No long wait when you have to call in. Customer service is AMAZING! **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I do not like that the administrator is the only person authorized to initiate a password change for employees. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease of use especially when accessing payroll reports for the accountant. But it does not. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** SurePayroll processes 3 payrolls successfully for us. On the fourth payroll, the deductions were >2X than previously. There had been no changes on our end (deductions, employee info, etc.) When we called to understand why, we got a variety of explanations, none of which made sense. Put on hold for "just one moment" to speak with a supervisor. After 21 minutes on hold, the call was disconnected on their end. Called back the next day, similar results, but no further explanation. SurePayroll employees had no idea why withholding was doubled from one paycheck to the next. Absolutely no solutions offered from SurePayroll to fix the problem, and difficult to escalate problem to supervisor. Perhaps there is a way to email SurePayroll, but we could never find it. Stressful to find a new payroll processor to get people paid a the last minute. Difficult to explain to your employees. With poor employee knowledge/training/ability to help, SurePayroll does not offer the level of certainty that one needs for payroll processing. Bad news. From customer service - to whom I think is an account rep named Amber. Payroll needs to be reset EVERY time you run a bonus check or commission check.This may not seem like a big deal- but it is. You need to re-enter your payroll schedule, then reset it again when you go back to run regular payroll. At first I thought it was no big deal - I'll just cancel and find a service that is a better fit. When I cancelled, I received a call from "Amber" claiming to be my rep - yet I had never heard of her. If she were truly working with me, she could have advised me of the situation from the start. She offered to keep my information in case I ever wanted to come back. I told her it was a horrible experience and I was moving on. I also asked her how long she had been my rep and/or contact. Apparently it was from the very beginning. I told her that contacting me at the beginning of this business relationship would have avoided this issue. She says "it does not matter, it is not a reflection on me" and hung up the phone. Sure Payroll is a division of Paychecks. Save yourself time and headaches by using a reputable service like ADP or QuickBooks. Once you run and approve the payroll, there is no way you can make adjustments yourself and every time you call customer support you will be talking to a different person. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** If your organization just needs a platform to run payroll and don't need customer support at all, then SurePayroll is for you. Otherwise, look around at other payroll companies' services. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** No benefits realized because I haven't been able to resolve my issues since we enrolled in August 2019. The first 2 payrolls were a special situation because the implementation took too long. I was promised that customer support will help me correct the payrolls ran in August, but it never happened. As a result the first 941 and state reporting done by SurePayroll were incorrect. I will have to amend the reports. ### 14. SurePayroll has been helpful in getting everyone's deductions set up and is very easy to use. The regular reminders for when to process payroll keep all of us on track so our Nanny never misses a check due to our busy lives. It also helps her by deducting taxes from her checks so that she isn't hit by a large bill in the spring during tax season. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** Set-up was tough because I didn't have clear information on the tax ID requirements-i.e. which ones I needed and how to get them. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** Efficient for one person to manage easily-household employees are a tough category to find payroll support for in most cases. The customer service is great and helpful. I had never had employees before let alone set up a payroll system and the team got me plugged in quickly and courteously. I'm sure that I had some pretty dumb questions but they answered them all wonderfully. The system always works when I need it and the automatic payroll is exceptionally convenient. I haven't used the bonus feature yet but I'm excited to use it when that time comes up - I was actually curious how that process would work when I hired my employee but the solution was right there. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I haven't experienced any downsides from SurePayroll. I mean it would be nice if they could fund my payroll for me - but I couldn't ask them to :) **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** If you have any issues at all, or you're simply confused because you've never set up payroll before (like was my experience) just call. I'm not an administrative person and I am a horrible procrastinator when it comes to these sort of chores so this is very helpful. The customer service rep (Josh I think) got me up and running perfectly in time for the payrun so my employee never experienced a delay even though I hadn't set it up very fast. ### 16. I think the most difficult part is having a separate sign in for the administor who does the payroll since they also approve the payroll. But really that is such a small thing. