Our school district uses it for common curriculum assessments so it is easily accessible by all teachers in a specific grade level/subject. They can also set the same settings for all students taking the assessment to ensure accurate data collection. The integration across 50+ schools makes this a great tool for school districts. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Performance Matters?** For individual teachers, it is a little cumbersome to create an individual assessment. It takes a lot of time to get the assessment created and formated correctly. And because of all of the options which is usually a good thing, if teachers do not use the tool frequently, the options can be overwhelming and the teacher may not use the tool to the best of its ability. **What problems is PowerSchool Performance Matters solving and how is that benefiting you?** PowerSchool Performance Matters Assessment allows the easily implementation and distributing of formal common assessments across a 50+ school district to collect accurate data and allow teachers to easily review and analyze said data. ### 2. I hate giving the assessments on it to my students because I hate standardized assessments as a whole, and this particular program requires me to remember a million clicks. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Performance Matters?** This is clunky. It is not user-friendly or intuitive. I am pretty good with tech, but I still have to rewatch tutorials every time I use the program because there are so many steps. Also, the page is often hard to navigate and difficult to read because of the layout of the screen. It is hard to enter data into the program because the screen is small and cut in half. **What problems is PowerSchool Performance Matters solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem we are solving is the ability to give many students the same assessment and gather the data in one place. It really isn't my benefit because I don't much believe in this kind of data. ### 3. Simple and Easy. Add in custom forms, and the HR process has been made more easily managed. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Performance Matters?** We are still in the implementation portion of the software and have not run into anything we dislike. That being said, I do wish there were more options for importing. Currently only a limited amount of fields can be pulled into Perform. **What problems is PowerSchool Performance Matters solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were using paper forms to complete employee yearly reviews and assessments. We also pledge to cut down on paper consumption, which will be a possibility by utilizing this and other PS systems. ### 4. Additionally, it is difficult to score students as it requires a lot of clicks. **What problems is PowerSchool Performance Matters solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems it solves is for my district to be able to push out standardized tests and gather results. ### 7. Once you play around with it a bit, you learn what the different symbols and pictures mean and realize it's quite user-friendly. I like that there are many different ways to see data and inform instruction. You can access assessments, upload formal observation scores and evaluations, and edit the information at any time. Data is organized per pupil, so it is easy and convenient. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Performance Matters?** There are A LOT of symbols and tabs and drop-down menus; it can be intimidating at first as you try to navigate. It will definitely take some time to learn in terms of navigation, and it can sometimes take many clicks to get where you want to be, but all in all as you use it more you become more efficient. **Recommendations to others considering PowerSchool Performance Matters:** Spend some time exploring the platform, clicking around, and learning where everything is and what things mean. **What problems is PowerSchool Performance Matters solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to learn more about my students and their strengths and needs. Performance Matters allows me to view and compare test scores, old and new data, etc. One issue is that it can time out quite quickly.
