Also, event tracking is accurate and scalable ... Google Analytics is not scalable for this, and other solutions, such as Mixpanel, are too expensive and less useful. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** I dislike the sharp jump in price tiers. While I was still in the mode of testing for a few months, we kept breaching the free trial limit, and were forced to pay a steep price jump in order to continue our testing. Otherwise the data was locked. **Recommendations to others considering Rokt mParticle:** Easy to start. Easy to implement tracking code. Scalable. The funnel visualisation is clear and a real winner when it comes to communicating funnels and optimisation efforts to stakeholders. As always with these platforms outcomes largely depend on the data you put in it, so a degree of pipeline engineering is required. Having said that, the GA connector works well and Indicative made short work when they had to update it to consider multiple trackers. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** The dashboard functionality could have more interactive elements, in particular the ability to interact with the funnel viz. Their customer service is also very good and responds immediately. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** the events can take a while to load somtimes. one other issue is how they are grouped together. **Recommendations to others considering Rokt mParticle:** its easy to install and use , very good customer support aswell, which makes it worth using. i have had several issues with the past vendors we used where we had to go back and forth on a call, but with indicative its been easier to track down issues and customer support is always available to debug and fix any issues we come across, technical and otherwise. plus its fairly inexpensive as compared to other analytic tools making it the best option in market out there. i would strongly recommend this product and can almost guaranteee it will meet all expectations with respect to product and business goals. Also, they are available all the time to help with any support or debug issues. we just had to have 2 calls with them and within a week we were good to go. we did our market research with some renown analytics vendors but this one definitely stood out. **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** we are able to track several mobile events and data associated with it. it helps us be more productive with respect to our data analysis and usage. ### 8. The data set configuration is on the customer side (which makes sense) but the Indicative team is there to help along the way with tips and suggestions on what structure and fields would make the most sense. Then Indicative takes care of ingesting the data and synching it. Once data is in Indicative the querying system for displaying information, filtering and slicing is very simple and human-readable. People without programming skills will feel comfortable using it **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** Some features we think useful have not been incorporated yet, but we know are in the pipeline. For instance some of the graphs and visuals generated after querying are static, requiring the user to modify the query if there is something else he wants to see or deep dive in a specific detail. **Recommendations to others considering Rokt mParticle:** Although Indicative will help you, I strongly suggest to get your data in shape: clean it, transform it, and get it readi to fulfill the use case you will be working on **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Marketing nowadays is quite complex with many touchpoints both online and offline, making it hard to build a customer journey, analyze cause-effect of actions and find the next best action. Indicative and specially it's multipath funnel visualization helps commercial teams identify what paths are working better and what actions seem to have a larger positive impact. Its ease of use can help a broader part of the organization perform the analysis so it's not only IT or tech guys doing that analysis but the actual marketing team that will then take actions based on what they see. Besides, analyzing information directly in big query or even using data studio is not optimal when dealing with non-linear interactions and multiple paths. I liked the way we can create dashboards to slice and dice our key business metrics. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** I think it can be faster. Even for someone non-technical at all, their support team has multiple account managers that specialize in helping you understand the data and get your account set up so everything is easy to use without needing the support of their team to make every little change. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** There's really not much to dislike, the only thing I could possibly say would be on our end, the time it takes to properly set up the event names but that has nothing to do with the Indicative system **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We switched from Google Analytics which was not giving us the in-depth reporting that we needed. We are now able to see specific events and clicks and not just a general page-view overview. The filters and group by's are useful and intuitive to use. The properties explorer is neat and very detailed. Having all the user properties and events on tabs is useful to be able to see what we have. Seeing the annotations is helpful as well. Overall, I like that Indicative has everything in one place. