The System platform with IDE Archestra is robust with object oriented programming. It enables wide options to achieve an output, enhanced security,superior graphics in Intouch/OMI, Alarming, etc. The IDE along with App servers, historian and Historian client is a great choice for most industries.Also the support service from Aveva is good and can be availed in no time. Something I dislike is there is no option to view where a particular attribute is used in Object scripts. We need to manually find it and it is time comsuming. Also there is no feature to compare two objects derived from same template. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Templates developed for one project can be easily applied to other projects with changes to global variables and instances with minor modifications per site requirements.

2. Integration of GIS module from GISIZE helps to give interactive graphical screens

3. Panes from left, right, top and bottom and their customizations give operator workstation HMI an aesthetic look and ease of use.

4. Situational Awareness library is convenient and, with many options, makes the development faster and increases the operational efficiency of the HMI developed.

5. Scripting is very easy and can be done by a school kid with minimal knowledge of programming language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Cost is much higher than other HMIs. When budget is minimal then System platform is costly to use.

2. upgrade of licenses is not incremental. For eg license to upgrade after 500K historian license is not +5k however we need to purchase another 500k Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Have Interfaces to communicate any advanced System.

Supports OPC, API, etc.

Have Provision for C#, SQL Programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Frequent Crashes or Bugs. Reconfiguration requires periodic.

Need to do many settings over the Security and Management Configurations.

Application Developer mandatorily to be knowledgeable on Networking and Security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
