"Powerful Analytics with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo for analytics to understand teacher, student, and admin behaviors and feature adoption on my edtech platform. I appreciate that Pendo gives us visibility into what our users are actually accessing and provides insights into how they are getting there. It helps us gauge feature adoption and provides valuable data to inform future investments and product features. I like Pendo's power; there is such a wealth of information gathered and so many ways to analyze, report, and surface information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I want more trust in the data that Pendo is pulling and the ability to look under the hood to understand how it got its results. I want stronger filtering capabilities and more flexibility in how far I can drill down into my data. At the moment, I feel very constrained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform with Customization, Lacks Notification Features"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I find Pendo easy to use, and I appreciate its level of customization, which helps me be good at my job. I love the segments and guides, as they provide a lot of flexibility, making it easy for me to narrow down populations to track and communicate with. It also makes it fast and easy to get users to get on calls with me and allows me to get quick quantitative and qualitative data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I think Pendo needs to build out its notification functionality. I'd like to be notified of certain behaviors, like the submission of guide polls, through email or Slack notifications. Currently, I find myself checking Pendo too often during the day because it doesn't notify me when there's something I need to see. Also, while I wasn't responsible for the code setup, I found that tagging had a learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stable and User-Friendly, But Debugging Needs Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I like that Pendo is easy to use and the platform is very stable with many use cases. In our company, everyone can use Pendo, and roles like BSAs, POs, and AMs use it for validating, researching, and other tasks. I find it valuable for communications and education, and it helps in improving UX. Specifically, Account Managers find it helpful for validating user feedback when issues need escalation. Overall, different roles within our company can effectively use it in various ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Debugging broken guides is not very easy. In our company, we are working on fixing interactions between development and UX (admins of Pendo) in what Pendo refers to, because sometimes there are changes in the app that break guides and tagging. So when I go see our list of guide issues to fix them, I find it difficult to debug. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Insights, Needs Better Tagging Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I appreciate how Pendo allows me to leverage the dashboard to get a heartbeat on my product areas. It helps me validate customer usage, like if users are dropping off at a specific step in a form. Pendo allows us to identify and address these issues effectively by using guides or embedding surveys, enhancing the overall user experience. Once I was shown the step-by-step setup, it was easy to use, even though it was overwhelming at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Getting an executive dashboard for leaders where all areas like both mobile apps and browser are consolidated... and the biggest pain point at my workplace is getting clean tagging with people moving areas. It's hard to find what others tagged, so I would love a crawler that cleaned up tags like an aid, so I, as a product manager, can work with the crawler page by page and click yes to tag it, and it automatically tags the page for me and going forward if that product is passed on, it keeps that memory. Also, it's about getting new members to actually use Pendo. Once I was shown step by step, it was easy, but at first, it was overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI Tag Maintenance is a Game-Changer, Metadata Audit Needs Speed and the same efficiencies"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I like Pendo's feedback feature, and I think the new AI tag maintenance feature is a game changer. Just last week, I started using it to see broken tags, and it has really wowed me by helping me clean up Pendo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Metadata audit. Please make metadata audit as fast as the new tag maintenance to catch the data errors early. Right now I have to ask a TAM to run an audit of our meta data. This is time consuming takes weeks to get back and more weeks to fix the issue. I want a page like tag AI maintenance to show me what metadata fields are repetitive and which API they are coming from and how often it is being pulled. I inherited a disaster and spent BTL to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Insight with Pendo's Intuitive Dashboards"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I love using Pendo for discovery and post-release processes, especially for creating reports for ELT. It solves user behavior and product roadmapping challenges during discovery, and lets me know the success of a launch and KPIs during post-release. The fact that it creates beautiful dashboards for ELT is a big plus. What I like most is its ease of use and that it requires no coding. Before Pendo, I had to pull SQL queries, but now with tagging, I can see metrics and user behavior quite easily and drill into specific users, which was a challenge with SQL. The initial setup was easy, making Pendo even more valuable to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I find the limit of only two groups in the dashboard frustrating. I wish there was no such restriction. It would also be great to have combined metrics for our iOS, Android, and desktop platforms for better analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Analytics with AI-Powered Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I like the ease of using Pendo; it's intuitive and backed by AI to suggest improvements. Thanks to Pendo, we can see where client pain points are and where they are succeeding. We can see what is and is not working in their experience, all powered by AI. Pendo helps us understand what is and is not working for our clients instead of waiting for them to contact us with their complaints. We see when they go in circles trying to find the right path for their journey and when they are able to quickly locate the options they want. Pendo uses AI to auto-suggest improvements and to perform baseline data analytics for us, allowing us to do a deeper dive on the information we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I wish I could edit Pendo guides without opening them in our application. Due to our SSO, I can't open the guides for edit directly from Pendo. I have to open Pendo and then open the application in a separate window, then use Developer Tools to access the Pendo guides. It would be significantly easier if I could edit within Pendo and then only go to the application for the final review when I'm ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Tool with Robust Analytics Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo to track user interaction with our product, helping to uncover both positive and negative patterns and reporting data like adoption and usage. Pendo makes it easy for me to see general metrics and drill into specific problem areas. I love that it is more intuitive and discoverable compared to our previous platform. It simplifies tagging by identifying and recommending elements on a page, reducing my workload. I appreciate that it automatically suggests metrics and data I might be interested in and informs me about features I could tag. The initial setup was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I'm still learning how to be better at naming conventions, and in the future I want Pendo to tag for me because it's a lot of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep Analytics with a Steep Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I appreciate the depth of Pendo's capabilities. Moving from a similar system, Pendo simply offers more with greater detail than our previous platform. The various reporting types with analytics allow us to make product design decisions and provide valuable user data and metrics to our customer-facing team, which improves their experience and reach with our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

While Pendo is deep, it’s also easy to drown in all the things you can do. I’m the solo Pendo user and am leading the implementation. I’ve completed the Pendo web training, which was great, but at times I still feel lost and occasionally overwhelmed with setting everything up properly. I think it really comes down to needing guidance on what to set up. For example, there are numerous analytics and reports but at the start, I had no idea what I should run, set up, or focus on first. "Powerful Insight Tool with A/B Testing Trade-Off"
5/5
What do you like best about Pendo?

I use Pendo to measure journey deviations, conduct surveys, provide in-app training guides, and track the adoption of tools and features. I like that it solves user complexities by allowing us to discover use cases not originally part of product builds and helps us ensure user retention by driving change. The non-technical requirements to tag, build, and track data sets are a plus because they preserve our engineering bandwidth. This capability allows us to draw insights and bring best-in-class epics to our team for prioritization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

We rely heavily on A/B testing and analysis. Currently, this is something we have to complete offline through downloading data and segmenting. Also, it was difficult on federated tools but easy on non-federated web applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
