Some students do not have the required technology to be able to use the software and when they do, it is sometimes challenging to have Respondus recognize the hardware (e.g. video camera). It is one of the best browsers for conducting online tests of students. while using the lockdown browser, the students are barred from using other tabs or programs or files from their computer which can be used for cheating. When used in a proctored environment, it is one of the most secure testing browsers. one add-on feature of the lockdown browser is that it allows the admin to access the webcam and mic of the user for better surveillance. The lockdown browser is good, but even it has some bugs and leaks, it takes a good amount of time to set up. It has glitches when using it on Mac, and the UI is not very user-friendly for everyone.
