## InPlace Software Reviews
  ### 1. Global University Reach with Smart Access Restrictions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawan B. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

The global reach of it within the University is useful, while still allowing restrictions wherever needed. Most of the functionality is helpful. InFlow is the new system our Uni has started using for CPP, along with other things.

Customer Support is good in most cases, and integration is also available with other systems like Student Systems and Finance. It is not too difficult to use, and you can follow the Help Guides, as I use it every day at my work.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Some feature enhancements take too long to be implemented based on their priority by the vendor.
It glitches every now and then fixes itself automatically which gets frustrating sometimes. As mentioned earlier, the Customer support is good in most cases but when it's not, you never know how long it's going to take for the issue to be fixed and most of the times you don't get an explanation as to how/why the issue occurred.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace Software replaces messy, manual placement management with one streamlined, intelligent system, making placements faster, more organized, compliant, and more effective for everyone involved.

  ### 2. Easy to Use, but Support Channels Need to Be Clearer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chio C. | Commonwealth Prac Payment Project Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

I think InPlace is easy to use and some of its functionalities work pretty well for placement purposes. As we use this software every day, we appreciate that it is easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

When we run into issues with the system, it’s too difficult to find customer support. I think it would be helpful to have a chat option, or at least a dedicated email address, where we could send questions or support requests. For example, I’m currently experiencing some issues with logbooks and have a few questions, but I don’t know where to go for help, and the guides provided don’t address my specific questions or issues. Having a clearer support channel like this would make it easier to implement and integrate InPlace with our data and systems.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of placements and data.

  ### 3. Streamlines Educational Operations, But Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elena G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

I appreciate the ease of use of InPlace Software. I'm excited to try the feature that notifies us when someone earns a low score on an assessment or evaluation. The confirmation email feature and the placement manager tool are very easy to use. It's nice that all of our data is stored in one place, allowing me to quickly communicate with all stakeholders in a placement and download reports easily. These tasks are time-consuming, but with InPlace, they are done relatively quickly.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

The merge fields don't always work well, and I get frustrated that I don't have more control over which merge fields exist. I would also like to better isolate agency personnel in merge fields. We had a lot of difficulty with onboarding. I felt like we weren't being heard and still run into issues due to the initial setup.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find InPlace Software reduces mistakes from multiple spreadsheets and streamlines communication with school sites. It stores all our data in one place, allowing me to write to stakeholders quickly and download reports easily, saving time on these tasks.

  ### 4. Good database, tools can be lacking sometimes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brayden N. | Placements administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

Being able to store information and documents and use as a CRM - I use InPlace as my source and reference of information every day

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

I find it difficult to use with large amounts of information, tools such as bulk uploading agencies tend to not work very well for me. I have also had so many issues with the InFlow forms (which are thankfully being resolved) and I find exporting attributes (such as student documents) to be slightly lacking.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the need to track placement details in very inefficient spreadsheets etc. Greatly reduces the amount of double handling involved. Unfortunately we still use a grand spreadsheet to track student pre-placement requirement documents which is not ideal but hopefully with the Placement Readiness module this will be no longer necessary.

  ### 5. User-Friendly for Student Placements, Needs Better Mobile Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

I like that finding a student is easy with InPlace Software. Running field practice reports to figure out what's coming up is also easy. Setting it up wasn't too hard, and it's a part of my job as a lecturer to know when a student's placement is starting and to be able to read notes and plan ahead also record communications with students and AT's

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Sometimes it logs out, there's too many tabs that you have to click on and open to find things, and feedback from ATs and students is that it isn't phone friendly, it could run better when being accessed from a phone.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find InPlace Software makes finding a student and running field practice reports easy, which is vital for my job as a lecturer to track student placements.

