Nothing, they dropped the package I liked

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

They dropped their self-service package with only 1 month's warning and no migration path except for to upgrade to their (unaffordable) enterprise package. I also didn't even realize they did this because they sent the email from their marketing domain, which I have under my email filters (rich, for an email company!) Do not trust these guys. Support is just an AI robot that tells you to buy the enterprise package. Absolute joke.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

I appreciate that Litmus allows me to share email content with people who may not have a Litmus license. I also value the feature that lets me highlight specific areas and indicate exactly where I suggest making edits within the content.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

This is a minor issue, but I would prefer if a pin or comment could stay attached to the specific item it refers to. For instance, when commenting on an image, if the creator moves that image, the pin currently stays in its original position rather than moving with the image. I’m not sure if it’s technically possible to change this, but it’s a small concern compared to everything else Litmus provides.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus has made collaborating with others incredibly easy. Before we started using Litmus, our team relied on countless emails, which often led to confusion and messages getting crossed. Now, with Litmus, our workflow is much smoother. I would be truly disappointed if we ever lost access to this tool.

Litmus is an incredibly powerful tool for anyone working in email marketing. I really like how it allows me to preview emails across dozens of devices and email clients before sending. The design insights and spam testing features save a lot of time and reduce the risk of errors. The analytics are also very useful, especially when tracking engagement and performance at a granular level.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

The main drawback is the price — it can be quite expensive, especially for small teams or businesses. Some features feel like they should be included in the lower-tier plans but are only available at higher price points. The interface, while clean, could also be a bit faster when switching between previews.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

Litmus has made my role at work so much easier! It has been a breeze to check emails on all different platforms on one website. I used to have to send emails from the ESP to all different email addresses and check them from my phone, tablet, and desktop. With Litmus, I have saved so much time. I also love the fact that our clients can make corrections directly in the email, letting us know what to change or fix. It's also very easy to send emails directly from the ESP to Litmus to check for spam issues!

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

We sometimes have issues where the code doesn't update the changes, but they are seen in the previews. This can be frustrating when there is a tight turnaround on a deadline, and we have to go back and forth between the two previews to see what hasn't been changed.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus is solving the problem of checking the emails to make sure they look great across providers and platforms. Before Litmus, we had to do this manually and it just took forever. Litmus has saved me hours of time allowing me to test emails on different providers and platforms directly on Litmus!

The length view allows you to view all your email client tests at once and zoom your browser in with full resolution.  This allows me to eyeball and complete visual design/layout QA within 2 minutes, instead of opening each individual email-client test result to verify.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

There is no automatic email folder sorting. So it can just become a big running list.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus enables us to confidently send out all our marketing campaigns by allowing us to visually-check individual emails before we send them out.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

One of the main upsides of using Litmus is the dynamic preview that is updated as and when we code, also the previews from different devices which helps to understand the rendering in various email clients and devices.
Also the Litmus personalize pro which helps build reusable content blocks with ease.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

Some downsides I have faced is the platform is a little slow sometimes and it takes a longer time to load previews and sometimes throws "page not responding" error.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus is majorly solving the issue to test mail templates in various devices by instead offering all device previews in one place.
Also it helps in solving the problem of hosting assets we use in our email templates as litmus does that for us.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

I've used Litmus for years. It beats Email on Acid hands down. The Builder feature is intuitive. Overall if you build emails, templates etc you're going to need a platform that shows you how your work looks on a bunch of platforms. Litmus is the best. The ability to quickly share preview sets to stakeholders is great too.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

If it was more intuitive to narrrow down previews to just one or two problem browsers so that I'm not going through the previews quite as quickly would be great, Also the Salesforce plug-in is so limited as to be pointless. But overall, until someone does better, Litmus rules.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistency across browsers and the cause of hair loss de jour Dark Mode.

Litmus makes email creation easy! From coding highlights to snippets and templates, it's easy to integrate business specific and critical dynamic coding into the platform to use in our system. Haven't used customer support that much but it is helpful when needed. I use this tool daily, and don't know what I would do without it. Highly recommend!

