# How do you handle text expansion issues in Smartcat for English to Hausa translations?

I like that Smartcat combines translation, project management, and AI tools in one place, with an interface that is easy to navigate and supports collaboration. It also helps keep files and communication organized, and the CAT tools help maintain consistency across many languages, including Hausa. One challenge for me is that segment lengths and text boxes do not always fit language pairs with big word-count differences, so I end up splitting or restructuring translations to fit. If you translate languages with similar expansion, how do you manage segments in Smartcat without slowing down your workflow?
