If a client never marks a project as completed and leaves it “In Progress,” the translator gets no recognition for having successfully finished the job.

In practice, you might complete dozens or even hundreds of projects on time, yet those projects add no value to your profile, rating, or performance history simply because the client didn’t complete the final step. As a result, the rating system doesn’t always reflect a translator’s real experience, reliability, or the quality of their work. I think Smartcat should acknowledge completed work independently of client actions, or at least provide a way for translators to request project closure after a reasonable period of inactivity.
