## About Portnox
Portnox is a cloud-native enterprise access control solution designed to help organizations secure every identity, both human and non-human, across their networks, applications, and infrastructure. As organizations face increasingly complex environments characterized by a proliferation of identities, devices, and workloads, Portnox enables continuous access verification based on identity context, device posture, and risk signals. This unified platform streamlines access management by integrating passwordless authentication, access control, continuous policy enforcement, and automated response through a single policy engine. The target audience for Portnox includes distributed organizations that require robust access management across a diverse range of users, such as employees, contractors, service accounts, and IoT devices. By addressing the challenges of managing access in a fragmented landscape, Portnox reduces reliance on on-premises appliances and legacy VPNs. Its capabilities extend to managing access for both managed and unmanaged devices, SaaS applications, private applications, and AI agents, making it a versatile solution for modern enterprises seeking to enhance their security frameworks. Portnox offers a comprehensive suite of services through its PORTNOX CLOUD platform, including Network Access Control (NAC), Secure Remote Access (ZTNA), Always-on Authentication (RADIUS), and Infrastructure Administration (TACACS+). These services empower security and IT teams with real-time visibility into all connections, enabling them to swiftly restrict, quarantine, or revoke access for non-compliant entities. With Portnox actively managing over one million devices globally and securing 40 million authentication sessions daily, it plays a crucial role in safeguarding organizational resources and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Key features of Portnox include the ability to discover and assess users, devices, and identities connecting to corporate resources, as well as enforcing risk-based access policies across various environments. The platform supports passwordless authentication and device posture checks, ensuring continuous access enforcement. Additionally, it enhances audit readiness through comprehensive visibility, access logs, and policy-based compliance controls, which are essential for organizations navigating regulatory requirements. Portnox seamlessly integrates with existing tools and infrastructure, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, and various network appliances like Meraki and Fortinet. This compatibility allows organizations to leverage their current technology stack while enhancing their security posture. By centralizing access policy enforcement from a single cloud-native engine, Portnox stands out as a comprehensive solution for enterprises looking to secure their digital environments effectively.

## Portnox Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive, Cloud-Native NAC Controls

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick S. | AVP of Cybersecurity, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

What I like best about Portnox is how it simplifies network access control without sacrificing security. The platform is intuitive, cloud-native, and easy to deploy, which significantly reduces operational overhead while still supporting a strong zero-trust approach. Portnox delivers enterprise-grade security in a way that’s practical, scalable, and aligned with modern IT environments.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

Cost has increased in recent years. It used to be half of what it cost us today.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portnox enabled us to successfully implement network access control and 802.1X across our environment. With Portnox in place, all external access points and network switches require 802.1X authentication before any device is granted network access, strengthening our overall security posture.”

  ### 2. Effortless Integration and Outstanding Support Across Multiple Sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh T. | Cyber Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

Very easy to implement, agent is very lightweight and the customer support is fantastic. Whenever weve had issues with our obscure hardware and weird radius requirements theyve always managed to get us up and running. We use this across many sites across the UK and it works seemlessly. was very easy to integrate as any other 802.1x provider would be on a network level

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

It is more expensive than other NAC providers, but you get what you pay for.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to deny LAN access to non compliant devices. Devices which do not meet patch requirements or are missing software (EG AV/ Siem etc) do not get permitted to access the LAN, instead they are assinged to an internet-only network allowing remediation but not access to resources.

  ### 3. Exceptional Security and Admin Experience with PortKnox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

I've listed some of the features that our company enjoys the most with PortKnox.
- Passwordless authentication.
- Complex but advantageous admin UI experience for support.
- Integrated security features for risk monitoring.
- Customer support is often very helpful and can make implementation easy.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

- Similar to the best features, the UI can feel a bit confusing sometimes and needs a steep learning curve for people new to the system.
- Pricing is higher than average which can make it challenging for new deployments.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network access control is one of the biggest features we use for our organization and it helps manage unauthorized access to our networks across the country. This paired with the increased security of automated security features for personal devices we allow on our networks.

  ### 4. Portnox Clear Saves Time, Though Pricing Could Improve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

Portnox Clear saves our team at least a month of working on implementing an On-prem radius solution.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

Didn't have anything to say except the pricing.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saas SaaS-based Radius and SCEP provider.
