**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Not only have we found the move to Shopmonkey to be far more convenient than our previous system, our customers love it too! We have had several customer come into our office to let us know how impressed they are with the professionalism of the invoices and simplicity of the online payment feature. We love how in depth the system allows us to go for building invoices and recommendations for vehicles yet it is simple to navigate from workflow to write-ups.

We look forward to the upgraded platform here soon!

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

I'm looking forward to seeing if V2 will solve some minopr problems. The largest issue that I see with the platform is how funds get deposited into our account. There seems to be a lump sum that doesnt match daily sales. Essentially MasterCards are lumped together over several days, then Visas, then Amex. The deposits are sporatic and make bookeeping a bit difficult. Would love a better system for that.

**What problems is Shopmonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The workflow screen makes things very easy for pulling up tickets and closing them out. It's convenient for knowing who's car needs to be ready for the end of day pick ups and which ones will be staying the night.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Overall I love Shopmonkey and so do my customers. I love the amount of time savings especially with the appointment reminders for customers, making sure everyone is on the same page. DVIs work really well and customers really appreciate pictures and videos. Quoting jobs is easy and approvals come through effortlessly. Overall I'm a very happy Shopmonkey customer and will be for a long time.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

My biggest dislike is that they still don't have an Android app available, that's my biggest pain point.

**What problems is Shopmonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

V2 looks to be a good step up from where we are at now. They say the Android app is coming with V2 which is what I'm looking for.

Shopmonkey offers an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface. Even those with minimal technical skills can quickly learn how to use the platform. The layout is clean and the functions are logically organized, making the entire process from job creation to invoicing seamless.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

However, there is room for improvement in the inventory management module. I didn't feel it was that easy to reorder things through our suppliers

I'm the business owner.  The platform offers robust reporting and analytics tools. **What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Where do I start? To say that we are super impressed is an understatement! To start, we love the interactive features that allow us to communicate with our customers. This is a feature that really sets our automotive upholstery shop apart from our competition. Shopmonkey gives us the professional edge that serious customers are looking for when working on luxury vehicles.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

Shopmonkey is designed for automotive repair shops, not automotive upholstery shops in particular. Since we happen to be in a niche industry we have had to do a lot of customizing to make it work for us which hasn't been a big problem.  We are also very impressed with the customer support feature allowing us the capability to tailor features to fit our specific needs.

Managing work flow and being able to assign technicians to specific jobs for quality control.

Shopmonky is user friendly, and easy to being using. I love that I can track my inventory and collet payments from customers.

Don't see much of a downside but I would love to be able to remove fields that we don't use, and better notes sections for the individual items. (this may be a user error)

I've worked in the automotive service industry for over 20 years and have used countless shop programs. Shopmonkey has exceeded all expectations. It is user friendly, a simplified system without missing any key components. Our clients love the viritual multipoint inspection report with pictures attached, the ease of use to authorize estimates and make online payments by text or email. The customer support team was wonderful at the time of set up. I haven't needed them again since the system works great.

I can honestly say there is nothing I dislike about Shopmonkey.

ShopMonkey keeps all of my customers and their information organized to where I can literally find anything with a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

Currently the only downside with ShopMonkey(which is supposed to be fixed in the next update), is the cross messaging issue between shops to shared customers. It's very confusing for the customer and for us when we follow up and they are talking about a quote that we didn't send. ESPECIALLY, if it's a competitor. It's happened to me several times.

What doesn't it solve from a tracking standpoint?? Customer info, invoices, estimates, taxes, time tracking, etc...

Our operation and our needs are different than most shops that the ssystem is set up for, but through the support from Jessica and her knowledge and patience with us, we are getting things working smoothly and productive!  Shopmonkey has all the fine tuning capabilities built right into it, to make any shop set up workable. Thank you for building a system that actually works for our always changing and cutomizing business.

Learning the sytem was harder for us and our company due to all the different customization needed, but it is so refreshing to see it all coming together with the amazing support for Jessica Weaver (our account rep.)  We have no complaints!