Can't think of anything that I don't like.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

Litmus helps us know as email marketers quickly and efficiently what our emails look like across a wide spectrum of platforms and devices. The renderings are delivered at remarkable speed, and the preview pane is designed for collaboration. I like being able to make notes on the individual renders so that my team can communicate clearly about where the issues might lie. We use Litmus for all of our templates, roughly 2-3 sends daily.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

The only downside is that it can take a lot of time to click through all of the proofs, and I wish that the preview pane tiles could expand with a hover rather than a full slide show.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus is helping solve a few problems:
1. How do we create content that renders at time of open
2. How do we test our emails across a wide variety of platforms and devices to make sure that our designs are optimized for all of our audience
3. When we come across a problem, how can we experiment with our HTML coding without inadvertently breaking the design already in our email marketing platform.

I love that you can view email previews across all devices - and the program checks to see if your creative is ADA compliant and passes accessibility checks. The platform is easy to use and a great starter platform for both new and experienced email developers.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

There are some render issues in certain previews that litmus creates, the most recent one I can think of is using rounded edges in iPhone previews for CTA buttons will error, and show as blank.

Litmus solves the issue and addresses the need to optimize one email for multiple email clients and devices. It benefits me because it keeps my creative organized, efficient, and gives my team a space for everyine to review.

Excellent reporting and feedback dashboard.  Makes it easy to track and show ROI to clients.

High initial cost for low volume clients.  Occasional bugs in later build client reporting.

Streamlining email marketing, providing metric and feedback on campaign results.  Works with dev/QA to visualize email output in various browsers/clients.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

1. I am still learning the Litmus platform, but I am already in love with such features as Personalized Content and Email Guardian. 
2. The interface is intuitive and user friendly. 
3. Litmus content, like their newsletters, is an absolute delight—well-written and visually stunning. They remind me of a delicious cupcake that I want to sink my teeth into right away! :)
4. Last but not the least, customer support seems to be friendly and fast.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

1. Not 100% sure yet (I am still learning). But I think I'd like to see more ready-to-go templates.
2. Also, it may be slow sometimes to render email previews and when I send out a test email to my inbox, that email is just all blank. However, it doesn't happen often.
3. Currently, I can only send test emails to the addresses we have set up in Litmus. I’d love the option to send to additional email addresses.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

What I like about Litmus is its capability to address and support their customers in all aspects of their marketing requirements. May it be, email design, building, testing, review and approvals, spam testing, and analytics. Our email templates, modules and brand colors are stored in Litmus. We design and build emails in Litmus and sync them to our ESP. With our ESP being directly integrated to Litmus, we don't always have to go back and forth on email testing. Emails can be reviewed without leaving ESP instance.  

Analytics are superb, it gives us data how our subscribers are engaging on our campaigns, what email clients and devices they use to read our emails. This whole set of data give us a full view on how to approach and improve our email marketing program. 

It is really worth the investment. Litmus is always there to support their customers' success.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

Our company has a number of sub-accounts. Hopefully a feature on how to share templates, snippets and partials between sub-accounts would be a great ease of use. Right now, when there is a need to update on one template, I have to manually make changes on affected sub-accounts. Copying of snippets between sub-accounts will be great too.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual testing - Before Litmus, we do our testing by using two phones (Android, IOS), an Ipad, and a desktop. It was a manual way of testing our emails on limited devices and email clients. We were not considerate how email renderings have affected email engagement. Litmus served as our eye-opener. It was a 360-degree change in our email marketing program.

Litmus is a fantastic tool for email testing and optimization. It makes previewing how emails look across different devices and clients incredibly easy, saving tons of time. The analytics features are also super helpful for improving engagement. If you want polished, effective emails, Litmus is a must-have!

Additionally, if best practices like live text and dark mode are implemented, the tool allows you to preview how the emails will look across various devices. It’s fast, helps identify coding errors, and ensures accurate visualization of how users are receiving communications.

important and urgent thing that needs to be fixed is about email client settings, currently the default email client settings are very rigid. I mean every newly created email will be rendered based on the default email client group. but can this setting be flexible? so every email that is created will be rendered based on the default email group that we have chosen ourselves, so if the user has chosen the default group of their choice, then that will render the first email preview.

