Greatly reduces fraud, and the profit losses that result from fraudulent IDs. Gives us a dashboard for tracking types of results, and notification options. We use this daily at multiple locations and there are multiple ways of having IDs scanned, including an option for cutomers to submit the ID before arriving. It's not particularly hard to get implemented, especially when using Enterprise, since I can create a settings profile on one machine and apply it to others. Support has been fairly responsive, and I usually get an initial response within hours if there is an issue. Improvements to stability and install/updates over the years as well as options to scan without having a computer have made this product much better over time. While the software is improving, running it on Windows computers instead of using the other opions will require more interaction for the admin. The most heavily used computers in our environment seem to have errors from time to time, but it's generally fixable by closing the errors and opening the software again, or rebooting. There have been some reporting glitches in the past, but they have worked with us to resolve these for us. I would say the most problematic thing for me has been that sometimes I have to reboot the computer before Paldin will recognize the scanner, or the fact that at present I have to contact support when moving software to a different computer. Still, I have seen substantial improvements in the software over the last few years, with a much better installer and easier updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
