Passage is an essay evaluation platform designed to analyze college application essays through four independent AI readers. The platform employs an adversarial evaluation method where each reader operates separately, examining essays sentence by sentence to identify strengths and weaknesses. The Exhausted Reader simulates an admissions officer with limited attention span, the Gatekeeper identifies generic claims and vague language, the Voice Skeptic evaluates authenticity in the student's voice, and the Pool Comparator detects overused topics or predictable narratives. When multiple readers flag the same issue, it is treated as confirmed feedback, while single-reader flags are marked as outliers. Results are delivered in plain English within minutes. The platform does not rewrite essays or store submissions. Users submit their essay and receive feedback via email.
