The ease of use and the total integration with QuickBooks Online software

Not being able to automatically with 1 or 2 clicks copy/add contacts back and forth between Method contacts and Outlook contacts.  This should be an easy feature that EVERYONE would be able to use.

If you are looking for the most integration between your CRM and QuickBooks, this is the software for your business.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of getting quotes to customers and not having to retype anything from Method to QuickBooks to run the orders including purchase orders and invoices.

It is intuitive. All of our sales reps prefer Method over other programs that we have tried.

I wish the emails were better designed. If they were, I wouldn't have to use mailchimp. The emails are generic.

Method CRM helps to provide access to a database where we can add leads, vendors and customers which makes the work easy while grabbing the customer to the system. Gmail and various integrations help to keep track of all customer interactions. Percentage in opportunities is a great help for further steps.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

Customization can be made simple for use like an easier way to enter leads and customers. Screen changing is also difficult. The no of reports built in this CRM is less, can be enhanced to build more reports.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Method CRM is used to prepare reports for the analysis of the job application in our project. Used to keep track of customers' information and email campaigns.It helped in making estimations and proposals more professionally.

Method has a no-code solution for customizers to use, but you can learn it too! Also the REST API is a great resource to have.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

The customizations could be better documented so that we don't have to depend on customizers so much. Although this is a small issue because having customization services outsourced helps tremendously.

**Recommendations to others considering Method CRM:**

Method is a no-brainer for anyone using Quickbooks Desktop.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives me a dependable, easy-to-use way to sync to Quickbooks Enterprise. Quickbooks Desktop does not have a web api like QB Online, so Method serves as my middleman. I query and sync items using the method REST API.

**What do you like best about Method CRM?**

What I appreciate most about Method: CRM is the quick and easy Quick Books Two Way Sync Seamless integration, The Beautiful Customization Features, and the Excellent Customer Service. Methods Two Way Sync makes it easy and efficient to input data and has it flawless transfer between the two. Tracking leads, customers, vendors, and contacts has never been easier. Customization has to be one of my favorite features as I can make this software solution solve, fit or suit any need that I have as my business grows and transforms. And the customer service, the care, the training, and the help  I receive every time I ask a question is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

There is honestly nothing to not like about Method: CRM, if I had to choose anything it would be the learning curve that is just slight, and the lack of industry-specific templates that I think would be beneficial to most people.

Do the customization, its worth it.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving a multitude of problems with Method. From employee tracking, customer portal, and digitizing payments. Saving time on double data entry. Its creates organization in our systems and infrastructure. To keep tracking of customer needs, work orders, employee time, activities, and assignments and has almost complete ridden us of all paper trail.

The sync with Quickbooks needs to happen at a specific computer for our organization. If the system could sync to Quickbooks somehow web-based or offline, that would be helpful.

Hands down the best system I have ever used for customer tracking and lead progression. It tells you everything you need to know with a simple click and my whole team can use it!

So far I am liking every aspect and intergration. The only wish would be for it to auto connect to phone calls somehow so that you can see notes when someone calls in... but we all have dreams. Maybe one day they will intigrate something like this.

We are certiainly optimizing our lead organization, we are all able to see the history of each customer contact, and there is better review and followthrough aspects.

We would like a better backup system to include versions for when we are changing Method code.

It is user-friendly, outlook compatible for quick activity/task assignment, aligned with Quickbooks for one-click integration, efficient and effective for tracking and creating new sales. By far the best customer support out there!

In all honesty not much, the estimate/quotation print layout customization is complex, but with the membership you are provided a 1-hour customer support assistance for this issue.

Do not look further.  I have used several CRMs in the past and this one just does it.  It is straight, simple and helps you accomplishes what needs to be done

From a Sales perspective, there are lots of convienent tools. From email templates, activity reminders, mobile app and more. You'll always be pro-active with your leads and customer base.

Self customization is difficult and time for Method support to do it can get expensive.