It is actually giving us a system that keeps our Inventory, produces Estimates & Invoices, as well as giving the shop a todo list and work order that is easy for them to add note and comunicate throughout the build.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

The interface is customizable and managed for the way our shop chooses to organize our workflow. Having easy access to customer support is very helpful as our team learns the ins and outs of the software; the team may not always have a good software solution to solve our issues, but they are always quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

Updates to improve the software and make the platfrom a better experience overall has been promised for almost a year now. We had some issues with data migration in which another shop's data was pulled into our system and has yet to be resolved by the software engineers or data migration team. Load time can be  intermittently slow. The iOS app is sort of useless; it's unreliable when it comes to time-tracking and only allows the user to see limited info. The diagrams and labor information is way too sparse; we had to resort to a third party for accurate and comprehensive information regarding this.

Tracks inventory, houses all ROs on one platform. Serves as POS system so we can collect payment straight from the invoice. The clean UX allows for a good experience, rather than a complicated one, for our customers to schedule appointments and remit payment.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

I love how easy it is for me to manage all of my vehicles. All the work that has been completed, what needs to be done and how much it'll cost. I love the facility of integration with quickbooks, and I love the added bonus that all of our work gets reported to carfax. Making estimates is beyond a breeze because of the integration with all of my parts stores as well as seamless connection with Motor Labor guide so I seldom undersell my work and always make a profit on my jobs thanks to their pricing matrix feature. I also love that I have access to the software where ever I have access to the internet. Communicating with my customers is also super easy, as well as getting their authorizations. Customer support is also very amazing, they always help me with any issues that I may have, no matter how simple or how hard the issue is.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

I really wish that they would implement a mobile app for android. I know that they already have user support for iOS and that development is planned for android soon, but it can't get here soon enough.

**Recommendations to others considering Shopmonkey:**

The price might scare you at first, but believe me, the time you'll be saving in managing your customers will more than make up for it. Plus, there's the benefit that if you aren't making as much money as you know you should, you'll know why and begin to turn that around after using shop monkey.

**What problems is Shopmonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the extended times that I was having in creating estimates. I used to take anywhere from 1-3 hours to make an estimate and now I can create an estimate in literally minutes. I also no longer lose track of customer information or progress.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Shopmonkey is simple, yet very powerful. It has allowed us to truely stand out in our community and has taken our entire management and customer experience processes to a higher level of professionalism. Our customers do not have to worry about sacrificing the convieniences of electronic communitations and inspections for the quality of a local trusted shop, and our staff doesn't have to sacrifice "big shop" technology for a "small shop" environment. 

We were able to seamlessly integrate shopmonkey, and implement all of its features right out of the box. Considering the workload we put on every day, shopmonkey hardly skips a beat. The few times it does experience technical difficulties, we are constantly updated until the issue is resolved.

On top of all of this Shopmonkey is capable of growing with us in ways we didn't think we would need, giving us tools out of the box to grow technologically with API access for future integration.

Shopmonkey has been a Win-Win-Win

Areas for improvement are addressed in V2. built in online booking capabilities would be great.

Shopmonkey is easy for new technicians to lean. It has a great layout and w way for everyone in the shop to stay informed and communicate information on open work orders. The ease and frequency we can comminicte to our customers is better than any other platform I have used.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

The frequency that shopmonkey slows down, has errors has been a problem in our shop. IF we did not have a software program to accept payment outside of shopmonkey, there would have been times we would not of been able to release cars back to customers. Better notifications to technicians for internal notes would be a plus. The information from Motor on the class of cars we work on in our shop in next to useless, and itf its brand new, being less than 6 months old, there wont be any information on the vehicle at all.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Shopmonkey is very easy to use, I was able to find my way around the platform in a weeks time. Connecting with customers is made simple with the messaging option. Shopmonkey was the first automotive platform I have been taught to use, I did have to learn how to use our shop's previous application (Workshop) alongside Shopmonkey, and I find Shopmonkey is much easier to use, has more benefits, and has been a great experience so far. We use Shopmonkey consistently throughout the work day. Creating estimates in a timely manner is made easy with canned jobs, and saved inventory. Have had quick responses to any technical issues through customer support. I like that I can create an estimate quickly and have it sent to the customer via text and e-mail, then they are able to authorize the work they want done and decline services they are not interested in, effortlessly. The hidden feature is very usefull as well, when creating estimates and not wanting the customer to see the service on their end. I have worked with several different POS systems, and this is the best experience I have had.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

When looking up archived orders on the main screen, it would be easier for the filters to stay active when going into an invoice and back out, instead of having to change the filters each time.

