"Long Shopify Payments Verification and Rigid Billing Hurt My Launch"
1/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Shopify makes it relatively easy to build and manage an online store, even without advanced technical knowledge. I also appreciated the support advisor I spoke with recently — she was professional, patient and genuinely tried to escalate my case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

My biggest issue was the very long Shopify Payments setup/verification timeline. I continued paying subscription fees for months while I still could not properly operate the store as a fully functional ecommerce business.

By the time the payment setup was finally available, I had lost much of the momentum to launch the store. What made this more frustrating was that Shopify continued charging the full subscription during that period and later refused to refund or credit those charges unless I first closed the store and submitted the invoices for a non-guaranteed refund review.

I think Shopify should have a fairer policy for merchants who experience unusually long payment onboarding delays, especially when those delays materially affect their ability to launch and monetize the store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify’s Seamless Integrations Across Sales Channels"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Integration with other sales channels — Shopify can connect your store with marketplaces, social channels, payment systems, shipping, and other tools. Overall, I think Shopify is a good value, but the value would be even better if more advanced ecommerce and customization features were included without additional monthly costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

I want my storefront to look exactly the way I envision it, but theme customization can become complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify Makes Testing Prices, Discounts, and Landing Pages Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

being able to experiment is the best thing of shopify...We can change a product price, create a discount, update the landing page or try another offer without needing a developer for little things. The sales dashboard is also useful because I can quickly see if a change actually did anything. also the pricing is pretty affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

There’s probably an app for whatever you want, but managing different apps and paying for all of them can quickly become hectic. Because of that, stores can also end up feeling bloated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Powerful Analytics and a Fast, Reliable Checkout"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

First its Pretty easy to use.. I really like how much information we get after someone visits or buys. looking at sales by product, customer behaviour, region and conversion gives us a much better analytics, The storefront is fast and checkout has been reliable for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Additional costs are a little annoying because shopify itself is one cost, then you need to add apps because some essential functionality... Some basic features really should be included instead of needing another app.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, Affordable, and Flexible for Any Business"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Easy to use and affordable. It can suit any kind of business.

I don’t have any coding experience, and it didn’t require a complicated setup. I can also connect it to Claude and optimize it to fit my needs, whether that’s creating a list of my products or using it for lead tragic. Personally, I use it to keep the machines in one place, and to add the menu and the prices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Sometimes it confuses me because it won’t add certain edits or internal codes, and at times the air chat doesn’t really do everything I ask it to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify Keeps Our Order Management Organized and Efficient"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

What I like most about Shopify is how it centralizes our order management in one platform. I use it daily to monitor new orders, verify payment status, check fulfillment progress, and review return requests. Having all of this information in one place makes it much easier to keep track of customer orders without switching between multiple systems.

One feature that has improved my workflow is the order timeline. It gives me a clear history of each order—including payment, fulfillment, tracking, and customer updates—which helps me respond to customer inquiries much faster. The search and filtering tools also save time by allowing me to quickly locate specific orders, customers, or products instead of manually sorting through records.

An unexpected benefit I've discovered is how useful Shopify is for coordinating with our warehouse and vendors. Since I can easily access order details, shipping information, and fulfillment status, I can quickly identify delays, follow up on outstanding shipments, and provide customers with accurate updates. This has made our order management process more organized and efficient while reducing the time spent handling customer support requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

While Shopify is a reliable platform for managing our orders, there are a few areas that could be improved. The built-in reporting can be somewhat limited for more detailed operational analysis, so I often need to export data to Excel to create custom reports. Managing large numbers of orders can also require multiple clicks when updating or reviewing them, which can slow down repetitive tasks.

Another challenge is that some advanced features and integrations require third-party apps or higher-tier plans, which can increase costs. It would also be helpful if the search and filtering options offered more flexibility for complex order management and logistics workflows.

Overall, Shopify works well for our day-to-day operations, but improvements to reporting, bulk order management, and advanced filtering would make it even more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplicity Meets Powerful E-commerce Solutions"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I use Shopify to run my business and check orders, revenue, and details. I appreciate the simplicity of the website and how it guides me to run my business. I really like their management system from purchase through fulfillment, and how it tracks inventory without overselling. I use their online store themes and theme editors to change layouts and colors, and I like that I can have my own custom domain. Their SEO tools and customer profiles are helpful as well. It's easy to set up for beginners, even with no coding knowledge, and Shopify provides essential tools like checkout payments to operate an ecommerce business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The monthly cost of Shopify is expensive, and I have to pay a subscription even if I don't make a sale. The transaction fees are also a concern, and the payment availability features aren't available in some countries. As my business grows, it becomes more expensive with higher plans and paid apps. "Effortless Online Store Setup with Powerful Features"
4.5/5

I really appreciate how easy it is to set up and manage an online store with Shopify, even for someone who isn't very technical. The clean interface and the dashboard make it simple to manage products, customers, payments, and inventory all from one place. I like the variety of themes and customization options available because they allow for additional functionality based on business needs. The product and inventory management features are valuable, making it easy to manage the store without much technical effort. The setup was straightforward, allowing me to get the store ready without much technical knowledge. Shopify has supported our growth by making it easy to manage products and orders as the business scales. The inventory management and app integration help to scale without adding much complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ease of Use with SEO Details That Could Be Improved"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I like that Shopify is intuitive to use, easy to set up, and allows for batch creation of items, which is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The issue of creating parameters like sitemaps and robots.txt files is complicated in Shopify, making it difficult to establish SEO hierarchies. I wish the SEO tool were easier to use from the control panel, instead of having to modify the Liquid Theme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
