**What do you like best about Miro?**

I really like how Miro facilitates project communication with other team members. It also gives me a better visualization of pending tasks and helps maintain clear progress, in addition to being easy to visualize and work with. I highly value being able to create diagrams, tables, and timelines directly in Miro, which allows us to see how we can reach the final result with bi-weekly work. The initial setup was easy, although I feel that I still haven't fully exploited all the capabilities of the system.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes there are very large boards that, besides being slow, make it difficult to find something specific on them.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro allows me to store team information, visualize tasks and progress easily, which speeds up the work. It facilitates project communication and the creation of diagrams, helping to achieve finalized results in bi-weekly tasks.

The collaboration aspect. The fact that for us designers this is an infite space where everyone can share ideas and comment on design

It can become very messy - sometimes i feel that i need google maps to navigate a board. The infinit aspect of it it's super good, but also creates this problem. Once you lost control over a board, it's gone - no one will ever clean it or save it

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, it is that invite space for us as designers. We are visual people and we do like to see and express ourselves thorough the power of images and models. For this MIRO is excellent - we can bring our design in regardless to the file type, size...etc. Also with latest integrations with Design Applications it makes it easier to bring more into Miro

The option to collaborate during virtual trainings - the freedom, the interactiveness and the easy access to relevant tools/gadgets on the side

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

It's really challenging to keep all the elements consistent when boards need to be duplicated - the zoom changes, the elements break, some objects become gigantic (but only to some users, not to all), so it's sometimes very difficult to even tell where the issue is coming from and how to fix it.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't think of any. I remember there was the option to remove backgrounds on Miro and it got removed which I personally miss.

I love the option of having different chart models, because it makes it easier to bring ideas and structures to my charts.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

In the free versions, there is a limitation on the number of frames. Additionally, it becomes very heavy with more complex graphics, which ends up overloading the PC or the browser.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me express my ideas and structure them in a way that I can analyze whether they are functional or not. Additionally, it has integrations with various other software, which makes the whole experience better.

The easy is to create diagrams and brainstormings, the tools to be found are intuitive and useful to do so, even the pre-populated templates helps a lot to not start from the scratch

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The table feature has a particular bug that after a while their functionalities got completely limitated

It would be grate if Miro has some rule grids and snapping, cause sometimes is difficult while building diagrams, such as grouping some elements, whenever you need to scale I have identified another bug

A calendar plug-in would be great as well

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To ease the comunication between peers and internal flows, for product development is very useful to set up and draft ideas, explore concepts and initial drafts on wireframes even

What I like most about Miro is how easy it makes working with others. It feels like a shared whiteboard where everyone can jump in, move things around, and build ideas together in real time. The endless canvas and ready-made templates make it simple to go from a messy brainstorm to something actually useful.

One small drawback of Miro is that boards can become a bit cluttered if they grow too large, which can make navigation slightly tricky. It can also feel a little slow on very complex boards or older devices, some useful features are only available in the paid plans, which might be a limitation for some users.

Miro solves the problem of working together when people aren’t in the same place. Instead of long messages or scattered ideas, everything is in one shared space. **What do you like best about Miro?**

I really like that Miro is super collaborative. I can share it with anyone and people across the organization can find the stuff I've created, which is awesome. I like how easy it is to get started with Miro. There's no setup needed; you just log in, choose a template, and it just works. I appreciate that it feels like a digital whiteboard or corkboard, making it easier to model processes than anywhere else. Plus, Miro's auto snap feature and the way it handles framing of swim lanes and the naming of things are top notch, probably second best on the market. Overall, I think Miro's collaborative features make it an excellent tool for bringing ideas to life.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

If I can be very frank, the BPM modeling is not that great. I'm used to Visio, yEd, Bizagi, and Draw.io. I think there can definitely be some improvements. The framing of the swim lanes and the naming of things could be better.

I can model processes easily with Miro, acting like a digital whiteboard. It's super collaborative, allowing me to share and work across the organization seamlessly.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I like most about Miro is how flexible and intuitive the canvas is for both individual thinking and team collaboration. The drag-and-drop interface makes it very fast to sketch ideas, organize workflows, or build complex diagrams without feeling restricted. It genuinely speeds up brainstorming sessions, especially when working with remote teams, because everyone can contribute in real time and see changes instantly.

From a UI/UX perspective, it strikes a good balance between simplicity and depth. It’s easy to get started, but still powerful enough for advanced use cases like product planning, mind mapping, or design reviews. The navigation and zooming feel smooth, even on large boards, which is critical for heavy usage.

