The anonymity design is excellent. SpeakUp generates a numerical username that allows reporters to log in and communicate with the case manager without revealing their identity, which lowers the barrier to speaking up and creates a good experience for the reporter. The onboarding materials were also very strong, especially the guidance on creating content about the channel and avoiding overly legalistic language like “whistleblowing,” which can discourage people from reporting.
