"Transparent, Flexible, and Feature-Rich Asset Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

What I like most about RefTab is its transparency and flexibility. It provides a clear overview of assets, requests, and inventory status, making it easy to track and manage equipment. I also appreciate the wide range of features and customization options that allow us to adapt the system to our specific needs. The user interface is intuitive, and the platform helps improve accountability and efficiency across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

The new interface looks modern, but some changes have added extra navigation steps. Separating Asset Information and Details into different tabs can make asset administration a bit slower, as users need to switch between sections to view related information. A more consolidated view would improve efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Centralized Asset Tracking with Strong Reporting and Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

What I like most about Reftab is how simple and easy it is to use. It gives me a centralized place to track hardware, software licenses, IT assets, and employee assignments without having to rely on spreadsheets. The interface is intuitive, the reporting is strong, and the barcode/QR code asset tracking is straightforward. I also appreciate the integrations with tools such as Microsoft 365, Okta, Jamf, and Intune, which help keep asset management efficient and scalable as needs grow. On top of that, it streamlines employee onboarding and offboarding by keeping asset assignments and recoveries organized and easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

One area where Reftab could improve is in advanced reporting and analytics. While it offers solid asset tracking and standard reporting, organizations with more complex IT asset management needs may want more sophisticated dashboards, deeper analytics, and additional custom reporting options. In addition, some users may find that certain inventory management features and asset lifecycle workflows feel less robust than what larger enterprise platforms provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you, Vamsinath. It's great to hear Reftab is now your central place for hardware, licenses, and employee assignments, and that the Microsoft 365, Okta, Jamf, and Intune integrations keep it running smoothly. For deeper analytics and custom dashboards, our Power BI connector lets you build directly on your Reftab data, and our team is happy to help you set it up.

"Reftab Makes Global Trip Inventory Tracking Simple and Organized"
4/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

What I like best about Reftab is how easy it makes it to track and manage our inventory for global outreach trips. It helps us stay organized and know exactly what equipment and supplies we have available and where they are going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

One thing I dislike about Reftab is that some features require additional costs when I feel they should be included in the standard plan. Some of the add-ons also feel expensive for the functionality they provide, which can make it difficult to justify the additional cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you, Aubrey. We're glad Reftab keeps your global outreach inventory organized when several trips run at once, and that serial numbers, maintenance records, and asset history are paying off at year-end. If you would like to speak with a specialist about your setup and how to make the most of the features included in your plan, feel free to reach out to help@reftab.com. You might also find our new ROI calculator useful for budget discussions. I've linked it below.

"Easy Setup, Great Support, and Cost Savings on QR Codes and Tags"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

Very easy to setup and customise. The lack of requiring to purchase additional QR codes or asset tags saves a lot of money. It is easy to browse and search, the App makes it quick to pull up a device's details. Support is excellent. Education pricing is very generous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

Switching between sub locations can be a little time consuming when you're learning how to use it and the app could be a little more powerful. My biggest issue is managing photos of equipment. It is easy to upload a photo but more difficult to manage the stock of photos available once uploaded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thanks, Dan. We're glad printing your own QR codes keeps costs down and that our education pricing and support have worked well for your team. We hear you on managing uploaded photos and switching between sub-locations, and we've shared both with our product team. To get more out of the app, our mobile guide (linked below) walks through bulk scanning and quick edits.

"Reftab: User-Friendly, Fast Updates, and Phenomenal Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

The Reftab system is extremely user friendly. Very easy to navigate, and easy to follow the interface. It's also very quick to update if you are taking a photo of an asset, it will upload very quickly. For the price, you can't go wrong with this system, and the support you get is phenomenal. Truly very happy!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

So far, I haven’t had any issues at all with Reftab. Once I got past the initial learning curve and understood how the product works, it became very user-friendly. And whenever I have questions, the built-in AI helps guide me through what to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you, Dave! We're happy Reftab has tightened up inventory across your campus and that our support team has been there when you needed it. When you're ready to automate more of your routine updates, our workflows reference is a good next step. I've linked an overview below if you'd like to learn more.

"Clear and Easy Device Tracking with Great MDM Integration and Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

Reftab has been great at allowing us to tag all the devices we utilize and it helps us keep track of them. Its interface is clear and simple to navigate, allowing us to group devices by type and see what is available easily. It also allows us to integrate well with our MDM to track devices with users.

