## Miro Reviews
  ### 1. Flawless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thabo B. | Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Miro is an easy-to-use collaboration tool. I use it to facilitate design thinking sprints, and while my learners’ levels of technological experience vary, Miro is still relatively straightforward for everyone to pick up and use.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

One of the most frustrating parts of my experience is the level of control it gives me. For example, when I give instructions or when someone is presenting, I want everyone to stop working and focus on me or on the presenter. However, even when I use the follow me button, I still see cursors moving around.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro mainly helps my team with collaboration. It’s also easy to integrate with apps like Google Meets, so it doesn’t feel like an isolated environment. As far as performance is concerned, the app itself is very fast to open and use, which makes it a good tool to have.

Overall, it benefits me because the team works more efficiently, and it doesn’t feel like it’s outside our Google atmosphere.

  ### 2. Intuitive Collaboration That Makes Workshops Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mugisha p. | Full Stack Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I like best about Miro is how it blends an intuitive interface with genuinely powerful collaboration. The infinite canvas, extensive template library, and smooth drag-and-drop experience make it easy to run brainstorming sessions, workshops, process mapping, and project planning without spending much time on setup. The platform feels thoughtfully designed, so even new users can get up to speed quickly and start contributing.

Real-time collaboration is where Miro really shines. Multiple participants can work on the same board at once using sticky notes, comments, voting, and other interactive features, which keeps meetings engaging and helps teams align faster. I’ve also found it to be reliable in practice, even when several people are actively working in the same space.

Miro integrates well with tools such as Jira, Slack, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, which makes it easier to connect visual collaboration to existing workflows instead of constantly switching between applications. The AI features have also become increasingly useful for organizing content, summarizing discussions, and speeding up brainstorming, saving time during workshops.

My onboarding experience was excellent, too. Through the Miro Ambassador program, I had access to structured onboarding courses and practical learning resources that helped me understand both the platform itself and best practices for facilitating collaborative sessions.

From a value perspective, Miro offers flexible pricing that can scale from individuals and small teams to large enterprises. The free plan is generous enough to explore the platform, while the paid plans unlock features such as unlimited boards, advanced collaboration tools, AI capabilities, and enterprise administration. For teams that rely on visual collaboration regularly, the productivity gains and time saved during planning and workshops can deliver a strong return on investment.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

While Miro is very powerful, very large and content-heavy boards can occasionally feel overwhelming to navigate and may experience slight performance slowdowns. New users can also need a little time to become familiar with all of the available features because the platform offers so much functionality.

Finally, some advanced features and AI capabilities are limited to higher-tier plans, so smaller teams may not have access to everything without upgrading.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro solves the challenge of keeping teams aligned when collaborating on ideas, projects, and planning. Instead of using several different tools, everyone can work together in one shared visual workspace, whether they are remote, hybrid, or in the office.

It has made brainstorming, workshop facilitation, and project planning much more efficient. Features like templates, real-time collaboration, and AI-assisted organization help reduce preparation time and keep meetings focused and engaging.

For me, the biggest benefit is better collaboration and faster decision-making. Teams can easily share ideas, give feedback, and organize information in one place, which improves communication and leads to more productive workshops and stronger outcomes.

  ### 3. Powerful, versatile, simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James B. | Lead Quality Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Simplicity - it's very easy to get up and running immediately, the interface is simple and intuitive enough to hit the ground running
Versatility - you can use it for nearly anything - presentations, virtual meetings, brainstorm sessions, marketing. It can be an easily navigable repository for project information. If you can imagine how something can be visually represented, Mira can do it
Collaboration - you have control of how collaborative your boards are. Full inclusion of others, view only, no access - you decide and you control it.
I use it daily, often one of the first apps I open each day, as it contains all my thoughts, notes, plans for my projects.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Occasionally if I get overzealous when navigating, the "select and drag" tool doesn't let go of the board, and I end up jumping to another section of the board. This is probably 99% my own error. If I release the mouse button before the mouse goes off screen, it doesn't happen. Like I said - it's when I'm overzealous navigating to another section of the board.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My primary benefit for it has been my ability to use Miro to clearly and simply represent the various aspects of projects.
I use it heavily for team problem solving, as well as for process optimization. I have used it to clarify key features of our products which facilitates clarity and ease of use for my downstream internal customers.
I have also used it to highlight process risks and mitigation of those risks (FMEA) in a way that allows a complex process and system to be grasped in a simple manner

  ### 4. Intuitive, Flexible Canvas for Brainstorming, Mapping, and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João C. | Product designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

An intuitive and flexible canvas that supports brainstorming, workshops, user journey mapping, process flows, wireframing, project planning, and team collaboration—all in a single environment. The only downsides are that large boards can occasionally become complex to manage, and some advanced features require paid plans.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Board scalability, performance on large projects, content management, and cost are all areas where there’s still room for improvement. For a UX/UI designer like me, the strengths generally outweigh the weaknesses, but those limitations become much more noticeable when you’re working on enterprise-scale projects. Basic features are easy to learn, advanced capabilities such as templates, automations, integrations, smart diagrams, and workshop facilitation can feel overwhelming for beginners.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real-time collaboration and team workshops are still the best features for me, and they help me be much more productive and fast. The AI features available also help me a lot by making it easier to organize, summarize, and get feedback quickly.

