PSQL database files can be defragmented without any engine down time. Reads and writes can operate continuously during defragmentation. The Defragmenter GUI will detect data files in use and can analyze fragmentation levels of files, allowing users to quickly find the biggest problem first.

"Great for workstation to server information exchange!"

What do you like best?

I use PSQL for workstation to server level communications for CYMA Accounting Software and F9 Financial Report Writer. It works well under the right type of environments!

What do you dislike?

If the slightest change happens in the host environment it can mean your team is shut down on the workstation level. It's a canary. If there is something wrong, it sings...

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need for multiple applications to be able to talk to the server level without having users directly inside of one. Actian makes this possible.

What Relational Databases solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!
