Yes you can and you can get a very professional result once you do so, especially if you are on a plan with secure connection (SSL) included. There are a few pitfalls to watch out for to ensure that all functionality works and you need to know how to configure the DNS settings (A name, SPF, DKIM, etc.)

Yes! You can customize the URL to use your own domain name. 
Make sure you have access to your public dns account wherever you are hosting your domain.
