Whilst it is quite basic and the customisation on the free version isn't massive, you can still create a good learning tool that provides all the information someone would need - and for free I can't complain! **What do you dislike about TalentLMS?** The fact that I can't change things like font type frustrates me sometimes. I would rather be able to change font size than be given the choices of headers etc to choose from. Even if you don't exactly know how to use the site, it's easy to stumble upon what you're trying to perform (like getting a report). I also love that it tracks *everything.* Individual user progress, test results, overall engagement -- you name it! And finally, their customer support team is excellent to work with. They have been able to answer all of my questions and point me to further resources. They go above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. **What do you dislike about TalentLMS?** I've had trouble navigating some settings as a super-admin, but their customer support team has helped me with all of it, so no complaints here! A free version is also available for testing to determine best fit and relevancy for the company. The ability to create self-graded quizzes and assigments that alleviates the work from the trainers. Tracking of learner progress through innovative and creative visual graphs. **What do you dislike about TalentLMS?** The only issue we encountered is how a couple of learners were able to create profiles and enroll themselves in courses without admin assistance, when we specifically set these processes to require admin intervention. I think the issue was because they used single-sign on or something similar. Another would be making assignments function like quizzes where the learner will be required to redo the assignment if they receive a failing grade. For example: Cannot filter courses in course catalog based on user's groups membership. So if you have some internal courses, you can only automatically assign courses once user joined group. But if they decide to opt out from one of the courses, there is no way for them to get it back. It is required to use main portal as a course library if you are planning to have multiple branches for different partners. As a result, users have to type 4 level domains (partner1.university.example.com) if you have main website (example.com) not related to education. No support for wildcard Let's Encrypt certificates. But considering introduction of very small limit on the number of available branches even for premium plans starting from October 2022, this is not that important anymore. The course/group/etc management pages are inconsistent - in one case you can add users on the same page, in another case you should switch between two tabs: one for current users, one for users to enroll. In addition to the previous point: when you are trying to sort users by their role (learner, instructor, admin) on the mixed (enrolled+unenrolled) users list, you either see all learners, or you see all unenrolled users. You have to scroll way too down to see all instructors and/or admins. **Recommendations to others considering TalentLMS:** There are many enterprise level features, but some of them poorly implemented. They seem to shift focus to smaller businesses and educational institutions where TalentLMS utilized as the main portal/website. But if you have main product and wish to use TalentLMS as additional portal, that might not be convenient. It contains a feature that allows one to check their understanding after interacting with a unit. It can be customized if one knows CSS or is comfortable using code. Apparently it's an affordable platform compared to others (but you get what you pay for). **What do you dislike about TalentLMS?** Talent has frequent bugs and glitches and has a clunky old-school interface. Rarely do they update anything or add new features and when they do, it's something weak. They just barely added a Likert scale. If you try to have multiple elements in a unit like text, a picture, and video and you want to center the text, it can break other elements in the unit, requiring you to look at the CSS code and determine why it's not working. (On the plus side, I am learning CSS incidentally due to how much things break and fail in units.) Sometimes it will not save work that I have spent hours putting in. It's too easy to delete an entire course on accident and that cannot be recovered. The interface for users is clunky and ugly and uninspiring. It has a points system and badges but those badges cannot be customized and the points are useless because they can't be used for anything. It's not designed for enterprise but for internal training so if you want to use it for enterprise training, you will have a bad time trying to assign codes to everyone. It doesn't have any good integrations with Salesforce or any other service. Apparently, it's cheap compared to other LMSs which can be very costly (like Skilljar or Thought Industries) but you get what you pay for with Talent. **Recommendations to others considering TalentLMS:** If you are thinking of buying Talent, just know that it's going to be the most basic LMS available and will have the bare minimum of support, updates and features to call itself an LMS. It is not designed for enterprise so if that's what you're looking for, reconsider this choice. Skilljar is better for enterprise in my experience but it's also quite expensive ( a 3 year contract with Skilljar was 75K). **What problems is TalentLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** With a great deal of effort customizing Talent, we can say we have an LMS and customers can interact with content and get a certificate. Almost half of our attendees do face "Server Error 500" and need to wait for 24hors to joy the platform again. We don't recommend this platform to publish "xAPI" as well as "SCORM" based on our 3 years of experience using it. **What problems is TalentLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** we become scalable in a way we never were before. **Official Response from Amelie Marion:** > Klaus, thank you for your review. From an administrative point of view, it is easily accessible and intuitive to use when uploading new courses and tracking participants' engagement. **What do you dislike about TalentLMS?** I haven't had many things I was disappointed in. The program works properly and is effective at helping us do our jobs. I would like to see the program focus more on other uses for the software, like online education for everyone. **What problems is TalentLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a little confused by the play structure. I would like to see more payment options, other than just for "users".
