"Was very pleased with the overall product - seemed very efficient."

What do you like best?

What I liked best overall was the connectivity between elements of the system. Each item (from nonconformances to CAPAs, to internal audits, was linked effectively. There weren't duplicate steps that needed to be taken or unnecessary steps to take to complete QMS elements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The cost of the software was extremely high (at least for a small-midsize manufacturing company like oursevles). The product itself was great - but it was difficult for us to find a way to implement it within our budget. Being the type of company we are - we don't have the funds or the resources that would've been necessary to get something like this implemented the way it was set up to be rolled out. Recommendations to others considering the product:

The ONLY setback we had in selecting Master Control for our company was the pricing levels. We were having trouble finding a pricing solution that fit our budget (as well as the implementation costs). We worked with the system as a trial to see if it would fit our needs. Again - the only dealbreaker at the time was the cost. If our budget allows it in the future; I would definitely push to get Master Control for our QMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Master Control does provide a FULL and flexible solution to manage a complete QMS system. It eliminates the work of a company having to manually create the proper structure and guides the consumer along the process. A lot of the elements are able to be plug and play. Also - one of the things we were looking for was the ability to synchronize across several smaller companies internationally. Master Control offered that flexibility as well as the language configuration to support our non-domestic sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice end user functionality"

What do you like best?

The new user interface is great for end users. Everything is available right on their main page, and you can favorite documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

No specialized classes for system administrators. A new reporting application was installed and the class is only available once a year, if you go to their summit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Everything comes at a price with MasterControl. It's frustrating when they do an upgrade, have new functionally, and require you to pay for a class if you want to learn how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use their process forms, CAPA, and documents module. We're able to electronically capture the signatures we need in a timely manner. Records are stored with the forms module, which ensures they don't get lost. The CAPA module captures FDA required information for nonconformances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
