What problems is Swiftlane solving and how is that benefiting you?
Please be aware that I am one of the condominium owners, not a member of the decision-making Board or management company who decides what to use. Therefore I can only speak as a user of the service, not as a problem-solver or decision-maker. The most useful feature, for me, is the ability to unlock the front door remotely from my phone when I am not on the premises. As for the other features, previously, I did not find using a key to open the front door to be problematic, or have other issues with the traditional set-up, but as I mentioned above, the additional abilities are very nice. But the ability to unlock the elevator from one's phone would, or will, be much more important to me.
Swiftlane has not yet implemented automatic elevator unlocking in my building. Once that is in place, if it works the way I believe it does (i.e., gives users the ability to unlock the elevator from a mobile phone, allowing the elevator to stop at the user's floor without the user having to go out to the hall to unlock the elevator with a physical key, or go downstairs to escort the visitor up). I imagine that I would indeed find that a very useful feature. I don't yet know how it works -- for instance, both elevators would need to unlock because there is no way of knowing which elevator the visitor will get into -- but I look forward to seeing it in process.
