What I like the most about Krisp is that I can turn it on and off right easily by just clicking the button in just a second, which is really handy. I think it's affordable because it's less than a $100 a year, which I find pretty reasonable. It's also pretty much easy to install. I've only had to reach customer service once, and I got a fair response in a timely fashion, with no major problems. I think it has a clean interface, which I like. I never had a problem with it. But with the last update, whenever the fan blows air directly to my face, in the direction of this headset that I'm using right now, then Krisp stops working and then I have to turn it off and continue speaking. I really like Krisp's noise reduction feature. I can have somebody clapping next to me, and it won't be heard by the microphone; only my voice will be. Even if a dog is barking in the front of my house or if I'm typing something, those sounds won't be picked up. This is crucial in a medical interpreting environment. The initial setup was very easy, allowing me to follow step by step. It also shows how sound changes with and without Krisp, and the noise reduction is amazing. It integrates well with my calendars, software. Krisp has a minimalist and user-friendly interface compared to the previous solution, SteelSeries, which was more geared towards music production. Overall, it's a really good tool for achieving a noise-free environment, and I think it's beneficial not only for medical interpreting but for everyone wanting clear communication. I believe the only thing that can be improved by Krisp is the update feature. I recently had a slight problem with the update. I wasn't able to update Krisp even though I tried like four or five times. So what I had to do is uninstall the complete software and install it again from the website. I have been a Krisp user for 5 years, and colleagues on the other side of team calls can't hear my dog barking at the Amazon driver in the background. In the past I criticized Krisp's reliability and customer service after they ignored my issues. Since then things have turned around: Krisp now reliably records all my meetings, and I have rejoined the paid plan, although I missed the renewal discount. I like that Krisp actually works. It's robust in performance and does a good job isolating my voice even when I stress test it, like banging a metal cup with a pencil while talking. It removes background noise effectively without cutting out my voice excessively, unlike other noise-canceling technologies. I think there are some features that Krisp is pushing that aren't necessary at least for me. Everything from the accents translation to the note-taking and other productivity tools, which might be useful in some cases, don't need to notify me about meetings or administrative tasks since my other apps like Apple Mail or Apple Calendar do that. Occasionally, there's an unintended consequence where I can't really put on background music while my students are doing an exercise, and that's fine—usually, I just switch it off, but those are really minor complaints. I really like the noise cancelling feature for my microphone. I have a studio mic which has really good quality sound, however it picks up sound from other rooms so I am happy that Krisp cancels out all the background noise. I think the only thing I dislike is the price, I think it would feel more worth it if it was a little bit lower. Also I pay in £ GBP which changes slightly each month to align with the changing of $ USD. I would like there to be a stable price in £ GBP as sometimes it is more expensive than other times. I do think it's sometimes difficult to find a meeting that is being recorded. That's because the descriptions only give you kinda, like, date and time which means cross referencing with my calendar, which is a bit of a fad. I feel like it takes a lot of storage space. I don't like that it keeps popping up whenever a call ends. There is a setting to make it manual, which is good, but that's so far the only thing that annoys me.
