"Seamless Omnichannel Experience with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

I really like the ease of UI and UX, which makes it simple to use and implement. The support from the Salesforce team as a partner in growing the business is invaluable. The seamless integration with other Salesforce clouds, like Salesforce Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Data Cloud, is a huge plus for me. I also appreciate the new Contentful integrations for content management, which have been really helpful. The ability to manage products, pricing, and order management effectively is the best from both customer and implementation perspectives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

The implementation time for Salesforce B2C Commerce was a bit lengthy due to some necessary customizations. It's not really a list of complaints, but if the platform offered more low-code or no-code solutions, it would help expedite the process. However, with the AI and agent force integrations, things have become faster, so I don't have much else to suggest for improvement right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scalable, Flexible Platform with Powerful Merchandising for Personalized Commerce"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce is its ability to combine scalability, flexibility, and powerful merchandising tools in one platform. It allows businesses to manage products, pricing, promotions, personalization, and customer experiences efficiently, while also providing strong customization and integration capabilities. I especially like that it enables both business and technical teams to work effectively, helping brands deliver seamless and personalized shopping experiences at scale. What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce is that it can be complex to set up and customize, especially for teams that are new to the platform. Some advanced features and integrations may require significant development effort and technical expertise, and the overall cost can be high compared with simpler e-commerce platforms. I also find that managing customizations and platform updates can require careful planning to avoid maintenance challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances B2C Strategies with Effortless Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

I like how Salesforce B2C Commerce helps me augment and organize my data, customers, and products. The ability to categorize and manage different storefronts and price lists on a single platform is really powerful. I find it amazing how everything is managed efficiently, which makes it a great tool for driving business in the B2C market. I also appreciate that the initial setup was quite easy, thanks to how Salesforce manages the different configurations. Overall, it's been a valuable tool for enhancing my e-commerce capabilities. What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

One thing that could be improved with Salesforce B2C Commerce is the integration with our core platform. Currently, Salesforce B2C Commerce operates in a different instance, and I think it would be better if it could be integrated into our core platform. This way, it would leverage my existing skill set, which would be more convenient because the separate instance feels like an altogether different thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A strong commerce platform when you already work in the Salesforce ecosystem"
4/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

I like how well it fits into the broader Salesforce ecosystem. For an admin, it is useful to have customer and commerce data connected instead of managing everything in separate tools. The platform is flexible, and once the setup is in place, it gives teams a solid foundation for managing storefront experiences and supporting changes as the business grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

The learning curve can be steep, especially for admins who are new to the commerce side of Salesforce. Some configuration and troubleshooting tasks require more technical knowledge than you might expect, and the documentation can feel spread across different places. It is powerful, but it is not always quick or simple to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-Scale Headless Commerce with Fast APIs and Flexible Frontends"
4/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC) combines enterprise-grade scale with modern architectural flexibility, especially for headless deployments and broader ecosystem connectivity.

With decoupled frontends (headless and composable), Commerce API (SCAPI) offers fast, RESTful endpoints that expose core commerce services—cart, checkout, product search, and account management—so developers can power custom frontends using Next.js, React, mobile apps, or smart kiosks. The Progressive Web App (PWA) Kit and Managed Runtime reduce the need for traditional infrastructure setup by providing an opinionated, React-based storefront along with native serverless hosting designed for sub-second page loads. This separation of concerns also helps marketers use modern digital experience platforms (DXPs) or headless CMS tools (like Contentful or Strapi) without disrupting core commerce transactional logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

While Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC) performs well at enterprise scale, its legacy roots and underlying architecture can create noticeable friction for both developers and operations.

From a developer experience and tooling perspective, there is a fair amount of proprietary legacy overhead. Even with the more modern Composable Storefront (PWA Kit) direction, much of SFCC’s core still reflects the older Demandware architecture, including ISML templates, controller pipelines, and custom script runtimes. As a result, debugging and maintaining legacy cartridges often requires specialized platform knowledge, rather than the standard web engineering skills many teams expect.

Local development and mocking are also challenging. You can’t run the full B2C Commerce backend locally, so developers end up relying on cloud sandbox environments with strict quotas. Between deployments and indexing delays, the edit-refresh-test loop becomes significantly slower than what you typically get with modern Node-based or cloud-native setups. "Seamless Salesforce Integration with Flexible, Scalable Commerce"
4/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Seamless integration with Salesforce ecosystem (CRM, marketing, service) providing unified customer data. Flexible storefront architecture allows rapid customization and deployment. Built-in commerce features (catalog management, pricing, promotions) reduce time-to-market. Strong security and compliance standards for handling payment and customer data. Good performance and scalability for high-traffic operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Implementation and customization require specialized developer skills, increasing time and cost. Steep learning curve for SFCC-specific architecture and best practices. Licensing and hosting costs can be significant. Integration with external systems sometimes requires custom coding. Performance optimization and troubleshooting can be complex, requiring dedicated expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Headless Architecture with Strong Native Salesforce Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Architecture & flexibility

The headless design lets you decouple the storefront from the backend, so you can iterate on the UI independently. Its API-first approach also supports omnichannel use cases across web, mobile, and third-party integrations.

