"Convinced & Converted — Logic Pro X is the Best DAW"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

Out of the box, It is the perfect blend between a creative tool for ground-up production and an absolute powerhouse for editing, mixing, and Mastering. The latest release now supports Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

Honestly, there are very few things I dislike about it. If I could request some improvements, it would be around selecting plugins when working on a project or session. Easy to get used to, but uncollapsing trees upon trees of plugins can be a little gesture heavy. The UI for everything else that comes stock is so well done that I feel like it wouldn't be out of scope for the LPX team to develop something more powerful. "Powerful and intuitive for advanced sound design and music editing"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

Logic just feels so good to use. Everything is laid out in a smooth way. I can find all the tools I use most often without struggling. The sound editing tools are extensive right out of the box. I don't need many, if any, software add-ons to complete my editing jobs with optimal results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

Since it is an advanced editing platform, some the editing actions can be complicated to execute. I wish there were more tools for compression and sound modifications. I prefer not to have a VST plugins work so similarly to the physical sound modules. I prefer more consistency across all VSTs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Industry standard for good reasons"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

Logic is the only DAW I need to work on a variety of musical projects in an array of genres. It’s useful for working with audio, MIDI, writing to picture, or recording live sessions. I love the clean minimal UI where tools and handles are hidden until you hover over things. It’s fast, versatile and pretty reliable these days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

There are occasional bugs, but they are usually ironed out pretty quickly. Working to picture in Logic can be a bit unintuitive to start with due to how it handles tempo changes. Flex pitch can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, but I still find it incredibly useful when editing vocal lines. Also, the score editor is quite useless and hardly ever used. I need to use additional software to create and edit scores. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Industry Standard: Powerful, Versatile and Efficient. Suitable for users of all backgrounds"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

Logic Pro X has a wonderfully intuitive and efficient workflow that is pleasant to work with at every stage, from recording and editing through to mixing and mastering. The DAW is suitable for users of all backgrounds and experience and able to be used for a wide range of projects from music production to ADR/Foley recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

Logic Pro X is exclusive to Mac so this can be a barrier or a deterrent for new users who may not already own a Mac. Users familiar/comfortable with Windows machines may find that its not worth it to purchase a Mac simply to be able to use Logic Pro X. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Logic Pro X for the win"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

I've been using Logic and Pro Tools for almost 10 years now for my music editing needs. Logic has always had a more user-friendly interface and fantastic build-in and free plug-ins. While both apps allow you to edit and enhance your audio, as well as work on video projects, Logic, to me, has been far more intuitive. What's more is that I've never had to struggle with a dongle, which is a major drawback for me, especially when the dongle fails and I am unable to get into Pro Tools or access my plugins. Logic Pro X is just uncomplicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

I'm not sure this really applies to Logic as it does to the power of my computers. I've had to upgrade a lot of my hardware to make Logic Pro X work fluidly without popping up resource errors. It's been costly to put together a computer with enough processing power to handle the number of tracks I create and plugins I use. In saying that, Pro Tools was not much different. Fewer resource warnings, but still irritating when you're in the middle of a session and can't move forward without shutting down apps to reallocate processing power. "Terrific Program For Producers, Novice to Intermediate"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

I enjoy being able to work with all kinds of genres easily. I produce music in a variety of styles and it's great to be able to use a program that has a robust audio track work-system, and an intuitive midi and sample-based sector. You can easily switch between production phases, from arrangement, to mixing, to mastering, with ease and all with a lovely looking and easily navigable interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

While Logic Pro X is a great program all-around, it could be better when it comes to sample-based music styles, such as all forms of electronic dance music. The program recently received a massive update, which serves as an overhaul of its sampler-system, switching out the old, ugly, and outdated EXS24 sampler for the shiny, new, and much more utilitarian quick-sampler and multi-sampler tools. The sampling capabilities in logic improved dramatically thereafter, but there is still room for improvement in this area, and it falls short in this aspect when compared with DAWs such as FL Studio and Ableton. "User-friendly interface that packs a punch"
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

As a Mac user, the speed and efficiency of using a program like Logic is paramount for a variety of audio production endeavors. I was first interested in switching from a previous DAW because of the Inspector functionality in Logic Pro X, and utilizing it for midi orchestration. The more I dug into the software, the more I realized how fully optimized Logic is for full-blown studio production, and I’ll likely never go back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

I am nervous about upgrading my os because of rumors around Logic Pro X’s compatibility with the new update. Some kind of announcement from the company concerning compatibility would put my mind at ease before upgrading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