Helping with time efficiency and organization in the workplace. Makes my day go by smoothly and with less issues.

Cloud base, can access remotely when needed, easy to train employees on and easy to navigate throught the sytem. Love how easy it is to get reports off of as well. Love that DVI is included in it.

Shopmonkey has one of the easiest UI I've used in any automotive repair related software.

Estimations for jobs are often inaccurate. Also lacks some more in depth functions that other softwares provide.

Coordinating workflow between technicians and customers saves time and effort for front of house operations.

**What do you like best about Shopmonkey?**

Customer comunication and presentation with SM  gives our customers a professional exppearance. Canned services make building invoices quick and easy for regular our services. Carfax service records help us make meaningful recommendations especially  for new customers.  Customer notifications and messaging are super handy for keeping every one on our team up todate.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

The intergration of the fuctions for more expensive package are not worth the extra money every month for my small operation. Partstech is free, there are a lot of options for technical information out there already.

We have been using Shopmonkey for over 3.5 years. Our customers LOVE the digital inspections and we love that it is built in. We are awaiting the release of HD 2.0 so we vcan switch over to the new platform, but all good things in time. It is not perfect but it works well for us, and their responsivness to customer input is outstanding. It is easy to use and to teach to new employees. We use it all day every day.

The payment side is lacking options. It takes the four major credit cards, but not fleet cards or digitizing fleet checks.
Motor, but that is in the works.

It has been great for us. Do your research and make sure it meets your needs. I bet it will.

**What problems is Shopmonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I researched the SMS systems to the nth degree before opening in 2020. The antiquated look of the industry leader was offputting. Being cloud-based and only a couple of years old I could see the potential, and they are reaching it. The way it presents to the customer is outstanding. The look is professional and the communications are simple.

Also, Fleetcross is worth every penny. Being able to cross-reference part numbers in the system is priceless.

I really like the full experience of using Shopmonkey. It was really easy to get the hang of it and learn how to use the tools, the dashboard layout is ideal because it shows everything there layed out in front of you to be able to see and organize as you wish instead of having to look up each customer / vehicle as you go. I love the fact you can create jobs as their own categories to be able to break up the jobs for ease to customers. Their customer service has been fantastic and have not had any issues with trying to get a hold of someone and the issues are resolved in a very timely manner. There are so many useful tools to use that makes doing multiple quotes with ease, and i LOVE the feature of the messages to customers that can come through as text messages as a majority of customer work in fields that are noisy for phone calls / work odd shift times that you can update the customer and get replies back in a great time frame. Makes using an invoicing system every day very useful and comfortable.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

When implementing labor you cannot do it as a specific amount - always have to have a flate labor pricing and adjust the hours used. For the notifications you need to click on each one to get rid of the notice bubble instead of just opening the tab and clicking out of it.

The canned services and saving the parts and labor lines into inventory benefits making quotes quicker so that you can get back to the customers faster and offer a great customer service history.

I honestly love the workflow system the best. It makes it so much easier to organize and keep up with what's going on in the shop. It was fairly easy to setup and implement into our workflow. If we ever had any questions or issues customer support is really easy to get in touch with. The ability to create your own tags and sections really allows us to personalize it to fit our needs the best. We use the system all day, everyday. Overall a super smooth integration into our shop.

I love the messaging system but I feel like it is missing a couple things. I wish when messaging customers that the service advisors name would be tagged along with messages. This allows the customer to know exactly who they're speaking with, especially when there are multiple advisor monitoring the program. I also wish there was an auto message feature that correlates with where the ticket is in workflow. This would allow the customer to be automatically updated on status. Besides that the messaging system is great.

We were able to integrate separate systems (Shop Management, CRM, inventory, merchant services, messaging) all into Shopmonkey. By canceling subscriptions to all of these separate services we're saving money and allow the shop to run smoother. Less bouncing between systems eliminates human error as well. 

The email/SMS messaging with customers has been a HUGE benefit. Allowing our customers to authorize work and make payments with a few clicks rather than calling in has really streamlined our workflow. 

