I’ve been using Surfer SEO since 2021 and it’s the best tool for content optimisation. It saves me hours a month or hundreds of dollars I’d otherwise spend outsourcing. The best thing about this SEO tool is that it does it all. Whether it is keyword research, plagiarism detection, NLP optimization, AI content detection, website audit, or humanizing AI content. It does it all.

SERP Analyzer and the AI tools are my favorite part about Surfer. Also, Surfer is pretty easy to use and implement when it comes to your blog content. I found myself using Surfer every few days to write simple articles for my brands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The content Audit tool for competitive content is very good. You still need to use your intuition - following the recommendation to the letter doesn't work, and the content can be augmented to a point where it becomes less readable. But it's still a super useful tool. It's the best in the market at this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They keep scaling your package cost. Frustratingly, they add services I don't need and have in other Pro-level SEO tools like Ahrefs. At the same time, they take away services that I signed up for and need. Then force me to upgrade. (But tell me I'm on a legacy plan - but with less functionality that I originally paid for).
To do real SEO work, you will always need SEMRush or Ahrefs. Surfer is a content audit and improvement supplement. It's really good at this. These extra features they add aren't with it for me because I have other better tools.
Billing is a mess. Constant issues. When you upgrade, they will not pro rata your invoice. You just lose that month's subscription fee. The pass some of you credit over. But mostly, you lose your subscription fee and have to fight for a refund. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Writing legal content simply can't be done without hard work and time. However, Surfer is more like working with a hero or guide who plans or reviews your work and suggests words, terms, and topics which enrich the article you intend to write. I would never write without it. If a webpage isn't worth 20 dollars to get it perfect, then maybe you need to sell something else. Surfer gets it perfect 90% of the time, and you have to review the other 10% and proof Surfer's writing with your soul. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No, it can't completely write or proof the material for you even if you use AI. It will proof or give you an outline. It will get the time limits wrong and small details. Surfer attempts to check the details but it researches what is written on the web to write content or outline an article. In the process, it often picks up ideas that are trash, including outdated or just plain wrong content. However, it is light years better than the other AI writers and outline researchers. Surfer takes longer to generate the articles, but it does so much better that you are glad you got it started and then went to get a cup of coffee and came back to it.
