From initial database configuration to ongoing optimisation, their swift and responsive communication ensured that any queries or adjustments were addressed promptly. One of the standout features of Mahalo is its flexibility, offering a range of options for project-specific configuration. This adaptability allowed us to tailor the database to our study’s unique requirements, enhancing data collection and management efficiency. Furthermore, Mahalo’s capability to integrate patient-directed data input through a dedicated app provides a comprehensive solution for capturing real-time patient-reported outcomes, significantly enriching our dataset. Given our positive experience, we are now planning to extend the use of Mahalo for an upcoming project. The customizable case report forms are another highlight, we were able to tailor data fields to each study, ensuring cleaner and more relevant data collection. Additionally, Mahalo's support team has been consistently responsive and helpful, often addressing technical questions or request within a day or two. **What do you dislike about Mahalo?** There have been a few instances we needed a feature such as automated data exports or more granular permission settings, that wasn't fully implemented at the time. That said, the Mahalo team has been receptive to feedback, and we've seen steady improvements with each update. **What problems is Mahalo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to using Mahalo, our team relied heavily on a patchwork of tools such as spreadsheets, email, and manual follow up to collect questionnaires and track participant status. This was not only time consuming and labour intensive, but was also prone to errors and delays. Mahalo solved this by providing a centralised platform for data collection, communication, and monitoring. Now, we use Mahalo to distribute surveys and generates progress reports in real time. Instead of running scores in batch offline, Mahalo enabled us to obtain results instantly upon completion. Their team successfully translated the algorithm from an old legacy system to their platform while maintaining the accuracy of the scores.