  ### 6. Efficient Placement Management, but a Clunky Learning Curve for New Users

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

What I like most about InPlace Software is how it streamlines the entire placement process into one central, easy-to-manage system. Overall, it creates a more efficient and organised experience for both administrators and students, which is especially valuable in busy environments.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

One of the main challenges with InPlace Software is that the interface can feel a bit clunky and not always intuitive, particularly for new users. It can take some time to learn where everything is and how to navigate certain functions efficiently.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace Software is solving the complexity of managing student placements by bringing everything into one central system. Without a platform like InPlace, placement coordination can become fragmented across emails, spreadsheets, and manual records, which increases the risk of errors, duplication, and miscommunication.

  ### 7. Clear workflow and easy document tracking, but it needs to be more user‑friendly.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

It helps reduce a lot of manual follow-up, keeps the workflow clear, and makes it easy to track the required documents.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Some parts of the system can feel unintuitive, especially for new users, and the overall setup is highly dependent on how each component is configured. The platform introduces many new terms and concepts, some of which overlap or influence each other in ways that aren’t always obvious. For example, features like Timesheets and Schedules can be confusing because their settings interconnect. Additionally, when setting up an Experience with a start and end date, those details do not automatically carry over when adding a placement experience on the student’s page, which leads to extra manual adjustments.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace brings everything—student details, documentation, and placement details—into one place. The query tool improves efficiency, minimises errors, and supports better reporting.

  ### 8. Uncluttered Faculty & Student UI with Easy-to-Find Action Items

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

The faculty and student user interface, it is uncluttered and the action items are easy to find on the toolbar.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

From a UX/UI design perspective, I think the SuperUser interface is tricky to navigate, and the labeling of menu items is difficult to interpret. My impression is that InPlace is working to be excellent in a variety of areas to offer maximum flexibility for the University's unique placement workflow. What I think gets lost in the flexibility and adaptability offered by the system is a clear path forward in the interface for the University Staff responsible for placements.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has largely given our University staff responsible for placements a centralized place to facilitate placement tasks. At this time, staff are uncertain whether this benefit outweighs the steep learning curve and bumpy implementation.

  ### 9. Best there is but room for improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

We can manage most of the processes of internship management in one place. Nice database is easy to update and correct.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Does not retain student records. Being able to use this for alumni would be fantastic. Add that add-on, please, to roll the record to an alumni database section to maintain the records for a smaller cost to all parties.
Difficult for students to generate a report of their hours to retain for future licensing.
Unable to currently manage the first stages of onboarding students in INplace due to issues with adding them manually, then having them added by the system. It currently creates two records, and merging them is difficult and not included in the current costs.
Advanced training for reports is slow because we need to request it.
Confirming who signed off on timesheets is a problem

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enrollment updating is mostly automated, so no manual entry of students into classes. Updating hours is easy. Forms in INflow are better but still a work in progress.

  ### 10. User-Friendly Solution for Student Placement Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

I really like how user-friendly InPlace Software is across different devices. It's been easy to use on my laptop, desktop, and phone without any issues. This seamless access makes me more productive since I can work wherever I am. I appreciate how InPlace has helped ensure that nothing falls through the cracks by having everything in one place, like provider and student details, making it easy to see how all my placements are going.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

nothing

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace Software ensures nothing falls through the cracks by consolidating everything in one place. It combines providers' and students' details, allowing me to view all placements on a single screen.

  ### 11. Great for Tracking, but Unreliable Sync and Over-Customization Slow Implementation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth H. | Work Integrated Learning Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

the link between the student onboarding and the placement site (Network side). For tracking and record keeping.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Syncing with the Network side is unreliable. Software is too customizable and therefore difficult to implement use of all available features.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to coordinate placements with our biggest placement partner and track onboarding requirements and placement details.

  ### 12. All-in-One Student Journey Hub for Verifications and Placement Allocation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

Everything about the student journey is in one spot. including verifications, placement allocation and other information required.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Some of the processes are annoying. For example, there’s no spell check on the communication templates. Also, when you allocate a student from Placement Manager, it still keeps that student highlighted, and you have to manually unhighlight them even after the whole process has been completed. I would like the option of being able to email the agencies from their profile.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a quicker less labour intensive way of allocating placements, sending documents and everyone in my team can see the communication and student information in one place.

