. We have some weeks where more employees leave than other, and this can result in a problem of order handling. Now we can see a bird view of who is leaving on which period. We would like to get more benefits with this software in the next few months by creating project plans for our future goals. We have problems as none of us understand the tool. We wish that there was a personal training session where someone who is experienced in TimeLog can come over to explain us the basics of this tool, and tutor every single employee.