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use direct deposit to pay our employees. Sometimes their pay would be delayed for days because of weekends, holidays, etc. If he first fell on a Friday, they wouldn’t get checks until Wednesday or Thursday the following week. ### 18. Best! Not that big of a deal though. Oh and actually signing in, it always asked me to check the "remember this device" box but it never actually remembers my device. I would love if I didn't have to verify my device every single time. SurePayroll clearly identified the items we needed to obtain. Any time I had a question I was able to quickly get to someone in customer support. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I would like an option to pay a single fee have them file my end of year taxes after I ended the service early. Having a nanny did not work out for our family. My husband dropped his hours to part time so we no longer needed to employ someone. SurePayroll stated that in order for them to file end of year taxes we would need to continue to pay the monthly fee until December 2019. I would prefer not to pay for several months of a service I am not using but would like the option of one flat fee just to file the end of year taxes. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** This service makes paying a household employee super simple. It makes me realize that it's not something out of reach and extremely complicated for an average person to do. ### 20. One of the major benefits is the platform to key in the payroll...it's so much easier to use and I can see any potential errors as I go. We're experiencing a hangup with one of our direct deposit accounts but customer service has been very helpful. I also like that the interface is super simple and straightforward. I'm new to payroll so it's been great to be able to just jump in and know what I'm doing. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** The emails that you send look pretty scamy and unprofessional. I think it's because the text is too small and the branding isn't super prominent. It actually made one of my employees a little uncomfortable. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** SurePayroll is a great service. I honestly signed up because it was highly reviewed, respected while also being one of the most affordable. Easy to use and very well supported. The migration was super easy. The support of the product is incredible. The salesperson was honest and was there post-sale as well. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I would like to see integration to Zoho Books as we are looking to migrate that platform in the future. We simply would like to get a report at minimum or a full integration to their GL function in Zoho. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** Definitely do it. You will not regret it. The team will support you well and the organization will not let you down. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automated withholding, deposits for taxes and integration to QuickBooks. We handle all our deposits, tax calculations and withholding through the platform. The integration to QuickBooks Desktop, Enterprise edition was great as well. Sure Payroll does it all so I can get back to work running my businesses literally in mins and like many small business owners also working in it as well. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I wish SurePayroll would not automatically calculate the PTO hours. In my case it is unhelpful as I front load my employees PTO for a set amount of days per year and when it automatically calculates I have to go in and edit each time I run a payroll. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a small business owner time management is an important factor. in running a business. SurePayroll benefits our business by cutting the enormous amount of time it take to file taxes and run payroll. It has gone down the hill since last 1 year or so. Errors and delays in payroll tax filings are routine now. As a result, there are penalties and fines from various state employment agencies on us now. Customer service is almost non existent at this point. We are going to switch to another payroll company at the end of the year. It is becoming increasingly frustrating to use Sure Payroll. ### 30. Luckily, my accountant uses SurePayroll, so I can just email him to ask what our latest SurePayroll email means to me. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** As the only employee in my small business, I do not have the time or ability to research and calculate all of the payroll deductions required. This is what probably pulled me into choosing them for my payroll. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** I am not new to working with payroll companies, but I am new to trying Surepayroll. In my experience the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. I just received a letter that my State Taxes haven't been paid and after reading reviews on here I hope this doesn't take two years to get rectified. After asked to wire money and me having it to them on a Wednesday/Thursday for my payroll, they tried to take it again auto draft that Friday resulting in NSF Fees. Surepayroll charges 150.00 1st time 250.00 2nd time so I would NOT recommend their auto system. I actually had their CS rep tell me they had to get off the phone (while I was trying to resolve an issue) because they are a call center and she only gets so many minutes!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I would honestly have to say I have not had but only one good experience on the phone with their customer service team. The only person I did have a nice experience with that seemed to care and want to work with me in figuring out issues was the person who works in their cancellation department. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Surepayroll has caused me nothing but stress and headaches. I've not found any benefit at this time of writing this review. I unfortunately will be on the phones dealing with unpaid taxes, NSF fees and an additional payroll they keep trying to receive in which has already been paid per my bank statement. ### 34.