  ### 13. Easy to Use with Strong Reporting Capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa L. | Associate Director ITS, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

For me the ease of use and reporting capabilites are wha I like best.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Some of the restircitions on being able to change field names to make them more customized to our environment.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the implementation of InPlace we are retiring an old custom software product and we are hopeful that the team will be able to improve their current processes.

  ### 14. Student Login Feature Makes Explaining Systems So Much Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole G. | Professional Placement Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

I love the ability to log in as a student, this makes it easier in my role to explain certain systems to students

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

the integration doesn't always seem seamless

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Placement Readiness Module - this has been a fantastic implementation for our team

  ### 15. Limitations of InPlace for our Medical Program, no efficient

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

it is easy to get in touch with customer service

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

It is not customizable to our school’s needs and is complex when creating placement rotations, as it requires too many steps. Additionally, the language and calendar cannot be adjusted to fit a different university program, which reduces its practicality and makes it inefficient.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no problem solved or practicality, it is not easy to navigate, complex because requires way too many steps and limited features to adapt it to our medical program. the application is not customizable at all.

  ### 16. Streamlined Processes and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia J. | Senior Youth Employment Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

What I like best about InPlace Software is how it significantly enhanced the efficiency of our Youth Employment program. The platform streamlined processes, improved productivity, and made managing tasks much more seamless. With the support of our analyst's exceptional project management and his proactive problem-solving, the implementation process was smooth and well-coordinated. Even with a tight timeline, which was our biggest hurdle, InPlace was never a limiting factor. The software’s features, combined with our analyst's thorough guidance and quick responses, made the entire experience highly effective and stress-free.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Overall, my experience with the InPlace platform has been excellent. The main challenges included the inability to use a time format other than military time, the absence of automated agency/student confirmations, and the somewhat limited search filters for placements. Despite these minor issues, we are very happy with the sytem. Our team is confident that the platform will continue to improve and evolve over time.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace is actively working on adjusting the timesheet format to improve ease of use for our students. The InPlace team is also providing valuable support as we prepare for implementation in the upcoming year. This will be our first full cycle with the system, and we’re confident that their ongoing assistance will ensure a smooth and efficient rollout.

  ### 17. great software to use at work!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ling G. | Intern - Business Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

its intuitive design, making it easier for students and staff to navigate, schedule, and track placement processes.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

Some people find the interface user-friendly, but for me at first time use it, i found it hard to navigate, and it was overwhelming or unintuitive.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was managing internships, and placements can be chaotic when using multiple tools (email, spreadsheets, phone calls). Coordinating with students, employers, and faculty adds complexity, InPlace centralizes everything in one platform. It allows me to manage placements, track student progress, and communicate in one place.

- Cannot see log of previous edits
- Manual time consuming to set up personalised allocation groups etc
- pulling reports is not intuative
- poor training provided by company

  ### 22. Effective, Flexible, and User Friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about InPlace Software?**

InPlace provides a single space to maintain records, arrange placements, and support assessment and reporting requirements with transparency and ease. InPlace immediately updates in real-time, providing collaboration across users and supporting students, supervisors, and faculty in clinical experiences. Most importantly - it saves time and efficiency! I can customize my own assessments, logbooks, and reports - and when I'm stuck, the InPlace service team is able to quickly assist.

**What do you dislike about InPlace Software?**

As with any software tool, it takes time to onboard colleagues to improve implementation outcomes. Many of the templates are health-related; as InPlace expands to support teacher preparation clinical programs, I'd love to see some education templates - or even the ability to make my own templates!

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InPlace manages all data and records related to teacher candidate field experience and student teaching placements - hundreds of placements each semester. InPlace makes it easy to manage - allowing me to focus on supporting every student vs worrying about our data tools.

**What problems is InPlace Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking of student clinical requirements. Automating clinical evaluations. Phenomenal reporting!

  ### 24. Perfect!