Salesforce integration

There’s a native connection to core Salesforce, including CRM, Service Cloud, and Commerce Cloud data flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Cost & complexity

Higher total cost of ownership than lightweight alternatives (Shopify, custom headless stacks). It also comes with Salesforce licensing overhead, even for smaller use cases, and the implementation plus customization costs can be steep.

Learning curve

It’s not very intuitive for non-developers, so onboarding can be challenging for commerce teams. It also requires SFCC-specific skills (scripting, and working around OOB limitations often means writing custom code). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Personalized, Scalable Commerce with Seamless Salesforce Ecosystem Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I like most about Salesforce B2C Commerce is how it enables personalized, seamless customer experiences across digital channels while still offering a scalable, reliable commerce platform. It also integrates well with the broader Salesforce ecosystem, which makes it easier to connect customer, sales, marketing, and service data in one place. I appreciate the powerful merchandising tools, AI-driven recommendations, and flexible customization options, along with the cloud-based architecture that supports faster innovation and reduces ongoing maintenance. Overall, it helps businesses strengthen customer engagement, streamline operations, and accelerate digital commerce growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

Salesforce B2C Commerce is a powerful platform, but it can come with a steep learning curve for new users and developers. As you start customizing the solution or building integrations, the work can quickly become complex and may require specialized expertise, which can drive up both implementation and ongoing maintenance costs. Licensing and total cost of ownership can also be substantial, especially for smaller organizations. On the day-to-day side, some administrative tasks and reporting features could be more intuitive, and deploying changes across environments often requires careful planning and coordination. Even with these challenges, for large-scale commerce implementations the platform’s strengths frequently outweigh the drawbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scalable, Personalized Commerce with Seamless Salesforce Ecosystem Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce is its ability to deliver highly scalable, personalized digital commerce experiences while keeping the storefront, customer data, merchandising, promotions, and order journey closely connected. Its strong integration capabilities with the broader Salesforce ecosystem make it particularly valuable for organizations that want to combine commerce with CRM, marketing, service, and AI-driven personalization. I also like the flexibility for managing complex catalogs, pricing, promotions, and high-volume traffic without having to build the entire commerce platform from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

The main drawback is that Salesforce B2C Commerce can be complex to customize and requires specialized platform expertise, particularly for deeper storefront, integration, and performance requirements. Some implementations can also become costly as the solution grows, especially when multiple Salesforce products and third-party integrations are involved. I would also like to see a more streamlined development and deployment experience and greater flexibility for developers compared with modern headless commerce platforms. "A Scalable, Flexible Commerce Foundation with Strong Salesforce Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I like most about Salesforce B2C Commerce is that it can serve as a strong foundation for complex, high-volume e-commerce ecosystems, while still connecting commerce with the broader Salesforce platform.

Having worked on Salesforce Order Management as a product and across complex e-commerce integration ecosystems, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is to connect storefronts with inventory, payments, fulfillment, customer service, ERP, logistics, and downstream order processes. What I appreciate about B2C Commerce is that it gives architects a solid commerce foundation while allowing those surrounding capabilities to be integrated rather than forcing everything into one platform.

I particularly like the ability to design the commerce journey across catalog → pricing/promotions → cart → checkout → order → fulfillment → post-purchase service and then connect that journey with Salesforce capabilities such as Service, Marketing, Data 360, and OMS.

What stands out to me personally is the architectural flexibility. In the e-commerce implementations I’ve worked on, there is rarely a single system that owns the entire customer journey. B2C Commerce fits well into that reality—you can use it where it provides the most value while integrating it with the rest of the enterprise ecosystem.

For me, that combination of scalable commerce capabilities, extensibility, and integration with the broader Salesforce ecosystem is what makes B2C Commerce particularly compelling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I find most challenging about B2C Commerce is that the platform can become quite complex once you move beyond a standard commerce implementation. In the e-commerce ecosystems I’ve worked with, the storefront is only one piece of the puzzle—the real complexity comes from integrating Commerce with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, inventory, tax, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service platforms.
