&lt;p&gt;Process variants would be my starting point because they show where the real workflow diverges from the process everyone thinks is happening. From there, I’d use wait-time and root-cause analysis to understand which deviations actually create meaningful delays. A bottleneck is much more actionable when you can trace it back to a specific variant, system, team, or approval step.&lt;/p&gt;