Overall, i like all the features of litmus such as Review matrix, We can visualize our emails easily for almost all the email clients, Sharing of emails to approver for approval on design and content etc. In my company we are mainly using Litmus to test our email againt all the review matrix and sharing the emails with approver for approval. And ofcousre, easy to integrate with Salesforce marketing cloud and even we can preview our email in sfmc itself agaist various email clients. So easy to use :)

Let's say if any email is not fully responsive of geeting break for some of the email client then tools should also provide the suggestion how we can improve that email or where is the exact issue because of that it is breaking for some of the email client like any version of outlook.

Challenges were good and random, Litmus test includes both objective as well as programming skills as the name says "Litmus". Users can very easily understand the usage of the application as the implementation was very clean and neat, feature rich application. Customer support was also available just in case of a need. Frequency of attempts were monthly once, upon failure.

Nothing dislikes. Probably, publishing the answers and solutions to the challenges faced during the test can help add more value.

Litmus is simple to use and quick to send a test email and see results across many different email providers. I like the options of being able to show or block images, see emails in dark mode and all the different mobile provider options. The tool is helpful in suggesting edits for accessibility, subject lines and broken links. I like the integrations with email automation platforms so that I can run tests directly in the software that I'm sending the email. A great tool for the email QA process!

The new personalization pieces are really interesting, but the plan that we have doesn't have enough impressions to support the volume of email we send and unfortunately it's not in our budget to increase costs at this time.

I love Litmus! It is the best for email marketing rendering. With the importance of visual appeal and the complexity of templates, there's a lot of potential variability between email clients. Litmus has you covered.  I've needed to use over 70 previews per email on some projects. 

The analytics feature is good to help understand where your focus should be.  They set up adds a few minutes per email.

You do have to eyeball each preview, it would be nice if they auto-flag emails that don't look like the proof and where the variation is.  Can the checklist and approval link to Workfront?

Emails look different in different combinations of client and hardware. This lets you see all the reasonable variations.

Litmus email previews are game changer for me in my role. It alleviates a lot of the pressure of email marketing by being able to review as my renders of my emails as possible.
Email Guardian makes me feel secure knowing that if there are any updates for clients or mobile changes, I will be updated and can review 'always on' emails.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

I have been using the Analytics tab for the past couple months and it's not very inutitive to use. The resources around the topic are helpful but it's still complicated and hard to get the most out of that tool.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Litmus enables my team to review all renders in an efficient manner.  The QA section is a final checklist for our email templates and a great source to learn more about how our emails are accessible for all users. Litmus resources and tool tips have also helped me gain more confidence in a ever changing and complcated email world. The beta for AI has also been super helpful for copy testing for subject lines!

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

As a long time email developer, Litmus saves me over and over again. Gone are the days of having to test multiple test emails to endless testing accounts. Litmus brings all of the QA process together with a number of features and allows me to spot areas of concern instantly. Their platform - and Previews and QA tool - is reliable and gives me peace of mind that my code is secure and working across as many platforms as possible. The Proof tool allows me to share with clients and Analytics just adds to making my job easier. Integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud has made Litmus become integral to my work.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

I don't use the Builder tool a lot - mainly because I'm a coder who uses other platforms for this.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

I work with a lot of HTML from other marketing departments at other companies and I need to ensure the email presentation they think they're sending out will look correct across multiple email platforms and devices -- because we're sending those emails out to our owned audience on their behalf. Litmus makes it simple to quality check everything, I love the clear line by line access/ability to troubleshoot everyone's different coding styles, and having visuals in different email platforms (that I don't personally have) to show our clients how and where the errors are presenting is fantastic. I like being able to save snippets of code, and being able to see how emails look in different color settings.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

I wish there was an undo button. Sometimes I accidently a button I didn't mean to and I have no idea where or how I did that -- all I know is that I've messed something up -- and there not being an "undo" option means often having to start all over. I also don't like the errors that Litmus cannot see. Its hard to explain because there's really no reason for it. There have been multiple instances of having the green light on the email in every possible way and I still have a very different reality in my own email inbox, or a client shares screenshots of errors they still see too. Those situtions leave me editing blindly or completely redesigning the layout. This has happened enough times now that I know I can't trust the Litmus results 100% of the time, but 95% of the time is still definately enough to keep it a mainstay in my daily used tool box.

