What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

While MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is powerful and feature-rich, one area that can be challenging is its complexity, particularly for new users. "Data Integration Is Great, but the Overall Experience Needs Improvement"
2.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

Go to integrate data from n systems and happy about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

One of the biggest challenges with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is its steep learning curve, especially for developers who are new to API-led connectivity or integration platforms. Setting up and managing APIs, integrations, and deployment environments often requires significant training and experience. Licensing costs can also be high, making it difficult for smaller organizations to justify the investment. Additionally, debugging complex integrations and troubleshooting runtime issues can sometimes be time-consuming due to the number of components involved. While the platform offers extensive capabilities, the development process may feel more complex than necessary for simple integration use cases. Performance tuning and environment management can also require specialized knowledge. Finally, some users find the documentation overwhelming, with information spread across multiple resources, making it harder to quickly locate answers. Despite these drawbacks, MuleSoft remains a powerful integration platform with strong API management, reusable assets, and enterprise-grade capabilities, so the benefits often outweigh the challenges for organizations with complex integration needs. "Powerful Integration Tool with Ease of Use"
4/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

I like MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for its speed and agility, which allows my team to deliver integrations in an enterprise fashion. I also find it easy to use, enabling us to quickly deploy APIs at enterprise scale. The platform makes it quick to develop and create APIs. Additionally, I appreciate being able to review and monitor all of our APIs in one place on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

Setting up MuleSoft Anypoint Platform was initially challenging for us, and as the platform evolves, I feel they could improve the ability to review APIs at a code level. Also, as they integrate more with Nullsoft, it would be better if we didn’t need the specific MuleSoft IDE for development. Improving these aspects would make it easier to build simpler APIs. "All-in-One API Development and Integration Management Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

What I like most is having API development, integrations, monitoring, and management all in one platform. I also like how easy it is to reuse APIs and existing assets instead of building everything from scratch. It makes managing integrations across different systems a lot more organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

There’s a lot I like about the platform, but it does come with a learning curve. Some areas can feel more complex than they need to be, especially when managing environments, policies, or larger integrations. Cost can also be a consideration, but overall the platform is very capable once you get comfortable with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile and Efficient with Great Logging Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

I use a lot of features within MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, like the design center exchange, API manager, and runtime manager regularly in my software development life cycle. The enhanced version, Omni Gateway, is impressive with features that track API usage, helping me understand performance metrics. The AI options available are well-organized, and I'm impressed every day by them. The logging and monitoring features out of the box are fantastic for tracking messages consistently, even past logs, helping me identify transaction issues quickly. I like the platform's centralized nature to track all AI, LLM, MCP, and APIs in one place, making it easy for me to search for actively working and deployed entities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

I did encounter some learning curves with setting up the network rules and VPCs initially. However, it was not too complicated overall, and I actually enjoyed the process quite a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless API-Led Integration with Strong Monitoring, Security, and Governance"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

What I like most about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is how seamlessly it connects applications, data, and systems through a unified integration platform. It streamlines API development, management, and monitoring, which supports faster delivery of integrations and digital services. The reusable, API-led connectivity approach reduces development effort, improves scalability, and helps organizations move their digital transformation initiatives forward more quickly. I also value the platform’s monitoring, security, and governance capabilities, as they make it easier to manage integrations across both cloud and on-premises environments while maintaining reliability and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

While MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is a powerful option for API-led integration, it comes with a few notable challenges. Licensing and infrastructure costs can be high, which can be especially difficult for smaller organizations. There’s also a steep learning curve for new developers, since it requires familiarity with Mule flows, DataWeave, and core API management concepts. When integrations become complex, debugging can be time-consuming, and performance tuning may require specialized expertise. Additionally, organizations can become somewhat dependent on the MuleSoft ecosystem, which can make future migrations harder. Overall, the platform is robust, but the main drawbacks are cost, complexity, and the ongoing maintenance effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Integration, Little Complex"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

I use this platform very frequently. The AnyPoint Platform from MuleSoft has tons of connectors and tools for making integration super easy, whether on-site or in the cloud. Seriously, it is loaded with awesome features like reusable assets, solid API management, and monitoring built in-nice all rounded up into one big package for large integrations. That's cool, how easy it is to set up integration; it takes businesses in, gets them up and running fast without those crazy coding skills. Also, when customers encounter some issues, that will be pretty easy for them to reach Customer Support, which is superbly documented and in real quick response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

MuleSoft can be overwhelming for those without integration experience due to the steep learning curve, even though it is feature-rich. A bit expensive, this makes it a lot less accessible to smaller companies. For advanced use cases, extra customization and tuning is required, which once more diminishes the Low-Code/No-Code value in complex use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized, Reusable API Integrations That Simplify Connecting Salesforce to External Systems"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

What I like best about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is its ability to connect Salesforce with multiple external systems through APIs and integrations. It provides a centralized and reusable approach for managing integrations, which helps reduce point-to-point complexity and makes it easier to securely exchange data between different applications and platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?

I do not have any major concerns with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. One area that can sometimes be challenging is troubleshooting integration issues, as it may take time to identify the exact cause of a failure across different systems. Better visibility into errors and easier debugging would make the platform even more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