It's very reasonably priced and their support has always been timely and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

While adding assets is easy, I would like to be able to print asset tags in bulk easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thanks, James. We're glad Reftab makes it easy to see who has which device across your users, and that the MDM integration and our support team have been helpful. Good news on tags: you can print them in bulk today. Select multiple assets and use Print Asset Tags, or export to Zebra Designer or Avery for larger runs. Our printing guide (linked below) walks through it. Feel free to reach out to our team (help@reftab.com) if a 1:1 walkthrough would be helpful!

"Flexible, easy to use with great integrations and automation potential"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

The thing I like best about Reftab is how easy the UI is to interact with. It's easy to find the things I need quickly. Searching is a breeze. UI wise you can also filter and change your view in a granular way to easily find what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

There is nothing major to dislike; I do wish the software section were less clunky to use and supported things less specific to licenses and software like general contracts and support. We'd like to keep it as a repository for more than just simple software licensing. Maybe making the category more broadly defined would help -- instead of the "Software" section, loosen that up to be contracts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you for the review! We're glad searching and filtering get you to what you need quickly, and that the Azure and Intune integrations take a step out of loanee assignment during onboarding.

We appreciate your ideas for the Software section and have shared them with our product team. We are always looking for ways to better support the work that matters to you. In the meantime, license records support custom fields, renewal alerts, and one-time charges, and our software guide (linked below) walks through current capabilities.

"Granular, Automated Asset Tracking with Excellent Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

I can make Reftab as granular or as streamlined as I need it to be.

The automation workflows for reports and asset status updates give me more time back in my day. I can edit things as needed and really dial in on exactly what I’m looking for. The integrations for CDW and Apple Business Manager are more than helpful. I switched to Reftab from another asset program, and importing my assets was a breeze. There’s also a clone feature for assets that I use for items without serial numbers, which is especially helpful for FFE items. This is already out performing previous system.

I also want to mention that the support from the staff has been excellent. Will and James have been great to work with.

Pricing is competitive and it has already paid for itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

The only thing I find a bit frustrating is the asset ID prefix. When I import from a file, it seems to pick up the last asset ID that was used and continues from there. I can use the Asset overlay to update the ID afterward, but aside from that, there’s really nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you for the review! We're glad the automation workflows, CDW and Apple Business Manager integrations, and clone feature have made the switch worthwhile, and we'll pass your kind words along to Will and James. On asset IDs during import, the Asset Increment setting and barcode prefixes give you more control over how IDs are generated. I've linked a guide below, but feel free to reach out if we can assist with your setup on a call.

"Detailed Organization and Fast, User-Friendly Workflow with Reftab"
4/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

Definitely the details in organization. Reftab makes it easy to separate things in categories and for physical location within our rental space and where it is outside of the rental space. I appreciate all of the little details that I personally don't have to keep track of, and it definitely makes the workflow super easy. I love that I can easily connect a scanner to Reftab, makes the workflow even faster. It runs super fast on busy days and rarely ever has problems with customers. The setup is fairly simple on learning how to use it, it's very user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

I said it's user-friendly, but there has been a couple times where I think it's leading me to where I wanted to be led, but I have to click out and return to a different page to try something else. I also haven't been able to see any of the AI capabilities integrated, so maybe that's a user error, or Reftab can make it more known in the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thank you for the review! We're glad categories, locations, and scanner support keep busy rental days moving. We'd like to hear which pages send you back and forth so we can share shortcuts. Email help@reftab.com, and our team would be happy to show you our latest AI features and talk through how to best utilize them for your program.

"Efficient Asset Management with Streamlined Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Reftab?

I really like the ease of use of Reftab. I've used a lot of different asset managers, and this one is not overcomplicated, making it simple to use. The integrations with vendors like Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, and Okta are significant and make it an all-in-one platform that's convenient for us. I also find the location feature very useful because it lets us create parent and child locations for detailed tracking, and relocating assets is easy while keeping an amazing audit trail. The software licensing and cost savings features are a big plus, as they've allowed us to save hundreds of dollars by identifying unused licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reftab?

I think the kits section in Reftab could use some improvement. While I love being able to create kits for events, having multiple devices ready to go, it would be better if the individual assets within a kit could be allocated to a person. I'm really into ownership and auditing, and this would enhance that aspect for me. Otherwise, most of it works quite well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Szarka of Reftab

Thanks, Michael. We're glad parent and child locations, the vendor integrations, and license tracking are paying off, including the savings from unused licenses. Assigning individual assets within a kit to different people makes sense for ownership and auditing, and we've shared the idea with our product team. If you'd like to talk through how you use kits today, reach out to help@reftab.com.
