I was looking for a software to take shareholders meeting the next level and Spotlight has delivered.

Pros

- Time saving, no more Excel spreadsheets to balance.

- Easy to use compared to other software I tired.

- Mapping of P&L accounts enables us to adjust the presentation based on each client needs.

- Variety of choices for columns in order to compare your P&L results. It enables us to have stratgic conversation in montly meetings.

- Automation for monthly comments so we can focus on adding value to our report.

- It would be great to have more mapping option for the balance sheet to enable us to calculate key ratio.

- Many manufacturing clients with Shopify would benefit to have an API and easily derivate common ratios in their respective industry. Have those ratios quickly for companies is a must. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spotlight reporting is great for consolidation, creating budgets & drivers easily. They also have a great onboarding process to make sure you and your company is well equipped to use the software to its fullest potential. The only downside as an accounting partner is having to pay for 20 organizations upfront as part of their business model. From the perspective of a small firm, it takes time to onboard clients, and I would like this to scale up instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We Have been searching for a solution to consolidate reporting for multiple QBO entities. This was easy to roll out and saves time for our monthly Family Office reporting. It works great for consolidating small group companies but went the group consol becomes large eg more than 5 companies and in multiple countries it really becomes difficult to use. There are some limitations with balance sheet report, with the extremely flexible options associated with the profit and loss not totally translating, but the team has been receptive when we've flagged this and noted a fix is in the works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