Integrations are another strong point. Being able to connect Miro with tools like Slack, Jira, or Google Drive makes it fit naturally into an existing pipeline instead of feeling like an isolated tool. This helps reduce context switching and keeps everything more organized.

Performance is generally solid. Even with large boards and multiple collaborators, it remains responsive most of the time. There can be occasional slowdowns on extremely heavy boards, but overall it handles scale better than most similar tools.

While Miro is a powerful tool, there are a few areas that could be improved. The UI/UX, although generally intuitive, can start to feel cluttered when working on very large or complex boards. Finding specific elements or navigating dense canvases sometimes becomes inefficient, especially without stricter organizational tools.

Integrations are useful, but they’re not always as seamless as expected. For example, syncing with tools like Jira can feel limited or require extra manual steps, which reduces the benefit of having everything connected in one workflow.

Performance can also become an issue on heavier projects. Large boards with many assets and collaborators occasionally introduce lag, slow zooming, or delayed interactions, which can disrupt the flow during live collaboration sessions.

In terms of pricing, while it offers good value for teams that use it heavily, it can feel expensive for smaller teams or individual users, especially since some essential features are locked behind higher tiers. This can limit accessibility for freelancers or smaller studios.

For me, the biggest benefit is clarity and speed. Complex ideas, workflows, or systems are much easier to understand when they’re visualized. It helps align everyone quickly, especially in team discussions where different people think in different ways. Rather than explaining things multiple times, I can just build it on the board and iterate together.

It also significantly improves collaboration. Whether it’s brainstorming, giving feedback, or planning tasks, everyone can contribute simultaneously, which reduces back-and-forth and shortens decision-making time. This is especially valuable when working with remote teams.

Another key benefit is workflow efficiency. I can go from rough ideas to structured plans in the same space without switching tools. This reduces friction and keeps everything centralized, which saves time and keeps projects more organized.

I like how Miro allows us to plan content for our application and manage meeting agendas in one place. It simplifies storing and editing information, as everything is centralized. The ability to insert screenshots and integrate with tools like Google Sheets is handy because I can easily explain things by adding screenshots and notes. I can even edit or search through Google Sheets directly from Miro. The planning features and templates are straightforward, and we have many tools linked with Miro, including Slack. Switching to Miro brought us more features, and it's much easier to use. Setting it up was super easy; it just started working well.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Only one thing - the integration with Asana - when I want to see the Miro from Asana, I cannot log in through the app, I have to open the browser.

I use Miro to plan application content and manage meeting agendas. It keeps all information in one place for easy access and editing. Features like screenshot insertion and integration with Google Sheets simplify explanations and direct data manipulation.

I really like that they have tools to create different types of diagrams, such as concept maps, synoptic charts, mind maps, flowcharts, KanBan diagrams, etc.

There are limitations for editing boards when using the free version, something I believe should not happen. I also don't like that it doesn't include additional content, such as icons or images, to complement the boards. The AI is very limited, although it is useful.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I really like the ability to collaborate with other students when it comes to studying for certain upcoming exams. We use the collaborative features to bring together study concepts and ways to memorize content for exams. The UI is very friendly for anyone to start learning. The integration of Google Drive documents makes sharing valuable data gathered in labs on the board. The website performs well and fast over all devices. Pricing for students is fair with a free trial for 2 years. I haven't had to reach out to customer support yet, but doing so seems encouraged and an easy process. The AI integrations are nice as they keep up with the times, but they honestly aren't all that helpful.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The AI integration isn't very good. The timelines are also very basic. A lot of the features you can add on a board turn out to be pretty limited, and I wish they were updated with more features. Also using Miro as a student instead of using it as a company is kinda tricky, and I wish there was a more student friendly UI that treats the user as a introspective learner instead of a business.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like Miro because it helps me organize my thoughts and makes it easy to collaborate and share with others. I love the tools Miro offers, especially finding 'post-its' useful for jotting down quick notes or tasks. The ability to make my work look visually appealing with various format options, including shapes and frames, is a big plus for me. The initial setup of Miro was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Some of the resizing things can be annoying, like if I make a frame smaller but the text size stays the same. Or sometimes I want to use Miro for adding long text which gets cut off. The free version of Miro is annoying when I only have access to 3 boards at a time, but I can't afford the paid version right now. I tried the prototyping a while ago, which was really cool, but I don't think I have access to that now.

I find Miro is a visual way to map out my thinking, helping me organize my thoughts and bring others along on my journey.

