## Portnox Reviews
  ### 1. Useful but has a few flaws

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hillel G. | Information Technology System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

Portnox is very useful for blocking unwanted connections from unwanted or unknown sources, this Lan security tool is very important for monitoring the safety of your network and is an essential tool for your infosec department

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

Sometimes and for unknown reasons it blocks ports of working stations and then you need to find the blocked port, it's very painful since the information is not always accurate and you need to struggle to open back the port

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the exposure of your network across the organization especially when you have many networks and even your workers can mess it up by connecting different network devices by accident

  ### 2. Nice platform for port blocking and securing your network

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avi P. | Web Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

I like the console which shows you a picture of what your network switch would look like and labels the ports and has colors to indicate their status (Green, red, yellow)

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

I don't like the fact that I would have to go to each blocked port on the site then get the IP address or computer name to then have to remote desktop into it and install the needed update. Would be much better if it did that for me via a script...

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the access based control and security measures that it offers with relative ease of use. It is nice to know that computers with not-up to date endpoint security will not be public to the internet.

  ### 3. 360 Degree Modern Security Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yajur G. | Strategy Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

The most helpful aspect of Portnox is its ability to integrate with any networks solution and on top of this cloud native offering makes it useful for the IT modernization.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

When we were working on the prototype for one of the projects, Compliance is where we believe more can be done and in Healthcare ot becomes even more crucial. More info on the HIPAA and similar compliance as per the local geographies can be extremely useful

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Potnox is primarily working on Network related management and security of the wide IT network. We primarily worked with a client for a PoC to develop a centralized solution to monitor for network endpoints across different regions.

  ### 4. The perfect NAC

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

Ease of deployment, Fully in the cloud, which eliminates the need for the end user to maintain a hardware server, easy to configure and use, does not affect PC performance and has all the features I need in a NAC solution.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

Perhaps the only thing is that it is somewhat expensive, that is, the cost per license is high, but otherwise, we've come up against nothing else bad.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to see, control, react and manage the risks that networks bear from users and devices. It unifies essential network and endpoint security capabilities: device discovery, network authentication, access control, network hardware management, risk mitigation and compliance enforcement.

  ### 5. Portnox

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

The solution is very easy to use, it's simplicity is its best feature. With the solution being cloud native it also better allignes to our cloud first strategy and helps drive adoption.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

The solution has limited monitoring tools meaning we dont have the level of functionality we would ideally want and also the support could be improved for a quicker response time.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool aims to solves our need to authenticate across our network and gives us a more simply unified approach to doing so. This simplifies our network and access management.

  ### 6. Great Clearpass alternative

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Portnox?**

It's not Clearpass! You're not locked in an expensive ecosystem and there is a great community that gives you amazing insights on how to do things. If you're leaving Clearpass for obvious reasons, Portknox isn't a bad choice.

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

There are some features of Clearpass that are more mature but Portknox is a viable alternative for sure.

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portknox is much easier on the budget than Clearpass. We were looking for a network security solution and were almost going to spend more money we didn't have on Clearpass. Portknox is comparable in every way and much cheaper.

  ### 7. Well thought-out solution

**Reviewed by:** Elsayed E. | Digital Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

It is deployed from a central location but it can see activity across all network locations. Automates reactions based on device and user behavior to prevent breaches

**What do you dislike about Portnox?**

I don't feel like we have the best features that can learn from the event context to maximize future protection

**What problems is Portnox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

See relevant security risks on the network. Gives admins the control they need to prevent risks and effectively respond to the ones that get through

The Portnox system protects my network by following the policies you put in place for it. I don't have to worry as much about network security because I can trust the program.