The connection/integration with my bookkeeping software (Quickbooks Online). Method's customer service team is pretty helpful. They do offer consulting as well.

Customizations are little difficult to make, but it's not impossible.  :)   Also, the visual appeal of the system itself isn't really amazing. Not a deal-breaker

Take advantage of the free one hour consulting call and be ready with detailed information regarding what you want to customize.

I currently use Method:CRM as a CRM for my freelancing business. It helps me keep track of prospect and client interactions, it connects to Quickbooks Online, and it helps with documentation management with my clients. It helps with visualizing the sales pipeline and there's even a portal for my clients to view their estimates, invoices, receipts, and more!

Fully customizable CRM solution that's much more affordable than the competitors. Easy integration with Quickbooks.

If you require significant customization after the initial setup you may need to pay for consultation, but I've found the free support staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful.

If you don't need all the bells and whistles of Salesforce then Method CRM is a great option.

CRM Solution for digital sales, integrated with Quickbooks. Significantly reduced our CRM expenses when switching from another top competitor.

**What do you like best about Method CRM?**

I had a hard time coming up with something to put here, but the thing I like best is probably one of the most basic features... a primary key they call the Opportunity Number. As a Project Manager, I use this number throughout the project in all documents. This is by no means unique to a CRM, so...

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

Method is not my favorite CRM by any means. It's clunky and the UI is not friendly. The Side Bar for Gmail is useless. The MailChimp connection exists... Right now I am tagging  via an import / and export process which leaves much to be desired. There is no option (which I am aware of) to connect inboxes, so I am duplicating my efforts to notate all work.

**Recommendations to others considering Method CRM:**

I recommend thinking about: the ease of use you are seeking; if you want to duplicate your efforts or utilize an integration to capture you existing workflow so that others can reference those actions later; the type of interface you want to engage with daily; and what kinds of connections with other programs like email providers or accounting services (Ex: Mailchimp or Quickbooks, etc). All of these factors can play a role into the type of CRM that ir right for you.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haveing a CRM is ideal and nice. Having a field for "Next Steps" is nice, but having to enter the last activity on one screen and then enter the next step on a totally different screen completely eliminates any sense of streamlining a process and wastes time. In a sense this CRM gets the team on the same page, but not after wasting a ton of clicks and time.

I'm constantly impressed by how much can be customized to fit my needs and help me work smarter, not harder. Also, the integrations with payment solutions, Quickbooks and Outlook or GMAIL is great for lead and sales tracking.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

Like many online solutions, it can sometimes seem sluggish, have service outages and make me miss my locally installed applications. But that's a problem with working in the cloud generally.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes time and forethought to maximize its potential, but I can see the value in my bottom line. I'm handling twice the volume of sales with almost the same number of staff because it's giving my customers a self-service option. Integration with QuickBooks and Outlook was my original problem-to-be-solved but it's helped in so many other ways.

It seems like all data does not always transfer during integration, and I don't like that it does not allow for customized auto numbering and sometimes does not retain signatures on the invoices.

The system does need to be more user-friendly concerning the customer making adjustments and changes to fit their business.  As of now, it's quite costly and a bit overwhelming to make any tweaks or changes that better work with the individual company.

The benefit would be that it can be used on multiple platforms; however, I wish that the iPad and iPhone software was as expansive as the computer version.  There are quite a few limitations that I find using the iPad/iPhone version, and we have techs in the field who use both. It should be the same across the board. That would make things much more manageable.

