Where I work is a Microsoft "Shop", co-pilot works well to help resolve issues within the MS environment. It has the ability to manage some items when I login, it easily finds "things" when Microsoft makes changes to the environment and its tools. You have to be careful of hallucinations, it may take a few prompts to get the best answers. You do have to have some sort of insight to the issue you are attempting to solve. It’s good at searching Outlook mail because we use Outlook and it’s linked together. I also tend to use it to edit my text and polish what I write. Sometimes I give it files and ask it to answer my questions based on those documents, and it does that very well. It makes my job easier, and I use it every day. I’m glad to have it. One of the most annoying things I often face with Copilot is that it gives me an Excel file, or sometimes a Word file, that is empty. When I tell it the file is empty and ask it to fix it, it doesn’t seem to understand and just gives me another empty file again and again. As a QA/Production Supervisor and Administrative Law Documentation Specialist, I genuinely find very little to dislike about Microsoft Copilot. It sometimes glitches and doesn’t perform the exact activity I ask for. For example, when I ask it to convert a given process into a document, the document it generates is sometimes not exactly in line with what I requested it to convert. It tends to shorten the content and usually tries to create a one-page document. I often need multiple prompts to get the output document in the format and level of detail I’m expecting. It can be integrated into work documents and helps with reviewing, rephrasing, and proofreading, which is great. It can also generate new documents for you if you provide the right prompt, and then it suggests a few different options to choose from. There are some limitations with 365 Pilot, especially around formatting. When I submit a document to Copilot for updates, it ends up messing up the formatting in the Word and Excel files I’ve submitted.