Our staff are able to spend less time struggling with multiple applications on a daily basis and more facetime working with customers.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

Migration from our old shop management system was a bit painful, but honestly that's more on our old service provider than Shopmonkey. SM has provided all the assistance and training we could ask for.

Shop Monkey has helped our performance shop quite a bit since we've started using it. It took us almost no time to learn and use in our shop, and when we had questions we got quick and accurate answers via their support system.  Most of our jobs are time and materials based. With Shopmonkey we are able to keep an accurate log and charge the customer for the actual time spent with a log of where that time was spent. Our customers are happier and we are DEFINITELY happier with Shopmonkey. The Quickbooks integration works great and we are able to keep track of orders and build assemblies through Quickbooks.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

The only problem we have with Shopmonkey is that we wish the time logs could easily trasfer to the invoice. We are doing it manually which works, and is worth it since we are able to charge more accurately for the tech's time spent on the car.

It has given us the ability to keep track of our technician's times accurately so that we can charge the customer accordingly. We used to have to guess and underestimate the times for each job. There are a lot of features I like, The calendar is super easy to navigate and set up appointments for my customer. I also like the Texting aspect and the reminder appointments.  Customer Support is always there to help which is a major factor for myself.  We use it daily for our shop. It was super easy to intergrate quickbook with it too.

The thing I wish I could change would be not have it geared towars an auto shop. It would open more if we could customize it a bit more towards my business. everything lol I love the ease of sending the estimates electronically. The customer can take their time, read what the technician recommended, look at pictures, etc... We get a lot of positive feedback from customers with the ease of use as well.

I dislike this whole credit card dispute that customers can file with their credit cards and money gets taken from our account and the bank gets to decide.

I recommend you get Shopmonkey! A customer took us to small court and we won, of course, due to the wonderful master tech we have but also coz everything was outlined in shop monkey, the estimates that were sent, the authorization we received via text from the customer.
Shopmonkey will increase your sales and decrease the frustration of going over EVERYTHING over the phone. They have the estimate visually and when you call them, they're already aware.

There is a constant lag with Shopmonkey when inputting data. Some days it is worse than others, in the sense of speed. There also has been times where Shopmonkey does not update certain line items notes' or pricings'.

Having an all in one platform to create estimates, order parts, create appointments, seamless appointment reminders... the list is really quite long! This has allowed me to free up valuable time.

The one thing that I believe could use improvement would be the phone app. It's mainly geared toward techs. Not a huge deal, but as a one man shop I would love to see more abilities to write and schedule appointments from my phone in the event I'm not at the shop.

I like that you can access the same thing (example: Entering POs) from multiple locations in the software and that you can perform tasks from the "plus sign" in the top right so that you don't have to be taken away from your current task completely and lose your place.

I dislike that it is difficult to generate a "quick quote" on a vehicle without the vehicle being linked in the system by vin number.  It will not pull up labor for a vehicle unless it is linked in the system by vin number and we don't always need to put the vehicle in our system, for example, if the customer decides not to use our service then we don't want their vehicle in our system as a customer vehicle.  It would be convenient to be able to look up labor by just the year make and model of the vehicle without it being linked by vin number.

Apple Tire used to be a paper only record keeping business. We would get customers write down their basic info, which only consisted of a name, phone and year of the car. A receipt was done on paper and filed in a filing cabinet. This system was good but time very time consuming and it was very hard to remember new customers since files were stored away. Shop Monkey Changed that and made a 360 turnover on the way we do business now. Shop Monkey has allowed us to have a more personal connection with every customer. The shop monkey search bar is your own personal google customer search engine. I can have customers come in and not remember their name fully but with me a simple search of their phone number or car plate I instantly see every prior job we did. This way I discreetly also look up their name and reconnect with that customer by name as if we spoke yesterday. The dash board is also a huge help in keeping organized to know what work we have pending. What parts need to be ordered. What customer needs to be called. Shop Monkey has endless ways to keep your business organized. From the detailed reports to the canned services. I continue to learn everyday with shop monkey. It has really helped us be more connected to our customers and provide top quality service.

**What do you dislike about Shopmonkey?**

The only complaint that I have is on the statement reports. I need the Vin number to be able to print on the statement report.

**What problems is Shopmonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the bigest problems we had was being able to stay connected with our customers. Being able to reach out to them right from the Shop Monkey platform is next level.