**What do you like best about Method CRM?**

With the various apps that you can add-on to this CRM seems to cover everything we need - customer & leads estimates/sales process, web-to-lead link from our website and support for customers.  One of the significant factors was working with Quickbooks Desktop enterprise (we use the manufacturing module).  The system works quickly and has a nice modern layout that is easy to customize and re-arrange.  It's got a lot of customization options for each section and process but also looking forward to working with their design team on additional customization that's included.  Method will be extremely helpful in getting our team on the same page on leads and the status of pending orders plus keeping track of our support cases which right now is managed in excel.  This is going to be really great for our employees to have access on mobile or online and out of Quickbooks.  Their documentation and how-to help center answers most questions.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

Our Outlook can't be connected to the Method CRM (has to have exchange type service) because we use Gmail for our service provider, we can do it through gmail online but its a whole process change  - -this is important because it's an easy way to import communication into MethodCRM for leads and customers.  I am still figuring out the settings for when notifications are being sent to the customer, cases I think always emails which I would like to turn off for some things (entering old case history for example).  We are also using texting with customers (WhatsApp) alot more and looking for them to add some support for importing this into customer information but not able to do right now.  Since I have never implemented, the documentation on the process seems lacking (same for all the others too), I get step by step instructions but a general guide/flow chart on how/why to use certain features and in what order would be nice.

Moving away from excel spreadsheets and delays in communication between the team regarding potential sales, sales updates and customer support.  This is very important as our client base grows to be able to manage and keep track of customer and leads so we don't miss out on opportunities.

It has a nice appearance for customers who want to log in to the port and view transactions and pay invoices.  It works OK for that.  The representative who customizes the software was very knowledgeable and genuinely cared about making the software work for me, but in the end, this is what kept me hanging on to something that would never work.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

I spent several thousand dollars trying to implement this, I probably had a total of 12 hours trying to customize the system so that I could write quotes and send invoices with it, but it was obviously not going to work once my service writer decided the new job position wasn’t for him.  Luckily I switched him over to just using QuickBooks desktop and he changed his mind.  You could probably use this platform for writing quotes if they are limited to 1-10 line items.  Also, if you are doing any progress invoicing or invoicing based on actual time and expenses, the invoice will have to be created in QuickBooks, and then synced with method.  

Method also does not sync automatically, which I was led to believe that it did.  The sync engine also apparently will not work in a server environment.  

The activities app just doesn't make any sense.  It's kind of like recording an email of an email, but if there is a chain of emails, you can only see that last one in the chain, instead of all of them.  Probably good for recording details of a phone call or direct meeting with a customer, but the app for recording activities, contacts, and opportunities is too cumbersome to use while on the phone or in a meeting.  How is someone supposed to complete the new contact, then make the opportunity, then record the activity all in one quick meeting with a customer?

If you want jobs to show up hierarchically with customers, you have to pay them $200 extra to "create" this app called companies, then they just switch it on for you.  This should be built into the system because it is supposed to properly sync with QuickBooks.  

I was led to believe that it accepted Quickbooks payments, but it only works with Quickbooks payments for Quickbooks online.  I even opened an Authorize.net account just to use this, but Authorize.net deems it necessary to keep all of your revenue for 5 business days, which is absolutely insane.     

Most of what you have to pay them to cusotmize in the app should be included in the software.  For example, I had to pay money to be able to add a line item into an estimate.  YOU CANNOT ADD A LINE ITEM INTO THE MIDDLE OF AN INVOICE OR QUOTE WITHOUT PAYING THEM EXTRA MONEY.  

The proposals app can only be used with services, not parts.  Useless.  

The webform cannot ve used with a Captcha, and works very poorly for uploading photos, another feature that you have to pay to customize.  

Now that I have had the Method experience, I’m extremely wary of any service that uses the work integrate

I thought purchase orders would be useful, but if someone makes a purchase order in Method, you can no longer make them in QuickBooks because it will overwrite the PO number.  I ended up paying for another QuickBooks user.  

The whole platform is sold to you based on the fact that a user would not need to use Quickbooks, but, you are probably going to pay more for this product once they add up all the different apps.  I have tried them all and QuickBooks works better than all of them.  Especially if you use QuickBooks online, there is absolutely no reason to use this software at all.  I could write another page on everything else that disappointed me but I have wasted enough time and money on this product as is.  My current goal is to get a refund, but they tell you that there are no refunds after one month, which is exactly how much time it takes for your reps to find another job and tell you they are leaving.

