"Effortlessly Boosts User Engagement in Healthcare"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I really love the Pendo guides. They are super helpful, especially when we do user surveys and user recruitment. We've used them a lot for new feature launches and other similar activities. It makes things way easier for us because we can just set up the guides, and then it's completely self-service for our users, which are healthcare providers and their office staff. This has increased our engagement with our users quite a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I think one of the biggest issues we run into is visibility across the entirety of our platform because of legal restrictions in the healthcare space. There's not anything specific that Pendo can do, I think it's just the nature of the industry that we're in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless User Interviews, Complex Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo for in-app guides to recruit and schedule user interviews and usability tests. It’s more effective than what we were using before for this use case and less expensive than dedicated tools we've explored. Since we already pay for Pendo, expanding it to this use case was cost-effective. I also like how fairly easy it is to get a guide up and running quickly. Additionally, we’ve been able to schedule a steady stream of interviews by integrating Pendo with Calendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

It's a steep learning curve because the tool is so complex and does require more collaboration with engineering than you may think from a sales pitch, because what you want to measure may not be available on a click so it may require a track event to be created by an engineer. Difficult initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo for analytics and user education. It's been a massive help for gaining quantitative data that I can't source due to how my app is used. I love how easy it is to get a survey I want to run into production. Moreover, I really appreciate how funnels and dashboards can quickly show me how a rollout is progressing, helping me measure the success of a new feature I'm driving adoption for. Surveys help me turn a sense of how something is working into quantitative data, and funnels and dashboards show me who is taking all the steps to adopt a feature, which is incredibly useful. The initial setup was pretty easy, and the Pendo team was really helpful in guiding my engineers through the complicated parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

They're working hard on AI support. Sometimes it's ok. Sometimes I still need a human to help me. Just getting a support bot chat started is a multi-step process. And sometimes it just can't answer my questions like a Pendo employee can. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup, Deep User Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I love Pendo's simple initial setup, particularly how easy it is to add the snippet. I find its advanced capabilities through the use of metadata impressive, allowing for a deeper analysis. I appreciate that any feature click or page view is reportable from the moment the snippet was installed, even if it wasn’t tagged initially. The embedded guide features are great because they let us insert content into the user experience in a non-disruptive way, and I really value the deep insight I get into user behaviors across our platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

The historical metadata concept is not supported in all areas of Pendo, which limits some of our reporting capabilities. It's quite manual to build many similar reports and dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Tool with Creative Potential and Setup Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

What I like most about Pendo is how fun it is to create in-app guides. It's a bit creative, which I enjoy, and I enjoy working with my other coworkers on building out education, tooltips, and the resource center at our company. I think it's got a lot of great tools and features that we can use if just used properly. There's a lot that Pendo can do and a lot that I find is very exciting. What do you dislike about Pendo?

We have some issues with segmenting within the Pendo account, and we're still working on it. It's also about figuring out who is responsible for what, which is something we are still working on. Plus, the initial setup was a bit difficult. We kind of started at the end, and now we have to backtrack and start from the beginning, so setup was a little bit hard. "Innovative Product Analytics with Room for Growth"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I like the innovation and quick pace at which Pendo develops and ships. I also like the new AI tooling. I think they went to market pretty fast on that and they are taking big bets even with AI changing at such a rapid pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Because of the way that our UUX has been tagged, sometimes it's hard to track every element that our FIs care about. Also because of the way our UUX has been tagged, it is hard to use embedded guides in the ways we imagined. I also think there are portions of Pendo we don't touch at all like NPS. We could be adopting parts more - and our FIs could also be adopting portions of OEM more too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative Solution Enhancing User Engagement"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo for onboarding, walkthroughs, tool tips, and customer notices, as well as data and analytics. I like the usability of it. While there's a slight learning curve if you're new to it, it's always innovating and makes my job as a PMM easier for deploying messaging and announcements. It helps take customer onboarding to another level beyond just point and click instructions. I also appreciate innovations like Leo that help me find analytics faster, improve messaging, and suggest new ways to promote under-utilized features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I wish there was a way to trigger a delay of guides after a customer clicks a feature or submit button. That would help with CSAT or other feedback surveys once a customer completes a task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Retroactive Insights and Session Playback That Deliver"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

The retroactive function and the ability to play back user sessions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

There’s definitely a learning curve, and the whole process of tagging things feels very tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Timothy Wilson of Pendo

The combination of retroactive analytics and session replay is powerful for understanding where users struggle, great to hear it's informing your training approach.

On tagging: the Visual Design Studio's Suggested Match gets you most of the way there quickly, and the Rule Builder lets you refine without writing code.

Enabling "Filter dynamic custom HTML attribute values" in tagging settings also prevents the most common source of tagging frustration — unstable rules that break between sessions. I included a resource to this as well.

"Saves time & gives good insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I've used Pendo at two companies and find it very intuitive and versatile. Whether looking into usage data for potential UX improvements, setting up tracking for new products, or getting creative with guides that would otherwise require engineering resources, I find Pendo to be a valuable tool for many teams ranging from product to sales. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

There are very minimal limitations or challenges. Better report alerts or additional bulk actions for pages and features, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Interface and Deep Insights with Pendo"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I appreciate Pendo's very friendly user interface, which allows me to easily dive deep into workflows and also view things from a zoomed-out perspective. The capability to locate user workflows, feature clicks, funnels, and paths with ease is a big plus for me. I love that I can click into the UI elements and charts to get more detailed information, such as specific clicks, navigation paths, drop-off points, and which user segments are using a particular feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I think that having the ability to tag things quicker and more effectively will be a big help. I understand that this is something that is coming in the future, but I don't have access to it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