We use Litmus to test marketing emails before sending them. Especially when we're using a new design or template, although we send nearly every email to Litmus before sending it to our marketing list officially. It would be nearly impossible for us to test the email against every common device variation including dark mode without this tool and we often find small bugs that can make a big difference.

I don't like having to be conscious of the preview limit, although this isn't usually a problem.

That helps us to review & test the mail before we sent them out to our customers - to see what they will see. Secondly, I like the insights for preparing an e-mail campaign since Litmus test all the stuff like subject line, preview text, links so I see at one point where I have to do some adjustments. Also the e-mail builder, the snippets and custom stuff for e-mail templates helps us to create the best out of an e-mail - everything is on hand and saved for repeating blocks like the e-mail footer. The integration to our sending system works as expected and save us much time.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

For now, I didn't use the new feature of AI and the 'e-mail guardian' that monitors your mailing and helping you by creating subject lines and content. But it seems powerful and I have to explore this soon.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like the preview feature to see at a glance the preview of the e-mail for different providers and browser. Therefore I do not have to test this on my own which save us a lot of time! Also the e-mail testing for all the stuff around the e-mail like subject and preview text is helpful for us to check everything before it goes out to our customers.

**What do you like best about Litmus?**

I particularly love being able to leverage Litmus's feature of partials and snippets, as part of a larger email design template library for my clients. It's super simple to do and drives efficiency and accuracy. The tool is great to not only build emails in HTML but is valuable with the ability to preview and test across devices and ISPs all within one platform. Overall it's such a valuable tool in my stack and well worth investing in.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

When it detects breaks in code, or code that isn't "closed" it would be really helpful for AI to come in during the QA process to provide suggestions for the HTML code that is missing or should be used to remedy these issues that are detected.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great tool for building emails and testing for email rendering across all email clients and devices.

Litmus in Aeromexico's day to day operations

Litmus has become a fundamental tool in Aeromexico's email operations, it is very helpful that the platform is so user friendly and so easy to use to test emails on the different devices that the platform offers:

Builder (It is one of the tools I use the most within Litmus).

The loading speed is immediate
The selection of devices in a simple way
Having preloaded lists with different clients and devices
The code error detector is wonderful 
Sending test emails is very helpful
Generating previews of emails helps for team approvals.

Templetes

Templates with basic structure help us a lot to make a shell even though they are limited. 

Customize

It is a tool that has us very excited and we hope to have more content to reference and implement it in our emails.

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

Builder

In particular I am a person who works at night and I have noticed that the platform undergoes productive updates at night, it is not something that bothers me, but it would be great a notice within the platform that confirms the update. 

Design

I wish there were many more templates to help us create shells for emails, plus I see an opportunity for improvement which would be to have charging templates as reallygoodemails.com does.

I do not use the modules within design, they are complex to use, it would be great if there were default modules to take them as a reference and start creating new ones.

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly the device display problems is where litmus is very helpful, as well as generating previews of the emails before sending a test is very helpful.

Litmus is easy to use, with very little barrier to entry, and packs a punch - especially in the reporting area via the pixel. Robust tracking.

There are limits to how many opens we can track; but this is the same for all competitors. Litmus is generous with limits which helps with testing.

We get great use out of Litmus for previewing emails in various inboxes and on various devices. It's especially great when trialling new email templates!

**What do you dislike about Litmus?**

There should be an option to increase preview limits without upgrading to another package (significantly pricer for features we won't use).

**What problems is Litmus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our emails tend to appear differently in different servers, particulally in outlook. This allows us to access all of these servers quickly and in one place.
