TeamMate+ is very flexible and has a lot of features that can be used to support an Audit Department. It is not just workpaper storage. We use it for Time tracking and Issues Management and are gradually working on integrating TeamMate+ into our Risk Assessment process. Every application has drawbacks, TeamMate is no exception. For me, TeamMate's benefits outweigh its drawbacks. These include: user roles and groups can be very confusing and unfortunately to get access we need, we need to assign people multiple times to the same audit/project or Issue to get them the access they need. In our internal audit function, we do raise positive observations as positive findings. Based on what we’ve seen, these don’t need the “5 rules” we use when writing a negative finding such as a title, condition, criteria, risks, and a recommendation. So, as in teammate, you cannot write your positive findings without all of those elements into them. In my view, that level of structure isn’t necessary for a positive observation, and it can even confuse the auditee, since they may assume it’s actually a negative finding. Nothing, I have never met any difficulty ever since I started using teammate in 2017. I feel comfortable as it is the tool that helps me perform my duties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it is cloud based and accessible from anywhere on any device. That is highly convenient. The UI was hard to get used to at first, but now it has grown on me. After using it for multiple years now, I am confident in my ability to navigate through the UI to build audit plans and link workpapers. I appreciate the Microsoft product integrations and use the TM tab in Word and Excel constantly. The performance could be better, because sometimes the TM tabs in the Microsoft products don't always work. When they do, it's seamless and is very helpful. But when it doesn't work, it can tend to be catastrophic, resulting in losing unsaved work. I don't know much about the pricing of TM+, although I have been made aware that it is expensive. Not as expensive as AuditBoard though, so I guess that's a plus. I don't know much about support either, although I do see occasional support updates on my dashboard. I don't remember much from onboarding, but I remember it being very clunky. I have not used the AI features and don't plan to. Typically, AI produced explanations sound like generic word salad. My biggest dislike about TM+ is that occasionally it doesn't save my work, even after I click Save. I don't know why this happens, and I've tried to figure out if there are patterns or trends as to when it doesn't save work. I have not been able to determine the cause. This is the biggest factor of why I dislike TM+. I don't know what the fix is here, but it has got to be reliable and save our work. That is priority #1. TM+ tends to run slowly sometimes. Again, I'm not sure why this happens. It doesn't seem to be an issue with my internet connection, as other websites perform fine even when TM+ is running slow. I don't like the AI interface because it seems very generic without actually saying anything. It likes to add a lot of fluff words that we typically don't use and that don't add anything of value to the paragraph. The Microsoft integrations appear to be buggy, in that sometimes the TM+ tabs work, and other times it doesn't. It seems to be a problem connecting with the server or something, but I'm not sure how the integration works. I also liked the old UI better than the new one. The colors of the icons against the white background make them harder to see. The icons on the blue background were much easier to use. Also, I used to be able to click and drag workpapers under a procedure to change the order they were listed in. Now it seems I am unable to change the workpapers' order once they are uploaded. I use TeamMate+ for internal audit, assurance, and advisory services. It automates our processes for documentation management, issue records, and issue tracking. I find it easy to use, and the dashboard is useful for checking the status of issues, recommendations, and management responses. I find issue management and tracking useful, and I value how TeamMate+ supports the work from planning through fieldwork. It is easy to navigate and manage documentation. I also find risk assessment useful for developing the annual plan, creating department-specific methodologies, and carrying out the plan based on the risk assessment. I appreciate that the internal audit work aligns with standards. TeamMate+ is cloud-based and updates automatically, so updates are easy, and it has more features than TeamMate AM. I think dashboard modification, color coding, and creating my own dashboards need improvement. I have to use Power BI to integrate the data and create my own dashboards, and I’d like TeamMate+ to have a tool for creating them independently without Power BI. I use TeamMate+ on a day-to-day basis to manage internal audit engagements efficiently. What I like the most is that the audit process is centralized, which means everything from audit planning to follow-ups is in one place. This makes it easier to stay organized, track progress, and work along with the team. It's valuable to me as it saves a lot of time because everything related to an audit is stored in one place, allowing me to quickly access all documentation, track the status of engagement, and see review comments without switching files. Overall, TeamMate+ works well for me. But one thing I slightly struggle with is some of the configuration options being difficult to understand, especially for first-time users. Another thing is that the navigation could be more streamlined, as some icons require to be clicked on twice to be opened. Additionally, while the TeamMate+ support team does a great job in guiding for any issue, it would be really helpful if the guidance within the software was a bit more comprehensive. The competition in writing by multiple users on the same online text form, as far as I know, does not currently include mechanisms for signaling to avoid overwriting and data loss. Therefore, it is necessary that activities are distributed considering that in online forms, users can overlap with potential data loss. A simple "traffic light" indicating a model currently in use would suffice to signal to someone accessing shortly after to proceed with caution. Technically, this is more complex than it seems (a user might access a form just out of interest to read), but a check-in/check-out mechanism for the forms should, in my opinion, be implemented at least optionally for those with a workflow where multiple users are working on the same form.
