**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

What I like best about SpeakUp is its truly global accessibility and intuitive multi-channel reporting. As a multinational organization, we needed a whistleblowing platform that could seamlessly cater to diverse regions and local nuances. SpeakUp delivered perfectly with its Web Portal, Mobile App, and FreePhone lines, complete with extensive local language support. The 100% anonymity features provide our employees with total confidence to report concerns safely, and the backend Case Management System streamlined our internal investigations.

Beyond the software itself, the vendor support is exceptional. A massive part of our successful global rollout was our Customer Success Manager, Supreeth. Supreeth was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout our rigorous UAT phase. He expertly guided us through complex SSO configurations, expedited translation updates, and helped us navigate regional telecom limitations. His dedication and quick turnaround times ensured our Go-Live was a complete success!

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

While SpeakUp is a highly robust platform, there are a few areas where the user experience could be refined, particularly regarding the mobile app and initial setup:

Mobile App Navigation: Currently, the mobile app lacks a "Save" or swipe-to-go-back functionality. If a user needs to AFK from mobile phone or return to a previous page to edit their information, they can risk losing their drafted progress.

App Store Availability: The mobile app is not natively searchable on alternative app stores like the Huawei AppGallery.

Initial Setup & Localization Nuances: While the platform advertises 75+ languages, the out-of-the-box translations sometimes rely on auto-translation that sounds unnatural. It required rigorous internal User Acceptance Testing  and manual corrections by our regional teams to get local dialects, phrasing, and legal entity dropdowns perfectly accurate. Additionally, configuring global toll-free phone lines required some troubleshooting with telecom routing (e.g., dealing with "00" exit codes).

**What problems is SpeakUp® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Managing compliance across a massive global footprint (spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia) previously meant dealing with language barriers, fragmented reporting channels, and regional telecom limitations. SpeakUp consolidated our whistleblowing framework into a single, unified External Window. By offering omnichannel reporting (Web, Mobile App, and Toll-Free Phone lines) with native support for over 75 languages, it has democratized access. Every employee, regardless of their location or native language, now has a frictionless way to report concerns.

2. Employees are often hesitant to report misconduct internally due to fear of exposure or retaliation. Because SpeakUp operates as an independent, third-party platform, it reinforces our corporate "Zero Retaliation" policy. The system's clever use of unique Report Codes and PINs allows our investigators to maintain a secure, two-way dialogue with reporters while guaranteeing 100% anonymity. This has significantly boosted employee trust in our compliance program.

3. Our legacy systems required manual triage, separate login credentials for regional handlers, and disjointed audit trails. Features like "AI Summarize" instantly digest complex, multi-lingual reports, cutting our triage time in half. SpeakUp hasn't just provided a reporting tool; it has given us a clean, consolidated audit trail that vastly improves our global compliance and governance posture.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

The anonymity design is excellent. SpeakUp generates a numerical username that allows reporters to log in and communicate with the case manager without revealing their identity, which lowers the barrier to speaking up and creates a good experience for the reporter. The onboarding materials were also very strong, especially the guidance on creating content about the channel and avoiding overly legalistic language like “whistleblowing,” which can discourage people from reporting. On the operational side, the business development representative and customer success manager have both been responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

It took some time to fully understand how to configure our SpeakUp channel initially. That said, most of my questions were answered in the knowledge base, and once the setup was complete, the platform was straightforward and easy to use.

**What problems is SpeakUp® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpeakUp provides a clear, safe, and credible reporting channel for sensitive issues. While we hope we never have to use it, having this channel reinforces our commitment to a respectful workplace where concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. It signals zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or abuse and shows that we take misconduct seriously. It also gives external stakeholders, such as people we interact with at other companies, a way to raise concerns. The value is hard to quantify, but the downside of not having such a channel would be significant.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

That it easy both for the users and for the admins. Special shot out to your human support. Since the very beginning with the implementation of the tool, Shivila has been extremely supportive, with constant follow ups, being always reachable and providing super quick responses to our queries (even hours before her long holiday period).

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

Not really dislike, but sometimes I missed to have more notifications as admin of the tool. As in, when a case was created, even though its not assigned to me, I would like to see that there is a case running and that someone is handling it. I only got notifications of the cases when they were directly assign to me, but not of the rest. I think it will be cooler if in the dashboard the admin can have full visibility of how much your company is using the tool, without revealing the content of the cases of course, just the numbers.

SpeakUp is solving transparency in our organization and encouraging colleagues to feel in a secure environment.

Using it in all different countries, 1 system for all Business Units. Almost all languages, choice in machine automated response or live response and translation. Audit trail.

Because it being an online platform it can miss nuance, it can make it difficult to ask more information when used anonymous. For some employees the app is not very easy to use.

SpeakuUp has very helpful customer service. They will take time to make you understand each feature to maximize the impact and keep the customer satisfied.

It's convenient that there are many ways to file a complaint, anonimously or not. This encourages people to speak up and takes away hurdles to do so efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

There are certain features about the platform that are not quite intuitive, for example the structuring of workflows, especially in an international organisation with local and central teams involved.

