  ### 1. Big Promises, Disappointing Product

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

The dispatch board and waiting list are useful features- if they work

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

The customer service is non-existent or laughable.  Users look for solutions to common problems and malfunctions within the software in the Facebook user group.  If they post anything critical of the software, they're removed and BLOCKED from the group without warning.  This has caused a splinter group called "Service Autopilot Misfits" to pop up on Facebook of people who have been blocked from the user group. It currently has over 1000 members in that private group.   The setup is very complex in order to setup clients and jobs or you can pay them to do it for you, and from what I've seen in the groups, it's not a pleasant experience.  Automations, like service reminders, are cumbersome and complex to configure and require some understanding of HTML code in order to format correctly.  Automations are typically outsourced to another vendor who charges both a setup fee and a monthly maintenance fee.  The price continues to escalate, and the interface is clunky and doesn't display well on most devices.

none. I would not recommend this product.

The ease of use to schedule, dispatch and bill for services as well as the automation's feature to automate tasks and events both internally and externally.

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

Filtering for data and getting accurate data in reports or lookups is sometimes difficult

An all-in-one CRM from marketing to sales to production to accounting and re-marketing cycle of clients.

Service autopilot is the best way to organize and routes your clients for a lawn care business

Service Autopilot is pricey.  It needs to be a bit cheaper

I have learned how to optimize my crew's routings in order to be more efficient

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

It was always really understandable what you needed to do to get what you want from the platform. No issues figuring out how to perform basic functions and it has even more robust features to build on.

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

Only by comparison, there are other systems that offer even more options for around the same price. This is a good system though.

Keeping track of multiple client contracts for landscaping has been much easier.

Work culture is amazing. Everyone is great and the job is flexible at times. Love unlimited PTO.

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

Cold calling. Some of the people you talk to are idiots

**What problems is Service Autopilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a field management software. It's built to help field industries automate time consuming tasks like invoices, routing, scheduling and marketing. It's super helpful but people don't want to spend the money for it.

I can upsell clients year-round not just for lawn care

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

This is a full management software for a service business. No need for multiple integrations with other softwares

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

My dislikes are the fact that it does not integrate with other software. In an attempt to be a one stop solution there are parts of the software that do not function as well as they could and it would be nice to link to other software to perform certain CRM functions.

Be prepared for a learning curve and limited help from the help desk

We have one central source for all of our client data.

  ### 8. Overly Complicated, hard to use product. Lots of opportunity, wasted.

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

Extremely flexible and can work for large scale companies. 

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

The system is entirely over complicated.  Even simple things such as - send a past due notice to customers - requires hours and hours of set-up and customization of menus/features/tabs that make no sense.  Or you can pay one of their advisors several grand to make the email.  This is just one feature that nearly every other platform in the space, does for free but on SA - you need to spend several hours researching, building and/or hiring someone outside to do it.  Then, in one year, your email is outdated and you have to start over.  Their proposal, customer portal and invoicing system.. not of it is mobile optimized - customer hate this.  Tons of bugs and they try to do everything which has cause them to be great at nothing. 

**Recommendations to others considering Service Autopilot:**

Whether you are just starting out or especially if you have an existing business - test other platforms first.  Think of how your customers will interact with it.  Go with a mobile-optimized platform and you'll convert more estimates and be much happier.  SA is too buggy, too complicated and in the end, you need to customize everything, all the time.

Scheduling and billing for our customer base.  You think you can do it but you really need to either customize the system so much that in a year or two when you need to change something, you have to change EVERYTHING.. or you need to train someone for several weeks to do something as simple as set up a job on a technicians calendar.

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

Great for scheduling maintenance services.  If you have used Qxpress, it is just as nuanced, but better.  Reoccuring jobs, marketing, etc.  I would highly recommend it for any lawn/landscape maintenance provider.  After using this cloud based software, I would never go back to desktop.
Service Autopilot integrates seamlessly with Quickbooks.  
Anytime we have had an issue, help has been fast and efficient.  Yes, you do get a low level person when calling in sometimes, but they will escalate it quickly if it is obvious that needs done.    