Integration to QuickBooks and the ability to build out whatever data points we need to track for our jobs.  We track chemicals used at each job site and parts that are used as well along with scheduled maintenance and other important data points related to each job.

I would like to find a better customizable Dashboard.  I know they are out there but haven't had the time to look into a good Dashboard and KPI monitor.

We are a growing company and have been using QB Enterprise (Desktop version) for years.  We required a tight two-way integration/synchronization between our CRM and ERP software tools.  We spoke to all the leading CRM software developers; we had demonstrations, sometimes 2 or 3, from possible CRM providers.  We finally decided on Method for two principle reasons; 1. they have an "out of the box" integration with QB Enterprises that was simple to install.  2. There customer support has been excellent; this is an important point when implementing new software.

We need some customization to satisfy our needs; this was expected as no two businesses are alike.  The customization needs to be done by Method.

Be thorough in your review of the  CRM software tools; if a tight integration between the QB ERP software and your CRM is needed, Method is the clear option for you.

I absolutely love that Method keeps everyone on the loop of what is going on at your job. It facilitates every step and you can work smoothly without worrying where to find all of the information from your job.
The section that includes Opportunities and activities are the ones that I use the most to keep everything organized of what happened throughout the day.
I am usually contacting and following up with potential customers and I think having the dashboard with all of the information from my job,is absolutely helpful.

Actually,there is not such a thing as disliking something from it. It has been the best program to work with.
The only comment I would share is that sometimes it is not too clear how to import all the contacts from an excel spreadsheet. In addition ,I just found out how everything should be updated in the activities section so I do not have to apply an update on the description.
Probably a reminder on how to log this information in,would be appreciated.

They offer very helpful virtual appointments to get us set up and automated with our website.  I like how customizable it is. I have experience with using several CRMs and I wanted to get away from the higher-priced canned version offered for my industry into something that would spur me into more creativity and innovation for my own small business's best needs.

I wish attachments could feed to QBO somehow.  There should be a way to favorite, flag or prioritize activities.  Method can be a little laggy and frustrating at times for remote workers in areas with weaker internet.  The Gmail plugin is annoying in that it doesn't work well with emails from 3rd parties, such as my voicemail app and forwarded emails.  It won't allow me to add the info from certain emails and the search for a new lead feature seems like too many clicks when it doesn't pull the right account up automatically. I hope they will continue to improve these things.

I am spending far less time on administrative work and improving my ability to delegate tasks, which gives me both the time and the ability to do what I really want to be doing. **What do you like best about Method CRM?**

It syncs easily with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. I also like how responsive and helpful the support and dev teams are from Method CRM.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

Not as intuitive as it could be, especially the customization features. Also, could use more marketing automation features.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our tech support/sales team can now create estimates easily and look up past sales data. It has saved the team a bunch of time, preventing back and forth with orders team.

When I press the return button on my mouse, it returns to the previous web page, not to the previous view. Example, when viewing a customer's invoice, using the back button takes me back to my list of customers not back the customer's invoices.

Make sure not to need a lot of customization, it starts to add up on the costing.

To have all contacts in one place and easily set reminders. It would be perfect if it would integrate with the outlook calendar.

We love Method for it's responsive customer support and flexibility for customizations!

Method is very flexible, but requires some time to get fully set up and customized.

The quickbooks integration and support for adjustable user permissions allows us to control data much more effectively, keeping everyone in the loop at all times. This was impossible with other systems we tried.

**What do you like best about Method CRM?**

It's rare these days that you can get help on the phone, but Method support is always there, and extremely helpful. I also LOVE their customization team. The program works perfectly for our photography business and my virtual assistant (in another state) can easily access and see her daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Method CRM?**

There is a classic and new version. When we did customizations, they are specific to only one version. But team did offer to make them visible in both.

**What problems is Method CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am the owner, and love the ability to have a Virtual Assistant use the system remotely and effectively. That is the biggest benefit for sure. Nowadays, we don't always work in the same office, or STATE and Method makes it easy for my team to access and work from anywhere.