SpeakUp does well to be on top of regulatory changes and the impact that may have on the tool. this benefits us in so far that we do not need to consider many changes to our policies.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

I have worked with different "whistleblower tools" over the past years. Handling employee concerns is my main task and I spend several hours every day in the tool SpeakUp is by far the most userfriendly and intuitive tool I've worked with. 

It's customisable (and many of the customisations can even be done by ourselves); our whole team appreciates the flexiblity it allows us to reflect our own company process. 

The customer service is top! Very responsive and always trying to accomodate our requests. Even if a request cannot be immediately addressed, it is taken note of and depending on the need of this request also by other clients, it is then given to the development team to include in the regular tool updates. 

Another great feature of this tool is the App it offers. We have increased the communication with reporters since this feature was introduced.

The implementation of this tool was very fast and efficient.

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

The quality of the phone reports is sometimes frustrating as the people typing the recordings don't know our company "language" and therefore some terms get misspelled so that we don't recognise them.

I like the useability of the platform.  It is very user friendly and easy to understand.  I like the customization opportunities and the ongoing training and education seminars that are hosted by SpeakUp.  Implementation was very quick and seamless.   I had great support and they were able to assist me with quick setup.

There really isn't much that I disklike about SpeakUp.

Help identify in a direct way, violations of basic behavior rules, facilitating the execution of actions and learning to improve our internal performance.

Although the tool is not responsible for the evidence, many of the complaints we receive from different users lack objective evidence, which makes decision-making difficult.

The report of irregularity often requires solid evidence; it is not enough to report an irregularity. User training should be reinforced to improve the report itself.

During the test part when I was writing false whistleblowing review, i could not eras them after. I do understand why once the pogram is launched but during the test phase it could be great to be able to erase them.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

The SpeakUp system with InTouch is a great tool and we are very satisfied customers.  However, the best thing is the outstanding and personalised customer service.  No question is too silly, no concern is too small.  Reactivity and friendly advise, with acknowledgement of a continual process improvement.  Shout out to Jesse Oele for an outstanding CRM relationship

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

There are a couple of points about the online tool that don't fundamentally make sense to a new user (ID number vs Case Number, or the logistics for translations etc.).  Once sorted out or explained this is fine, but the 'amateur' user first-time experience  does not seem to be the key consideration

**What problems is SpeakUp® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpeakUp provides an excellent and trustworthy 3rd party platform for our compliance needs.  Any there are no problems because customer service is so strong.

Often problems with accessing the tool both for administrators and whistleblowers. It could be related to our companies firewalls etc but we dont have this issue with other cloud tools.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

The process was straight forward, it was easy to obtain a quote and the paperwork was also easy to complete. The process mapping and system design was completed by the SpeakUp team, which helped take the pressure of our team to do this. Implementing the system was also straight forward. I had the pleasure of speaking to Alexander Broedelet and then Nihal Bellary. The team are lovely and the system is easy to use.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

SpeakUp is easy and intuitive to navigate for both individuals reporting potential violations and persons involved in handling such reports. The platform also offers the important benefits of anonymity and confidentiality, providing a safe space for individuals to report violations. Additionally, the ability to translate correspondence into multiple languages is incredibly useful for businesses operating in international markets. The platform also allows for the attachment of files, which can be helpful in providing evidence of a violation. The Support Center offers detailed explanations of how the platform works, an FAQ section, and efficient assistance from staff members if needed. Reminder notices for not yet closed applications are also very helpful. The platform also provides useful statistics that summarize the number of reports received during specific periods.

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

One area for improvement in the platform is the sorting of cases, which could be more clear and intuitive.

As a sustainable company and employer we want to offer our employees as well as external stakeholders an easy way to raise concerns and suspicions of misconduct. We want to foster a transparant and trustworthy process where our employee and external stakeholders feel safe raising concerns. A whistleblowing reporting tool where the reporter can leave an anonymous report might sometimes be the only way for a company to detect misconduct.

**What do you like best about SpeakUp®?**

I like that the platform is quite straighforward and its user interfance is quite nice too. I also like that the platform can be easily tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
Also, I find the custoemr support to be quite good, as all of my questions have usually been answered in less than a couple of hours.

**What do you dislike about SpeakUp®?**

So far none. The only issue that I found frustrating is that - at times (although rarely) - my reply to the reporter is not properly registered. So I need to open the report once again and include my reply once again.

For us at Volvo Cars, SpeakUp provides a platform where reporters can safely and anonymously (if they wish) file their report in plenty of different languages and means (e.g., phone call)

I work as an interim freelancer (marketing/communication) and my temporary position often creates situations where I don't feel secure enough about my position in a company to voice my concerns. SpeakUp was easy to use and made me feel safe to write down issues I noticed within a team or project management. I had some small issues during set up but they were quickly resolved by customer support.

Nothing wrong with the product, I just dislike the title font and find it hard to read

I overheard a senior team member threaten another team member to give them information he was not privy to, and I used the app to make their team manager aware. Because of my short term contract I would have not felt safe to speak to the manager directly.

SpeakUp offers a unique approach to whistleblowing, one that has significantly better outcomes than other approaches. The implementation is smooth in my experience, and their customer support is outstanding due to being such a responsive team.