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

We have had a few hiccups with invoice customization, etc.  Just minor details.  Overall, I can't really think of one major gripe. 

**Recommendations to others considering Service Autopilot:**

With software, fit is a big key.  If you are a recurring service provider, make sure to check this out. 

**What problems is Service Autopilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Service Autopilot schedules our jobs stores customer data, routes, maps, invoices, markets, and controls every single function of our landscape maintenance company (2 million in annual sales, about 1,000 active customers.)

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

The efficiency and integration of data. We are able to create an account for a new lead, convert them to a client, add their payment information, create and send an estimate, convert that estimate into a job which is dispatched on the scheduled day, then mark that job completed from the field, charge their account from the field, and email a receipt all with a few clicks and with ZERO double entry!

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

Would like more detailed email functions for talking back and forth with customers and being able to track that within SA. Outgoing emails work great, but the response from customer does not integrate back into SA but rather appear in the inbox of the email address. 
Estimate templates that were a bit more customizable would be nice (something along the lines of your "drag and drop" website builders like weebly or wix).
We would like to be able to add a client's new credit card number to their account from the mobile app.

**Recommendations to others considering Service Autopilot:**

Subscribe NOW and do not just dip your toe in the water, jump in head first and start utilizing the fantastic business management capabilities of Service Autopilot!

**What problems is Service Autopilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to streamline, improve and drastically increase profitability by using Service Autopilot to manage all of our daily operations, including all of our lead, client, scheduling, customer service, estimating, time sheet tracking and billing. We also use the two-way sync with quickbooks desktop premier to make quick work of accounting and report preparation.

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

Service Autopilot saves us a lot of time when processing snow events. We used to manually calculate each job within a snow event but this system is awesome at tracking employee time spent at each job, adding products used at each event and adding both together to give us totals. Our employees enjoy the app and say its easy to use. 

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

We seem to have quite a few software 'glitches'. We finish processing an event only to come back at the end of the month, for billing, to find that our numbers have been changed. Totals have changed due to rounding time,  rounding service total amounts, and losing or gaining product amounts. This is very frustrating when we are tempting to tie out and complete billing. Every month we always have an issue with tying invoices (what we send out) and our dispatch boards (where we process the work completed). We've contacted customer service about these issues many times and we have yet to get a real fix. Service Autopilot's audit trail is abysmal. It's doesn't track or audit changes you would like it to and it has an audit trail for changes that never occurred.  

**Recommendations to others considering Service Autopilot:**

Be wary about just straight trusting the software calculation, especially if you bill on a monthly basis. It's easy to miss mistakes (or in our case complete changes) made since you've last looked at the event.  The reports available are limited so be prepared to do manual work to create a report if it doesn't have what you need. In our case that is a sales tax report.

We use Service Autopilot to process snow removal work. The software has greatly reduced the time we spend processing each snow event.

Help line. They are always there to help when needed and are fantastic.

Training Other employees how to use it is a little time-consuming but that would happen with any program

Of you own your own company, service autopilot is the program to use!

Whenever my husband has a question for our 2 businesses, they are extremely helpful and answer our questions with ease. We love that we can call anytime and it’s free help!

This is an awesome software for companies doing any kind of maintenance services.  There is lots of flexibility in the way scheduling and routing can be accomplished.

We do so many different services for a large number of clients.  Keeping everything scheduled properly and with the correct notes to help the crews get the jobs done right is important.  Service Autopilot is the best solution we have found for getting this done.  Since we switched, we now schedule and invoice much more quickly than with our previous software.

**What do you like best about Service Autopilot?**

Routing/dispatching made easy, GPS tracking for employees, easy to export payroll hours, excellent support team that keeps us updated on new features and trains us on the new functionality.

**What do you dislike about Service Autopilot?**

Hiccups with refunding clients (very weird workarounds), data disappearing randomly at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Service Autopilot:**

They have a great support team and it's easy to learn (they have training videos!) and if you have questions a live trainer can help you.

**What problems is Service Autopilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Routing was a massive pain without this software (had to do it in excel! Yuck!). Keeping track of our employees is a lot easier too.
