"Smooth, Headless, and Easy to Integrate—With Great AI Translation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I like the easy-to-use interface, the fact that it’s headless, and that it’s a European company. Definitely also how it's so easy to integrate with many other tools and also features like the AI Translation and just how smooth it generally works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storyblok?

Sometimes, the technical documentation is not quite as extensive as I'd wish, even tough it has had quite a bit of improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight and efficient content collaboration, integrating flexibility with room for price improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I use Storyblok as a backend, allowing developers and content creators to work in the same interface, making it easier to communicate and understand each other accurately and in detail. It's lightweight, easy to deploy, and the editor is user-friendly for content creators. When paired with modern JavaScript frameworks, there are many options for front-end development, with numerous packages available, speeding up delivery and reducing workload significantly. Getting it up and running is not difficult, and overall, it's quite user-friendly. As a modern data and content management tool, I find Storyblok very useful, and I would rate it a 10. What do you dislike about Storyblok?

I feel that Storyblok's API was still being restructured at the time, and many features were not fully released, which is quite unfortunate. I hope the API becomes more powerful, more flexible in usage, and supports multi-account content management. The integration freedom is not very high, with many important features integrated into plugins; for example, we want newly created Stories to automatically appear in the navigation bar, but unlike traditional solutions, it requires trying different approaches and writing custom code to solve it. I also hope for more detailed usage guidance. Additionally, Storyblok's current pricing is getting higher. Another issue is that SB currently lacks a simple authentication system, making it problematic to set some content to be viewable only after login if we want to create a website with user login but no backend. Of course, this issue can be solved by setting up an additional backend, but it would be better if SB had a simple authentication or switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust CMS with Visual Editing, Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I appreciate Storyblok's robust CMS capabilities that allow for visual-led content editing for websites without the need for extensive coding. I love its freedom in defining content blocks and the visual style of structuring content, which suits both my personal and work-related website projects efficiently. Furthermore, the simplicity of Storyblok's initial setup greatly impressed me, making it a straightforward process to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storyblok?

I feel that Storyblok could improve by incorporating insights from Sanity regarding schema-based workflows. Additionally, I find the visual interface of Payload and Sanity CMS to be cleaner and more robust in comparison to Storyblok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Design Tool with Some UI Challenges"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I appreciate Storyblok's translations feature, which helps us sync all our translations into one simple process and allows us to jump between the languages to compare easily. I also find the initial setup quite easy, even though it took some effort as we were moving our entire backend at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storyblok?

I really dislike the bugs with the UI giving errors while editing. The preview UI just returns 404 instead of a page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Modernized The US Department of Health and Human Services Grant.gov System"
5/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I like Storyblok for allowing business users to easily update and publish content. I also enjoy the flexibility it offers as a blank slate that can be developed in any language, and its API-first technology really stands out. It's been incredibly helpful for us to use Storyblok to migrate from legacy code, modernize it, and maintain no downtime, which is fantastic. Additionally, the initial setup of Storyblok was easy and quick, and it has been running solidly for five years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Content Management with a Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

I find Storyblok great for projects across my company, including an eCommerce platform, a PLC site, and an educational site. I appreciate how it solves the reusability of components, making it easy and effective for content editors to use them. I like that it's like a sandbox, allowing flexibility to tailor it to my needs, such as deploying over 20+ domains using one space. The folder-level architecture and restrictions make this possible, and I find that very valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storyblok?

Copying and pasting the contents is easy if you are using one space per project, but we need to manually copy and paste contents in the folders as we cannot use the dimension app. Another thing is the commercetools app; it is not possible to add multiple markets to the same space, which causes problems. Also, the onboarding made us a little bit nervous since there is less walkthrough for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Game-Changing Visual Editor and Flawless Laravel Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Storyblok?

Its visual editor really shines. Letting our clients actually see what they’re working on has been a real game changer for us. On top of that, Riclep’s Laravel Storyblok integration has worked flawlessly so far. The assets CDN is also great, it's working perfect with focal points and is very quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storyblok?

It's pricing has been a bit unstable compared to when we first started using Storyblok, but in a way it's also understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