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** Their dashboards aren't easy to make and each panel is not very customizable, so that means the dashboard doesn't quite fit the job. The events that are listed on the right side are not able to be organized. We have a lot of events, but they are just listed in alphabetical order, containing customer events and in-app user events. The graphic can use more customizability as well, so that we can see exactly what we want. I would also like to be able to do certain calculations for custom views. For example, Indicative allows us to see the total count of event and the total number of users, but would not we able to give direct insight into the total count per user. They only have a limited amount of types of visualizations. The ability to have labels for values appear without hovering over the data point would also be appreciated. Although Indicative has things sorted in buckets and all things in those places, it lacks infrastructure to organize large amounts of types of data and events. **Recommendations to others considering Rokt mParticle:** I would contact them to see if they are the right fit for you, but for our company, it doesn't seem like the best fit. **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Segmenting users based on specific traits and seeing the funnel of customers/users. Indicative is not as mature as other product analytics platforms our there (Amplitude, Mixpanel...) but if you're on a budget I would highly recommend it. Also Indicative gives you a lot of flexibility on the different sources of data you can use like Snowplow and even directly from your Databases (and the obvious ones like javascript and mobile SDKs). Finally Indicative also provides a lot of flexibility in how you want to manage your events and properties once they are in the platform (you can even set an event property as a user property retroactively) . **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** Snowplow integration can be improved, should be more flexible to better adapt to different schemas we create in Snowplow. The output of grouping a funnel by a dimension is not visually easy to understand. Indicative differentiator factor is not clear to me yet, looks like other product analytics platform are moving toward Machine Learning and Predictive analytics (correlations finder, anomaly detection etc...) When viewing a graph, pay attention to length of time when analyzing trends. Indicative makes it really easy to alter the timeline and zoom in / zoom out to gain more granular or more holistic data points. **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We mostly use Indicative at work for client-side analytics -- tracking customer events on our mobile and web applications. We track certain events for people who browse our app, click around, view certain products, click further down the conversion funnel, make purchases, etc. and track the relationship between those events. The main benefit I have realized is to be able to visualize the trends of customers, where they drop off in the conversion funnel, and conversion rates at each step. It's rare you come across a SaaS platform that doesn't just want to sell you a product and forget about you but takes a vested interest in your success. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** Indicative has a unique data model that takes a little while to get used to. So it takes a little while to get up to speed but once you get it, everything is fine. Changing data doesn't apply retroactively so when we add new data attributes, it's only point-forward and we don't have a way to retroactively patch the data into the platform. **Recommendations to others considering Rokt mParticle:** Take the time to plan out your data model so that implementation is easy from the get go. **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned above, this allows us to connect our web data with our back-end customer data. We are putting efforts to help the whole company self-serving its product data. I like the execution speed of the user queries, even with high volume of data. I like that event categorisation is easy to achieve and the interface helps selecting the right event/attribute pairs. I like the possibility to create custom and joint events and that it is an accessible feature. I like the functionality to set a completion time on a funnel report and the recently introduced "funnel over time" feature. I like the new beta "Approximate funnels", we are using for many user cases. **What do you dislike about Rokt mParticle?** At the moment, we suffer from some limitations: - we do not have the ability to join events in a funnel based on an attribute value and not on user_ids. it would be helpful to have the ability to filter subsequent events in a funnel based on different identifiers inside the event's attributes - We do not have the ability to create a custom condition based only on one specific value of an attribute and valid across pieces of the funnel. - Dashboard layout edit mode is erratic and does not help placing widgets freely with extending the canvas. - We cannot insert text boxes or custom commentary on the dashboard - In a funnel report, "saying user who did not perform an event" is not always obvious and in some advance cases it is impossible **What problems is Rokt mParticle solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem we try to solve is data accessibility and data trust. We want to enable every part of our organisation to have access to user data and generate logical reports based on their hypothesis. This in turns translates on a lower workload on our team of analysts, which now have only the functionality of checking data validity and increase the trust on our data. Indicative is a valid tool for answering to quick question and, to some extent, it even enables non data savvy user to deep dive into the data. Yet the analyst approach is more critical and we know that some cases needs to be taken out of the platform for analysis.