  ### 5. Infinite Canvas Bliss: Seamless Jira Sync and AI-Powered Diagrams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghu T. | Senior Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Miro is my go-to place for brainstorming: the infinite canvas is a standout feature and is easy for anyone on my team to pick up quickly. I love how it syncs seamlessly with other tools like Jira, turning our ideas into real tasks without any extra manual work. The new AI features are a great addition, enabling us to convert rough thoughts into polished architecture diagrams in seconds. We have also been using Miro as our go-to trainer when onboarding new team members to support and cover their KT sessions.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I really love Miro, but the canvas zoom can feel a bit erratic and messy when you are jumping between massive boards. Also, the AI helper sometimes misinterprets prompts and builds the wrong architecture diagrams entirely. I wish the AI would show a quick outline or ask a couple of clarifying questions first, rather than just guessing and generating a layout you have to undo.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro solves the chaos of disjointed teamwork by acting as a single visual hub where cross-functional teams can brainstorm, design solutions, and collaborate in real time. Instead of wasting time starting from scratch, ready-to-use templates let you jump straight into productive workshops. Its biggest benefit is instantly transforming abstract thoughts into concrete architecture diagrams, keeping product, design, and engineering perfectly aligned without endless meetings.

  ### 6. Miro Makes Real-Time Collaboration Fast, Organized, and Productive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aꜱᴍɪᴛ B. | PR Core Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I like most about Miro is how easy it makes collaboration. Whether I'm brainstorming ideas, planning projects, creating mind maps, or designing workflows, everyone can work together in real time. The intuitive interface, ready-made templates, sticky notes, and seamless integrations make teamwork faster, more organized, and more productive.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

While Miro is a powerful collaboration tool, it can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the large number of features. Boards can become cluttered during big projects, which makes navigation difficult. Additionally, some advanced features are restricted to paid plans, and performance may slow down when working on very large boards.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro solves the challenge of collaborating effectively with distributed teams by providing a shared visual workspace. It helps me organize ideas, brainstorm, create flowcharts, plan projects, and track progress in one place. This improves communication, reduces confusion, and saves time since everyone can contribute and stay aligned in real time.

  ### 7. Infinite Canvas and Templates Make Daily Collaboration Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxim A. | Chief Information Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

As an aside, since I am getting off work today and might be a bit short; the one tool i really use each and every day is the infinite canvas. As absurd as that may seem, once you've "hit the wall" in another tool and the sticky note experience feels like sticky notes again. I'm able to drag those around and allow conversation to occur without having to "take turns." the template feature allows me to avoid spending 10 minutes coming up with a layout design. I simply grab a template for either a retrospective or roadmap and continue.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The only real problem i see right now is that the free version limits you to only three boards that you can edit. That makes it difficult to encourage your team to even attempt using the software prior to purchasing something. as soon as multiple users start creating a lot of stickies in a brainstorm session, things quickly become cluttered on the board, making navigation to a particular area of the board a chore. A small annoyance, i will occasionally be signed out of my account for unknown reasons in the middle of a meeting, requiring me to log back into the application.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Essentially it takes care of the problem of having too many different groups brainstorming simultaneously and not being able to collaborate effectively. We were previously using screen share type brainstorming sessions. Someone would be speaking, while the rest of the group was just watching. Now, each person can input their own thoughts onto the board at the same time. Also, since it provides a visual roadmap/planning tool versus storing these items within documents that rarely get read by anyone, this helps greatly with getting your team aligned rapidly.

  ### 8. A perfect tool for visual collaboration and teamwork

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Júlia B. | Senior Brand Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I like most about Miro is how easy it is to collaborate with others in real time. It is a very visual tool that allows organizing ideas, processes, and projects in a quite intuitive way. I use it a lot for brainstorming sessions, workshops, and project planning, and I have always found it very useful to have all the information in a single shared space. Additionally, the number of available templates helps to start working quickly without having to build everything from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

What I like least is that some boards can become difficult to manage when they contain a lot of information or when many people are participating at the same time. I have also noticed that some more advanced features require a small adaptation period and that some interesting options are only available in higher plans.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helps to centralize visual collaboration, something especially useful when teams work remotely or are spread across different locations. In my case, it allows me to organize ideas, document processes, and conduct collaborative work dynamics without the need to use several different tools. This makes meetings more productive and ensures that information is better structured and accessible to everyone.

