# How do you handle Samsara camera calibration issues like false smoking or drowsy alerts?

Samsara has been helpful as “eyes and ears” on the road, especially for video retrieval, coaching, and supporting police reports with a clearer picture of incidents. It’s also reduced the need for constant ride alongs and helped prevent false auto liability claims. The main challenge I’ve seen is calibration, where normal actions (like wiping a mouth or wearing a hat low) can trigger smoking, obstruction, or drowsy detections. Have you found ways to reduce these false alerts while still getting value from coaching?
