"Shindig Delivers a Truly Interactive, Event-Like Virtual Experience"
What do you like best about Shindig?

The best thing about this Shindig platform is that it provides an effective virtual event experience, unlike other traditional webinar tools. This platform replicates the feel of attending an actual event, and also in understanding all the interactive features, which can take some time, and seating formats, speaker, and audience level kind of interactions. This platform is specifically effective for large-scale sessions to retain higher-level engagements among the attendees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

This platform hassle is, it has a bit of a complex learning curve, specifically for the first time users and hosts. Setting up the events and understanding all their interactive features can take a bit of time. Also, hen compares eith the other tools, this platform feels a bit heavy even to run a basic level of webinars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"High-Engagement Platform for Professional Collaborations"
What do you like best about Shindig?

I use Shindig as a freelance finance professional to host interactive virtual sessions, which enhance how I deliver advisory, training, and collaborate on financial work. I appreciate how Shindig makes remote interactions feel more effective and closer to an in-person experience. It helps make interactions more natural and engaging, particularly when explaining complex concepts like financial models and valuations. Transitioning to Shindig from more traditional platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams provided me with a more interactive and engaging environment that fits my needs for active participation. The ease of getting started with the platform, at least from a technical standpoint, made accessing the main features straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

Its limited integration with finance tools; as someone who relies on tools like Excel and financial modeling platforms, deeper integration or smoother screen-sharing optimization for spreadsheets would significantly improve usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shindig?

What I like best about Shindig is its interactive virtual experience—it allows real-time networking and private video chats, making events feel more like in-person gatherings. It’s also easy to use since it runs directly in the browser, with no installation needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

What I dislike about Shindig is that it can feel slightly overwhelming for new users due to the number of features available. The interface sometimes takes time to get used to, and performance may lag a bit during large events or with slower internet connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Engagement-Driven Virtual Events, Minor Navigation Hiccups"
What do you like best about Shindig?

I really appreciate how Shindig brings human interaction back to virtual events. Unlike typical webinar tools, it allows attendees to network, join small group conversations, and chat face-to-face, just like at an in-person event. The engagement tools are intuitive, not clunky, which means our attendees actually participate instead of just tuning out. I also like how smooth and reliable the platform is, even with larger audiences, as we've run multiple virtual events without major technical glitches or complicated setup headaches. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, and the platform is intuitive enough that our event team could figure out most features just by exploring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

A few of our less tech-savvy attendees mentioned the networking "room" navigation was slightly confusing at first — it takes a minute to figure out how to move between groups. The biggest challenge with the room navigation is that it’s not immediately obvious to first-time users how to move between networking rooms, main sessions, and small groups. A lot of our attendees weren’t sure whether they were in the main event, a breakout room, or a networking area — the labels and visual cues felt subtle. Some people hesitated to jump between rooms because they were worried they’d get lost or wouldn’t be able to find their way back to the main session. The flow just isn’t as straightforward as it could be for someone who’s only using it for the first time. As for improvements: Clearer, more visible buttons or tabs for switching between rooms. A simple onboarding tooltip or quick tour when attendees first join. A persistent “lobby” or “main stage” button that’s always visible. Better visual distinction between main sessions, breakouts, and networking zones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shindig Makes Online Events More Interactive and Natural"
What do you like best about Shindig?

What I like most about Shindig is how it makes online events feel more interactive and engaging. The platform is easy to navigate, and it helps create a more natural experience for participants than you typically get with standard virtual meeting tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

One area Shindig could improve is that some of its more advanced features take a bit of time to figure out at first. Overall, the platform works well, but a simpler setup for certain event controls would make it even easier and more straightforward to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dynamic and Engaging Virtual Event Platform"
What do you like best about Shindig?

I use Shindig for hosting large virtual events like webinars, workshops, and online meetups. It’s great for bringing together a big group of people in an interactive and lively way — whether it’s presentations, panel discussions, or breakout conversations. I really appreciate how Shindig handles large audiences while still keeping things interactive. Features like live Q&A, audience participation, and breakout conversations stand out and help events feel more dynamic and organized. Live Q&A lets the audience feel heard, and audience participation tools encourage real-time engagement, keeping energy levels high. Breakout conversations help bring structure and energy to large events by allowing participants to move into smaller groups, making it easier for people to speak up, ask questions, and connect with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

One area that could be improved is the learning curve for first-time users. With so many features available, it can feel a bit overwhelming at the beginning, especially for attendees who aren’t very tech-savvy. Sometimes performance can also dip slightly during very large events with lots of simultaneous interactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The production tools, like green rooms for pre-screening speakers, are invaluable for preventing mishaps. Additionally, the engagement features are fantastic, with mobile apps ensuring seamless access alongside recording and analytics for post-events. I also find the initial setup of Shindig quite straightforward for our team. I appreciate its unique ability to deliver genuine networking in virtual events, making it a standout. I also like that Shindig works best when integrated with a few key tools for handling registration, payments, and streaming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shindig?

Some aspects of Shindig could be improved, like customization limits, technical hurdles, and issues with registration and scaling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