  ### 9. Flexible Visual Collaboration That Makes Remote Workshops Feel In-Person

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sundeep G. | Senior Quality Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

1. Flexibility Without Too Much Structure

Miro lets teams start with a blank canvas and work however they want.

You can use it for:

Brainstorming
User journey mapping
Product roadmaps
Architecture diagrams
Retrospectives
Strategy workshops

Many tools force users into a specific workflow; Miro is flexible enough to adapt to different teams.

2. Excellent for Distributed Teams

One of Miro's biggest advantages is making remote collaboration feel more interactive.

Features like:

Real-time cursors
Sticky notes
Voting sessions
Facilitation tools

help recreate some of the energy of an in-person workshop.

3. Visual Thinking at Scale

Many collaboration tools are optimized for text. Miro is optimized for visual thinking.

It's often easier to understand:

Complex systems
Customer journeys
Team dependencies
Product strategies

when you can see everything on a single canvas.

4. Strong Workshop Facilitation

For product managers, designers, consultants, and agile coaches, Miro includes many useful facilitation features:

Timers
Voting
Templates
Presentation mode
Breakout activities

These features reduce the effort required to run large workshops.

5. Rich Template Ecosystem

Miro has built a large collection of templates covering:

Agile practices
Design thinking
Product discovery
Strategic planning
Engineering workflows

This helps teams get started quickly instead of building boards from scratch.

6. Integrations With Other Work Tools

Miro works alongside tools such as:

Jira
Slack
Zoom Workplace
Microsoft Teams

This makes it easier to connect brainstorming and planning activities with execution tools.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

1. Large Boards Can Become Unmanageable

The same infinite canvas that makes Miro powerful can also become a problem.

Over time, boards can:

Grow to thousands of objects
Become difficult to navigate
Accumulate outdated content
Turn into visual clutter

Teams often need active maintenance and governance to keep boards useful.

2. Performance on Very Large Canvases

When boards become extremely large or contain many images, embedded documents, and diagrams, performance can suffer.

Users may experience:

Slower loading
Lag while zooming or panning
Reduced responsiveness on less powerful devices
3. Weak Knowledge Management

Miro is great for ideation, but less effective as a long-term knowledge repository.

A common pattern is:

Workshop happens in Miro.
Decisions are made.
Teams move execution to Jira, Confluence, Notion, or other tools.

Months later, it can be difficult to understand which parts of a board are still relevant.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Making Ideas Visible

Problem: Ideas discussed in meetings are often trapped in conversations, documents, or people's heads.

How Miro helps:

Teams can visualize ideas with diagrams, sticky notes, maps, and frameworks.
Everyone can see relationships and dependencies in one place.

Benefit:
Complex discussions become easier to understand and align around.

2. Remote Collaboration

Problem: Distributed teams can't gather around a physical whiteboard.

How Miro helps:

Multiple people can contribute simultaneously.
Real-time collaboration creates a shared workspace regardless of location.

Benefit:
Remote and hybrid teams can brainstorm, plan, and facilitate workshops more effectively.

3. Organizing Ambiguous Problems

Problem: Early-stage projects often involve uncertainty, conflicting ideas, and incomplete information.

How Miro helps:

Teams can map customer journeys, processes, systems, and opportunities visually.
Information can be grouped, rearranged, and refined as understanding evolves.

Benefit:
Teams can move from ambiguity toward clarity faster.

  ### 10. Effortless Real-Time Collaboration for Brainstorming and Moodboards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick G. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Co creaWhat I like most about Miro is how easy it makes collaboration. Whether I'm working with colleagues or clients, it provides a shared visual workspace where we can brainstorm ideas, build moodboards, and review concepts together in real time. It helps keep discussions organized and makes creative collaboration much more efficient and engaging.ting with coworkers and clients.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

One area that could be improved is performance on larger boards. When a project contains a lot of assets, comments, and references, navigation can sometimes feel a bit slower. Aside from that, my overall experience with Miro has been very positive.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helps solve the challenge of keeping creative collaboration organized and accessible. Instead of ideas, references, feedback, and moodboards being spread across different tools and conversations, everything can be gathered in one shared space. This makes it easier to align with colleagues and clients, review work together, and move projects forward more efficiently.
