What problems is Krisp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I started using Krisp, I was already using a separate app for recording meetings and getting meeting notes. On top of that, I work in a pretty noisy environment, so background noise during meetings was something I constantly had to think about. I’d have to wonder if people could hear what was happening around me, especially when I was on an important call.
What I really like about Krisp is that it basically brought several things I needed into one place. I get the noise cancellation, meeting recording, and AI meeting notes all in one app. That alone has made my workflow more convenient because I’m not jumping between different tools just to get through a meeting.
The noise cancellation is still the feature I value the most. It gives me a lot more confidence when I’m on a call because I don’t have to be as conscious of every little noise happening around me. It’s one of those features that you really appreciate when you work somewhere that isn’t completely quiet. 😂
The AI meeting notes have also become something I really like having. I don’t always need to go back and listen to an entire meeting just to find one thing that was discussed. I can look at the notes first and usually get what I need much faster. It does still make mistakes with names and some words, but I think that’s something that will continue to improve as the AI gets better.
The app itself is pretty straightforward, which I appreciate. I don’t feel like I have to spend a lot of time figuring out where things are. The one thing that still frustrates me is finding older meetings. Sometimes I know the meeting happened, but finding the exact one isn’t as easy as I’d like. I think this is an area where AI could actually be really useful — maybe automatically giving meetings more descriptive titles based on what was discussed.
I haven’t really taken advantage of the integrations yet. Part of that is because there aren’t as many options as I would expect, and honestly, I’m also a little hesitant about connecting Krisp to something like Slack. Before I connect it to another platform, I’d want to be very clear about what information Krisp can access and what gets shared. More integration options and clearer explanations around permissions would make me more comfortable exploring that side of the product.
Performance-wise, I’ve been happy with it. The noise cancellation is the part I rely on the most, and it has been consistent enough that I don’t really have to think about it once it’s turned on. That’s probably the best kind of software feature — when it just does its job in the background.
I do think Krisp is expensive. 😂 But at the same time, I’m willing to pay for it because I was already using another tool for recording and meeting notes, and Krisp gives me those functions along with noise cancellation in one place. So while I still think the price is on the higher side, I can see the value in having everything together rather than paying for or managing multiple tools.
As for support and onboarding, I honestly haven’t had much interaction with their support team, so I don’t have a lot to say about that. I was able to figure out most of the things I needed on my own, which I think says something positive about how easy the product is to use. I just think having a little more guidance around integrations and some of the less obvious features could help users get more out of it.
All in all, Krisp has become one of those tools that I didn’t realize would be this useful until I actually started using it. It solves a very specific problem for me with the noise cancellation, while also replacing some of the functionality I was getting from another app. It’s not perfect, but the combination of those features in one place has made my meeting workflow a lot easier.