I love how Miro allows for asynchronous collaboration with my peers and professor, which is essential on days we aren't in person as well as during class discussions when visual aids are needed. I also love the ability to upload PDFs easily, as most of my content is in PDF form and not very compatible with other software. It saves me the hassle of having to take screenshots and upload images separately.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The drawing features can be a little clunky, as well as some of the text options. There's a need for a better delineation between post-its and text, as well as a smoothing feature on drawing tools.

I use Miro for asynchronous collaboration with my peers and professor, even outside class, enhancing discussions with visual aids. Also, it lets me upload PDFs easily without converting them into images.

the way teams can collaborate in one place, conduct workshops and now i like and have been testing creating user flows and prototypes within the board, using the sidekick AI have been really helpful, i like how it integrates with Jira  and other integrations

it is hard to start sometimes with the blank board and finding what templates to use can be overwhelming, performance on the AI features is sometimes very slow

Real-time design collaboration. Perfect. I embed Jira tickets directly into our technical roadmap board using the Jira integration. When a ticket is marked "In Progress," the embed updates in real-time. This saves ~2 hours per week that we used to spend manually updating static roadmap slides.

Text formatting options are limited—no markdown support, which would help with code snippets in diagrams

The infinite canvas itself became an asynchronous communication tool. Engineers update the diagram async, and the timestamp history lets us see when decisions were made.

I love Miro's intuitive format, which makes it very easy to set up. I also appreciate the various templates, which are well-thought-out and ready to use. These templates are a real time saver since I don't have to create anything from scratch. It helps me clarify the design and facilitates brainstorming. It's also helpful for getting stakeholders to contribute their ideas without needing to hold meetings.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I often feel frustrated when I need to type long texts into Miro. It has limited characters and formatting. I wish it embeds a bit of Word element, or Notion kind of format, easy to create header or insert pages, etc. I would like to be able to create header, color code, or add code block or insert image as document, but it has so much limitation if I was to do that.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro to mock-up projects as an informal 'sign off' before diving into content creation. It helps me clarify designs and makes brainstorming easier, often skipping meetings by having stakeholders contribute directly.

While the Figma integration is useful, I like how Miro has a more robust organizational structure. I've also experimented with using the AI tool to summarize sticky notes, and found it surprisingly useful in getting a clean picture out of messy data. I also think the templates in Miro are a bit more useful than what I can find in Figjam, and I personally have not had any issues with performance or lagging.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

As a designer, the thing I dislike about Miro definitely would be the lack of customization when it comes to the visual aesthetic. I understand the need for simplicity, but at the same time I would feel much more compelled to use it if I could create a visually beautiful document — this could mean allowing users to use hex codes/color wheel to pick their stickies colors, having more font options or font size options beyond small, medium, etc.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is an inherent value in spatial thinking and reasoning that is often lost in modern collaborative software, and I think that is the main area Miro solves for. It is definitely most valuable during early-phase project work — the ambiguous stretch where you're moving between research synthesis and direction-setting and nothing has a fixed form yet. Having a shared surface where I can cluster interview quotes next to emerging patterns next to rough flow sketches means the thinking stays connected rather than fragmenting across Google Docs, Figma files, and Slack threads.

I really like the new AI features that allow you to just describe what you wanna do or add documents, and it will build a diagram for you, which then becomes editable, which is so convenient. The main benefit is that I used to have workarounds to create diagrams with complex tables, but now I can just take briefs from my customers, whether it's a document or a Google Sheet, give some context on how my platform works, and Miro will build very complex diagrams in no time. This feature saves hours and provides a much clearer view for my customers. It's also convenient that these diagrams can be edited in the future if we choose to change their structure.

I think the onboarding part is a bit longer to understand than I planned. It took me longer than I expected to become proficient. Note, I onboarded before the AI features were available. I thought it would be more user-friendly to get to advanced features.

It's a bit of a nightmare in terms of the different scales of information. It would be fantastic if there was a quick tool to have everything scaled to a similar level of legibility. Sometimes, when you put something on, you have to scale it yourself, and it's obsolete at times. There's a need for a way to easily scale everything to have the same legibility, like based on font size. This would help in prioritizing and de-prioritizing things, ensuring clear legibility across the board. Particularly, it would be useful for images. Text-based elements need to have consistent size. I didn't find the AI tool in Miro entirely intuitive yet for what I'm looking for.

