What do you like best about monday CRM?
I’ll start by saying monday CRM has completely cleaned up the chaos I used to deal with daily as our Administrative Records Manager at Pinecrest Paper Group. We’re a small forest products business, so I handle everything from sales documentation, vendor coordination, production scheduling, to client follow-ups. Before monday CRM, all our forest product sales deals, vendor records, and client order details were scattered across messy Excel sheets, random desktop folders, and loose email threads. It was super easy to lose track of ongoing sales, pending vendor agreements, or follow-up tasks — and fixing those gaps wasted so much of my time.
My favorite thing about monday CRM is how it centralizes every sales and client-related workflow in one simple, visual board that’s easy for our whole team to follow. I don’t need to juggle multiple tools anymore, and it pairs really well with the file organization work I do on Egnyte. While Egnyte keeps all our official paperwork and forest product documents securely stored, monday CRM lets me actively track the progress behind every deal, vendor partnership, and client order.
I have a perfect real example from this quarter. We had multiple bulk lumber and pulp sales deals going on with three new regional vendors at the same time. Before using monday CRM, I would’ve logged all order details, delivery timelines, and pricing agreements in separate spreadsheets. It would’ve been tough to tell which deals were pending review, which needed client confirmation, and which were ready for production scheduling.
With monday CRM, I created a dedicated pipeline board for forest product sales. I customized the status columns to match our actual workflow — new inquiry, pricing negotiation, contract review, scheduled production, and completed delivery. I logged every client’s order specs, product types, delivery deadlines, and vendor contact info directly on each deal card. Whenever our sales team moved a deal forward, they updated the status in real time. I could instantly see which orders needed me to prepare official documents and back up files on Egnyte.
It also makes team coordination effortless. Our production and sales team can check the CRM anytime without messaging me repeatedly for updates. I no longer spend hours every week sending status updates or digging through old records to verify deal details. The automated reminder feature is another huge plus — it alerts me for pending contract follow-ups and upcoming delivery confirmations, so nothing slips through the cracks.
Overall, monday CRM makes my admin and records management work way more efficient. It bridges the gap between our stored company documents and active business workflows, cuts down repetitive manual tracking work, and keeps our forest product sales and vendor operations running smoothly every single day. What do you dislike about monday CRM?
There are a handful of frustrating limitations with monday CRM that slow me down, especially with how we pair it alongside Egnyte for our forest product documentation work at Pinecrest Paper Group. The biggest headache I run into is the clunky file linking setup between monday CRM and Egnyte. Even though both platforms work together in theory, attaching our large forest product sales contracts, vendor specification sheets and production paperwork never feels seamless. If I upload a document link from Egnyte to a CRM deal card, it sometimes breaks randomly, and team members end up hitting dead links when they try to pull up our official records. I’ve had to re-add the same file links over and over, which eats up time I should spend organizing our records.
I ran into this issue last month while handling three big lumber supply contracts. I added Egnyte links for each contract directly on their respective monday CRM deal cards, so our sales and production teams could quickly access the full agreements. A week later, when our production manager tried opening one of the spec files, the link no longer worked. I spent nearly two hours troubleshooting, re-copying permissions and reinserting every single document link for those deals. It was really disruptive, and we almost delayed a production check-in because the team couldn’t view the contract details right away.
Custom reporting also leaves a lot to be desired for our line of work. We track unique forest product metrics, like lumber order volumes, vendor lead times and pulp delivery schedules. The default report templates in monday CRM don’t match our workflow. Building custom reports means manually picking every single data field, and it gets complicated fast. When leadership asks for a quick summary of active vendor deals, I can’t just pull a ready-made report. I end up exporting raw data and finishing the report in Excel anyway.
