I really like Linear's sleek and nice UI, which is a step above other alternatives for organizing and making sense of our plans. Its integrations with GitHub and other platforms are very developer friendly. I find the AI features particularly useful for triaging external requests and scanning through hundreds or thousands of existing tickets. The keyboard shortcuts and command palette are very nice features that make navigation easier. There are so many little moments in its design where I wonder if I can do something new, and it just works perfectly. For example, writing up a plan in a project description and turning it into tickets felt intuitive and worked perfectly the first time I tried it. It's very thoroughly considered and carefully designed, and I feel that makes Linear stand out. It is easy to use and the the insights are easy to build in Linear. The customer is auto tagged in linear showcasing the potential duplicate ones are awesome. I worked at an AI tech startup that used Linear for all of its project management, and it was great for organizing our work. I could push and make comments directly to show my teammates using the magic word commands, and they could leave comments on my git that I could see in our Linear. I used the 'make a ticket' feature the most, along with the comments section to keep up with everything. The magic words got confusing, and I didn't know the exact purpose for some of them. The structure for the magic words was just confusing and unexplained, so we just used them however we wanted. It would be easier if there was an explanation of what each magic word did, and if the magic words could pop up in Git. I had to type them in myself, unlike in Git where you might get a label pop-up. I think earlier their mobile app, at least the iOS app, was not that good. I haven't used it since, but my experience from at least six months ago was not positive. Apart from that, Linear has not very good analytics or reporting capabilities.
