I like how Square Point of Sale is so easy to use, even for someone who's never used a point of sale system before. It was one of the first systems I used, and it really made learning to understand, register, and sell products to customers very simple with minimal experience. The usability is great; it's visually appealing, so I don't dread having to use it at work. Plus, the simplicity makes it so much easier to use. I also really appreciate the option for discounts and how easy it is to put them through and edit them. The ability to refund someone easily when a mistake is made is another feature I really like. I don't know if Square Point of Sale has recently added it, but maybe adding a customer award system could improve it. It would be great if it could track the same credit card or email address to offer more connection and incentives for customers to return, enhancing the customer-company relationship. Square POS helps me tremendously when I’m selling at a craft fair or on location with a customer. It also makes it easy to provide a customer with a detailed receipt, along with the opportunity to leave a review. Conflict negotiation is also a built-in feature, which I appreciate. It's affordable with many features that you can add to fit the needs of your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale? It’s so troublesome to switch because it’s deeply integrated into so many aspects of my business, and that’s honestly what has kept me from switching. But it has the WORST customer support I’ve ever experienced in my entire life—truly, and this is not an exaggeration. The product itself also feels so messy that it’s nearly impossible to search for anything or find things where they used to be, because everything is constantly being reorganized or reshuffled under a different product line. But the support is SO bad that I would not recommend it. I spent 2+ hours trying to understand why a discount wasn’t working as set up, and they escalated it all the way to advanced support, then “resolved” the issue without even telling me what they did or how it was fixed. So I lost 2 hours of my life AND revenue. Weebly aka Square online also has atrocious support which seems to be a separate team from the main square support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I find Square Point of Sale incredibly useful for invoicing and sending estimates to clients. I really like that I don't have to be face to face with the client to exchange information, which makes it a real time saver. I also appreciate that I can set up templates and products ahead of time, enabling me to create estimates in no time. The customer-facing interface is clear and easy for clients to understand. I don't have to manually input everything each time; with just a push of a button, a product or line item is pre-populated. The initial setup was very easy too. I really like using Square Point of Sale at craft shows and vendor markets because it's small and super convenient; I can even use it on my phone. The best feature for me is its ability to store payment information and accept sales even when I don't have a cell signal, which is super helpful in areas with bad signals. I also appreciate its easy, simple, and minimalist user interface. The ability to tap a customer's credit card on my phone without swiping is super fast, and customers appreciate that. They dont offer much support as far as confirming if a personal device may be compatible with a reader. I really appreciate the ease of use with Square Point of Sale. It's easy to get started using it and setting it up, which only takes about five to ten minutes and is pretty straightforward, seamless, and easy. I also like that it integrates with Joiste, the application I use for writing estimates and invoices. This integration allows me to use them in conjunction with each other, making it really convenient. The process of sending estimates and creating invoices through Joist, which clients can then pay through Square, is all automated and goes straight into my account, so there's nothing else that needs to be done. It used to be in stores everywhere. Now I don't see them around much more since you order online. Maybe they can make that something that's easier to obtain again. I believe they also have payroll. The wide range of features is fantastic, and it's great that as we grow, Square Point of Sale can accommodate our needs. Plus, the initial setup is incredibly easy, taking about five minutes, and has a lot of custom settings for further tailoring.