Being the chief engineer of a team of 80 people with many different projects is a lot to manage, but thanks to Miro, I have been able to keep all the discussions, plans, thoughts, and goals organized. It's helped a ton this season! I love the open infinite whiteboard space because I can write notes in the moment and then come back later to organize them. It's also great that I can move things aside when I no longer need them or move them to a different section. Plus, its collaborative nature is awesome, allowing other leaders and team members to work on it. Collaboration is key for my team, and Miro being such a collaborative-friendly workspace really helps. The whiteboard space is so big, it never gets cluttered but still efficiently stores a whole season's worth of notes and plans. The initial setup of Miro was easy, and once learned, it was pretty simple to implement and get used to. I love Miro and it has helped me manage so much this season.

Nothing major TBH. If anything, make the sticky notes more transparent and offer a way to organize different color palettes. For shapes, you can change color AND control transparency, which is really nice. But for sticky notes, you can control color but not transparency, which can be really annoying. As for color palettes, I wish you provided different palette choices and let users make their own palettes and save them.

Miro is incredibly easy to use, intuitive, and straightforward. I drag and drop the post it notes across the board and they go where I put them, and are simple to duplicate and string together with arrows. It doesn't lag, it's fast and reliable. 

I can share the board with colleagues, and select a section of the board to land on when they arrive. 

To get started with it, I was just handed a board and started pulling items from the left pane, it was very simple to learn.

I'd like to be able to set the default of the arrows to a different width/style, maybe you can but it's not obvious to set it.

Miro allows me to visually display processes in a readable and editable way. Before I was using UMLet, which just antagonised me greatly as things did not work the way they were supposed to. Even things as simple as dragging and dropping didn't work correctly, but with Miro they do. It just works. This saves time and energy.

Also, the visual design and execution have some gaps. There could be integrations with automation tools, especially for QA. Performance is another issue, particularly when too many users, like during PI planning with seventy or eighty people, are working concurrently—the performance drops a lot. A lightweight mode for large sessions could help. Governance can also be an issue, as too many sticky notes can become messy.

I love how intuitive Miro is. It's clean and simple to use, making it very easy to pick up with no sharp learning curve. I find that even people unfamiliar with Miro can quickly get accustomed to it, especially when starting a workshop. It helps meet the need to move fast without getting caught down in the details. I also love the integrations and the great range of templates, which assist in starting workshop ideas when I lack a starting point. It's particularly effective during quarterly planning, handling many people simultaneously. The ability to visualize things across different platforms due to its integrations is a big plus for me. It really stands out in its seamless workflow, making it a better experience for running workshops.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes the integrations can be a little bit funny. I do also find some of the additional features like the timeline quite rigid. They're not as flexible as I would like. Some of the out-of-the-box features can be a bit brittle or not quite work as intended.

Amazing features, with plenty of room to be creative, and the pre-made templates are truly worth it. It’s a great fit for product managers and product teams. created some amazing UI feedback templates and dev team retros

I can’t create custom components; for example, the tables don’t work like an Excel table. It’s also hard to support offline collaboration, because it was difficult for people across the organisation to use and navigate the boards.

It was hard to visualise the problem or run sessions with stakeholders to fully understand the business issue, and to share some creative documents with users.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro for pre-production in animation, where it keeps everything in one place and balances organization, writing, and visual tools to explore all aspects of the production. I love that you can explore different aspects simultaneously with different people, which creates a sense of co-authorship and allows anyone to have input at any point. It's like an infinite studio whiteboard that helps keep everyone on the same page. Having everyone access the same information is really valuable. It also supports preemptive problem-solving while retaining creative decisions, and everyone having an understanding or awareness of each other and core goals makes everything smoother. The initial setup of Miro was very easy, and even though some members have trouble navigating the boards, it's more about their effort to learn it. Overall, I'm likely to recommend it to a friend or colleague, rating it a 10.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I use the free version for personal work, and many of the instances where I think it could be improved are probably solved by the paid version. I think it would be used more if we could use different aspects of the boards separately. For instance, the gantt charts work great, and it would be nice to be able to export these or send a link of them to a client where they can access and see solely the gantt chart as it is updated and modified, without showing them the entire boards and the inner logic of how everything works. Sometimes the boards might be used to explore technical information we don't want to share, and sometimes it's just a large amount of information that might overwhelm them. So having the ability to just send the gantt chart as a link, where it is still connected and updates would be amazing. The same might be said for locking frames to only specific users, for example if we have freelancers in, we might not want for them to have access to information under an NDA. But we may still want to let them access anything they may need to. though I would say I prefer everything to be open, It may just be a nice feature
